Lord of the Truth

Chapter 2340 Title

Somewhere in Mid Sector 101—

Hummm.

A small golden portal quietly opened in the middle of the raging environment, and Robin stepped out from within it with both hands clasped calmly behind his back, showing no trace of urgency despite the violent surroundings.

Rumble! Rumble!

Above him, a violent storm churned with tremendous force, its dark mass spreading across the sky as though it wanted to swallow the entire planet whole. The surrounding rocks were shifting and rolling under the intensity of the winds, while countless trees were being uprooted from the ground and hurled through the air like worthless debris caught in a flood, yet Robinʼs clothes did not flutter in the slightest, as though the storm itself instinctively avoided touching him.

”Hmm, the coordinates werenʼt particularly accurate this time.” Robin calmly looked around, taking in the unfamiliar terrain before spreading out his spiritual sense over a vast distance. After locating what he was searching for, he began moving leisurely in a certain direction without altering his relaxed pace. ”Well, it isnʼt too far away either.”

Hummm. Glatheon stepped out from the portal a moment later, and the golden opening immediately closed behind him. ”...?” After casting a quick but careful glance around at the storm, the shattered terrain, and the unfamiliar environment, Glatheon hurried after Robin with visibly faster steps. ”Where are we now, Your Majesty? I expected us to return to Donara so you could begin preparing the reinforcements and resources needed for Lord Zavaros and Lord Kiryan!”

”Weʼre in Mid Sector 101. I have a postponed destination here that I should have visited earlier.” Robin continued advancing calmly, his gaze fixed ahead as though the chaos around them did not exist.

”Mid Sector 101?!” Glatheon looked surprised and momentarily slowed down before catching up again. ”Werenʼt we already here only two hours ago?”

”Yes.” Robin nodded without turning around. ”I intended to make this visit back then, but while we were still in the cave, I received word from the Shadow Swords that Marlik the Butcher had arrived in Mid Sector 105 and had already been received by Zavarosʼs followers, so I had to adjust my plans slightly... I went to Kaylis to waste some time, enough time for Marlik to reach the Savage Galaxy, meet Zavaros, and bully him a little before I appeared.”

”You already knew Lord Marlik was here?!” Glatheonʼs eyes opened to their limits, and his expression immediately shifted as he recalled everything that had happened.

”Yes.” Robin nodded once again. ”I was heading toward Zavaros anyway and had already requested his coordinates, which was precisely why the Shadow Swords warned me about Marlikʼs presence in the area. But rather than discouraging me, that news only made me happier and gave me even more reason to go... because I wanted to deliver a message.”

”....” Glatheon looked puzzled for a moment before asking, ”The message that Marlik the Butcher told him to deliver to the Archon?”

”Those words? No.” Robin shook his head lightly. ”The real message was the imprint of my shoe on his face.”

”...?” Glatheon stared at him in silence, clearly uncertain whether Robin was joking or speaking with complete seriousness.

”Truthfully, when Aro informed me that the Nihari Galaxy had been attacked and that we had won, I smiled, but beneath that smile I was sad... and furious.” Robin tilted his head slightly as his expression grew colder. ”That galaxy is my home, my backyard, the place where everything I built began. How could a group of scum attack me there in such a manner? Is it truly so easy to attack my galaxy without suffering consequences? How could they even consider doing such a thing in the first place?! Even though every one of them was destroyed in the end, the mere fact that they dared to do it affected my mood greatly.”

”....” Glatheon nodded slowly as understanding appeared on his face. ”Thatʼs why you wanted to announce that youʼre powerful and dangerous enough to be treated as the primary target, so they would focus their attention on you personally and postpone any plans aimed at the galaxy itself.”

”Or at least send a respectable army next time!” Robin spoke resentfully, his annoyance becoming more obvious. ”They sent me an army that was already fleeing from a war in a neighboring sector, as though my galaxy was some convenient place where they could discard exhausted forces and still expect success. That was genuinely insulting!” Then he suddenly chuckled, the coldness in his expression turning into anticipation. ”I want to see what theyʼll decide to do after everything that happened today.”

”....” Glatheon nodded again, though his expression remained serious. ”I can imagine the threats will multiply, the enemies will become more cautious, and the danger surrounding us will increase considerably.”

”Let it increase.” Robin casually waved his hand as though the matter were of little importance. ”Iʼve become more dangerous as well, and the followers standing behind me are far stronger than they were before. Whoever chooses to escalate against me, Iʼll escalate against them in return, and then we can see who is capable of enduring the pressure for longer. Let the one with greater endurance prevail!”

”....” Glatheon continued walking silently beside him for several seconds, carefully considering Robinʼs words before eventually speaking again. ”Do you know what you need, Lord Robin?”

”What I need? Ohoo~” Robin smiled faintly, glancing at him from the corner of his eye. ”And what exactly is it that I supposedly need?”

”A title!” Glatheon declared with absolute certainty, as though he had finally reached an important conclusion.

”...?” Robin stopped walking and looked back at him with one eyebrow raised, his expression showing genuine confusion. ”A title?”

