Lord of the Truth

Chapter 1999 New Rules

The Sorcerer Behemothʼs refusal to offer assistance-followed immediately by the Temporal Behemothʼs equally firm and absolute rejection-struck the Pure Kaylis with something terrifyingly close to a full panic attack. The weight of abandonment pressed down on her chest, stealing her breath for a fleeting

moment.

She had never been ignorant of what the cursed Darvion was doing: the slow, methodical tightening of the noose around her existence. She was not blind to the legal imprisonment of her children under the false sanctity of marriage, nor unaware of how her own army had been seized and bent to his will by force... yet she understood better than anyone that a direct confrontation with Darvion would be nothing short of suicide.

All she could do was curse her fate for being born into a family that had originally been subordinate to Darvion. And beyond fate, she could only blame herself-herself alone-for her lack of combat experience. Throughout her entire life, she had been carefully raised and protected, groomed to exploit her extraordinarily high affinity to its absolute limits. That nurturing, meant to preserve her value, had instead stripped her of true military strength and leadership experience.

Could she fight? Of course she could-especially within the boundaries of her own galaxy.

But could she truly stand against the cursed Darvion? Could she oppose even a single one of his decrees? Impossible.

And so, she had once devised a plan that spanned years rather than moments: to quietly build relationships with nearby Behemoths, cultivating bonds slowly and carefully, so that she could call upon them for aid if the cursed one ever moved against her openly.

She had rendered countless services to the Savage Behemoth, and in particular to the Sorcerer and the Temporal Behemoths-acts of purification involving individuals or rare resources, all without demanding any compensation. She did this solely so that, one day, she would have the right-the face-to ask for their help if desperation ever came. But fate, as always, twisted cruelly.

Who could have imagined that the Savage Behemoth would turn hostile toward her over something as singular as a Virillion Seed? And who could have predicted that the Sorcerer and the Temporal Behemoths would be locked in mutual strangulation at the very same time she herself plunged into crisis?! Now, only two beings remained who might still be able to help her...

Yet before she could even establish contact with them, the invasion of the Bright Galaxy accelerated at a terrifying pace. Nearly 25% of the galaxy fell under the occupation of the cursed Darvionʼs forces. At the same time, the Bright Galaxyʼs own army asserted control over almost 90% of the remaining territory, arresting every single member of the Pureheart family-millions upon millions of souls. Nothing was left to them except the galaxyʼs core seed itself, and a handful of planets of extreme strategic importance surrounding it.

Those planets were the ground upon which Kaylisʼs children and grandchildren still stood-the planets guarded by the Dominators and the Nexus States.

Even these last bastions were no longer safe.

Drowning in despair, the Pure Kaylis sent a message directly to the army of the cursed Darvion. She claimed that the war had erupted due to rumors surrounding the cancellation of the wedding between Serene and Damir, and declared her willingness to hasten the wedding so it would occur on the very same day, alongside the drafting of a new agreement.

The message was ignored entirely... and the messenger was arrested. He was one of Kaylisʼs own grandchildren.

A sheer cliff stood before her, the enemy pressed in from behind. There was only one thing left that Kaylis could do to buy even a sliver of time-time enough to reach any remaining supporter.

Fight.

But with what army?

With the galaxy itself.

The Pure Kaylis made a decision born of madness-one that no ruler of any galaxy had ever dared to execute before. It was a choice forged under unbearable pressure, the result of being cornered far beyond the point of retreat.

In a violent surge of madness, and driven by an overwhelming love for life itself, the Pure Kaylis turned the galaxy into her weapon.

She commanded the very spirit of the galaxy, forcing numerous occupied planets to tear themselves free from their orbits. The resulting collisions were cataclysmic, unleashing colossal explosions that shook the entire galaxy- indeed, they reverberated across half the sector.

More than 2,000 outer planets were reduced to drifting dust on that single day. Every being upon their surfaces witnessed their own apocalyptic endings with open eyes before those eyes closed forever.

Millions of the cursed Darvionʼs soldiers, along with tens of thousands of vessels, vanished alongside the shattered worlds. Hundreds of World Cataclysms were annihilated, and with them more than fifteen Nexus States who failed to escape in time.

The massive invading armada that had arrived with the ambition of conquering an entire sector-the armada that advanced proudly with the combined might of nearly 2,000 fleets-was utterly crushed by that single, devastating act. At once, the armadaʼs overall power was reduced by half, while the remaining half suffered crushing material losses and severe psychological damage. Even the Law Dominators and the seven-star Royal Soul Lords and above were not spared-planetary and lunar collisions battered them as though they were nothing more than fragile childrenʼs toys tossed into chaos.

Without hesitation, they withdrew beyond the boundaries of the galaxy. None among them dared to attempt another rapid breach. The grand dream of boasting that the cursed Darvionʼs army had subdued an entire galaxy within a mere few days was utterly shattered-and with it vanished more than half of

his forces.

As for the rest of the galaxy that had fallen under the occupation of the mercenaries of the Bright Army itself, it stepped into a new age-an age drenched in blood and relentless violence.

After the cursed Darvionʼs armada retreated to tend to its wounds, and after the morale of the mercenary army collapsed entirely-terror having taken root in their hearts when they witnessed more than 2,000 planets colliding and saw their comrades perish there-the Pure Kaylis issued decisive orders. Orion, along with all her children and grandchildren, was commanded to spread out across the galaxy. Kaylis herself did not remain behind; she went out with them, personally stepping onto the battlefield.

Law Dominators, Nexus States, and World Cataclysms surged forth from the Bright Planet and the surrounding core worlds like a pack of enraged wolves unleashed from their chains. They struck without mercy, hunting down the mercenaries, erasing their presence, and breaking open prisons to free the captives held within.

In the span of only a few days, they had purified hundreds of planets, slain hundreds of thousands of mercenaries, and destroyed hundreds of vessels that were supposedly registered as their rightful property.

And that was only the beginning.

The Nexus States and World Cataclysms among Kaylisʼs children and

grandchildren did not content themselves with mere destruction. They captured groups of mercenaries alive and forced them to instruct the liberated members of the Pureheart family in the operation of warships and combat vessels. With what functional ships remained, they launched renewed assaults against mercenary forces scattered across the rest of the galaxyʼs planets. During this brutal war against the mercenaries, several more planets were destroyed entirely-worlds that had served as mercenary strongholds and command centers. The lands of hundreds of other planets were burned or devastated so completely that they would be unfit for habitation or use for centuries, perhaps even for thousands of years to come.

The beings of Mid Sector 101 stood frozen, mouths agape, whether they were alies or enemies of Kaylis the pure, they were all watching as Kaylis put another stone on top of the foundations of an era madness before their very eyes. From a woman known for her utmost peacefulness, she transformed overnight into a figure drenched in bloodlust-a figure who annihilated more than half of the cursed oneʼs army, yet also destroyed 2,000 planets that were once her own. Planets that held living beings, planets that bore her fleets-fleets the mercenaries had surrendered to the enemy-and planets that even contained imprisoned members of the Pureheart family.

Yet, strangely enough, everyone who heard of these events in Mid Sector 101 did not linger on the sudden, overwhelming savagery. Instead, they simply raised their brows, smiled faintly, and said:

”That is how a Behemoth should be.”