”Yes,” Glatheon quickly replied, taking the question as permission to explain. ”The Cosmic Elder, the Archon, the Chaos Ruler, the Butcher, the Savage, and the Cursed!” Glatheon listed the names one after another, emphasizing each title as though their weight alone was enough to shake entire sectors. ”Every one of them possesses a powerful title that represents their identity, spreads fear before their arrival, and makes their enemies recognize their status immediately. Their true names are rarely even mentioned in public; only those standing at the same level or above them dare utter those names casually!”

Then he continued with a dissatisfied shake of his head, ”But Your Majesty doesnʼt have a title like that, one that distinguishes you immediately from everyone around you. I felt embarrassed repeatedly saying Lord Robin today, then turning around and addressing the others as Lord Kiryan and Lord Zavaros in exactly the same manner. It made all of you sound as though you held the same status and stood on the same level.”

”Haha, thatʼs easy.” Robin waved his hand dismissively and resumed walking as though the solution were obvious. ”Just take their titles away.”

”That would be improper!” Glatheon immediately ran after Robin, refusing to let the matter end there. ”Iʼm still weaker than them and lower in status, so I canʼt simply strip them of their titles and address them however I please!”

”Hmm, I suppose I do have a few titles...” Robin began to look somewhat convinced, thoughtfully considering the names that others had attached to him over the years.

”Lord Human?” Glatheon shook his head almost immediately. ”That makes you sound humble, approachable, and kind, which is rather far from the reality Iʼve witnessed with my own eyes.”

”.....” Robin chuckled. ”I wonʼt argue with you about that one.” Then he casually pointed behind himself twice with his finger. ”What about War Chosen? That sounds fairly powerful...”

Robin had hated that title when he first heard it—not because it was inaccurate, but because of the reason it had been given to him.

Every time he invented something, people somehow found a way to use it in war. Even if he released something intended purely for healing, or even something capable of restoring a womanʼs youth, it would inevitably be dragged into military conflicts almost immediately, and before long people had begun noticing the pattern. He had never produced a single invention that didnʼt either ignite a new war somewhere in the universe or intensify one that was already raging.

Even the Soul Legacy Array, an invention that had strengthened the universe as a whole while greatly increasing the wealth, talent, and personal strength of countless cultivators, had ultimately ignited innumerable wars as factions fought desperately to seize or protect its benefits.

In truth, every invention inevitably possessed military applications, and that was true for every Truth Chosen as well as ordinary people alike. Any sufficiently valuable discovery would eventually become a weapon in someoneʼs hands. It was only because Robinʼs rate of production was so astonishing, and because nearly every one of his creations fundamentally changed the balance of power, that people had begun associating the phenomenon specifically with him...

...or at least, that was what he had convinced himself.

”...War Chosen?” Glatheon rubbed his chin thoughtfully, carefully weighing the title before speaking again. ”Itʼs somewhat better than Lord Human, but I still donʼt think it truly suits you.” Then he slowly shook his head. ”The Cosmic Elder, the Archon, the Chaos Ruler... those are all deeply personal titles. They immediately describe the individual behind them, their status, the authority they possess, and the kind of overwhelming strength people associate with them.”

He continued, ”But War Chosen isnʼt a personal title. It sounds like the designation of someone obsessed with bloodshed, someone who creates wars while watching them unfold from a distance. Unfortunately, that used to be the publicʼs image of you—a man hiding behind the scenes while continuously producing terrifying tools of destruction for everyone else to use. But that image no longer fits who you are. You now possess personal strength worthy of sitting alongside those three as an equal, so your title should reflect you, not merely the consequences of your inventions.”

”Hmmm.” Robin hummed quietly as he approached the bend in the path, clearly giving the matter some thought. ”Then take your time thinking of one. I trust youʼll come up with a good title.”

”...Really?!” Glatheonʼs eyes widened to their limits, his entire expression lighting up with surprise. He immediately stopped where he stood, respectfully bowed, and said, ”Thank you for placing such trust in me.”

To choose the title of someone like this, someone whose name already echoed throughout countless sectors, a title that would one day spread effortlessly across the entire universe and become inseparable from countless future legends, was an immense honor—something he could proudly boast about until the day he died without ever feeling ashamed.

”Heh~” Robin laughed softly before casually turning the corner, showing no concern over the importance Glatheon attached to the matter.

The next moment, he came to a stop, a broad smile gradually appearing on his face.

There sat a man with white hair, cross-legged in meditation with his eyes peacefully closed, completely indifferent to the violent storm surrounding him, as though neither the roaring winds nor the trembling earth possessed the slightest ability to disturb his concentration.

Robin then shifted his gaze toward another direction, where someone else stood hidden within the darkness, staring at him with a single eye overflowing with unmistakable killing intent. It was obvious that the man was silently attempting to gauge the strength of both Robin and his companion before deciding how to react, yet the overwhelming sense of dread pressing down upon him was so intense that he couldnʼt bring himself to take even a single step forward, especially whenever his gaze drifted toward Glatheon and instinctively lingered there.

Seeing him like that, Robin casually raised a hand and waved with a relaxed smile. ”Youʼre Drais, the Four-Star Royal Soul Master, right? Relax. Iʼm Robin Burton!”

After introducing himself so casually, he turned toward Glatheon with a rather strange expression, as though he had suddenly realized something important. ”You were right. Announcing my actual name really does make me sound less impressive, doesnʼt it? Make sure you come up with a truly majestic title for me.”

”Yes, my lord!!”
