Lord of the Truth

Chapter 1995 A step Forward-1

Medium Sector 100 Planet Kraithorn

Just half a century ago, this planet had stood as one of the towering fortresses of the Twilight Spectrum Empire, a shining jewel in the crown for the Centennial Empire at that time, even though it had never been the actual capital. Every ridge, every canyon, every stretch of land was imbued with untold potential. Every handful of dust brimmed with energy, pulsing invisibly with essences so potent they could nurture nearly every type of terrestrial treasure known across the sectors. The air itself seemed thick with latent power, humming with whispers of possibilities yet unrealized.

Fifty years ago, those treasures increased by one... right before the catastrophe struck the ruling class of the Twilight Spectrum Empire. Planet Kraithorn received something beyond comprehension-a gift from the Savage Behemoth Galaxy itself.

They were given a pool... a pool forged from the blood of polar aurora foxes, infused with the immense, tangible power of a Nexus State.

Yes, foxes-plural. Entire lineages, entire bloodlines, for the Savage Behemoth had an entire family of that rare and mystical species. Not only that, but he had handed over ten vials of polar aurora fox blood, each carrying the overwhelming force of Domination Realm... ten vials from a Beast Emperor !! A gift of such magnitude that it could tip the scales of fate itself.

And all of this... as payment for a single, vital piece of information: Lord Human is the Official Sponsor of all events in Mid Sector 101.

That pool alone could have rewritten the destiny of the Twilight Spectrum Empire entirely. Those ten vials alone could unbind the eternal lock imposed upon the ruling class, shattering the invisible chains that had restrained them for decades.

A thousand years...

In just a thousand years, the Twilight Spectrum Empire could have risen to become a true millennial empire-an empire of unshakable legitimacy, ruled by a Monarch!

But fate... had other plans.

Blooosh Blooosh

At that very moment, a pool of thick, viscous blue liquid churned strangely under the vast, open sky. It bubbled like molten essence at times, froze into solid glassy patches at others, and evaporated into dense mist that soared high above the surface before collapsing back into liquid in a slow, deliberate descent. The thick, cobalt liquid resembled concentrated energy in appearance, yet any being-any creature or observer daring enough to approach-would recognize it instantly. It was blood. Unmistakably, undeniably blood.

At the center of this uncanny pool stood a massive, jagged stone, rising prominently above the liquid. Marks on its sides revealed the truth: the pool had once been far higher, almost completely engulfing the stone in a shimmering, liquid embrace. Now, it had shrunk to half its former height, half its former glory, leaving the stone exposed to the elements above.

And atop that pool, balanced upon the central rock, amidst all the restless, infinite motions of the liquid... sat the silhouette of a woman. Nine tails fanned behind her, swaying with a life of their own. She radiated calm focus, yet the air around her hummed with barely contained energy.

Renara inhaled deeply, drawing in a breath so profound it seemed to pull the very atmosphere into her lungs. The pool responded immediately, rippling violently, as if it recognized the force within her. As she exhaled, waves of undulating energy radiated outward, cascading across the surface like shockwaves in slow motion.

Her eyes, glittering with an inner brilliance, snapped open. She reached for one of the four vials beside her, each filled with thick, jelly-like blue liquid. Without hesitation, she lifted it to her lips and emptied it all in a single, deliberate gulp.

Ba-dum ”Ugh!!” Renaraʼs cry tore through the stillness. She flung the empty vial aside and clutched her chest as an unbearable surge of power coursed through her. Her radiant eyes began to emit a Savage, frenzied aura, droplets of blood seeping forth.

Not only her eyes-the orifices in her face, every gap in her skin, began to bleed. But it was no ordinary blood. It was thick, viscous, laced with a strange malevolent essence, twisting in ways that hinted at dark, ancient power.

Yet amid this scene of raw, horrifying intensity, something even more mesmerizing and terrifying unfolded:

Rumble

Renaraʼs central tail pulsed with a violent rhythm, sending shockwaves in every direction. Each pulse stirred the pool and the surrounding air, generating miniature storms of energy and wind. With every heartbeat, the tail grew slowly but unmistakably, swelling to twice the size of the others within mere minutes. The air itself seemed to vibrate with anticipation, charged by the raw force emanating from her body.

Then, silence fell.

In a single, instantaneous moment, the pool froze solid. Every particle in the air stilled, suspended mid-motion. Clouds above plummeted around the pool like bombs detonating, triggering tremors that shook the very ground.

In that suspended instant... it felt as though a strange, foreign spirit had descended upon the place, surveying the scene with quiet, intangible authority. And then... just as suddenly as it had appeared, it vanished, leaving behind only the eerie calm of a world momentarily touched by forces beyond understanding.

About an hour later-

Whoooosh

A shadow appeared in the sky, gliding gracefully from a distant horizon. It wavered slightly, twisting midair before beginning its steady, deliberate descent toward the blood-red pool below. The air around it seemed to ripple with faint currents of energy, carrying whispers of power that stirred the atmosphere. The owner of the shadow-a woman with nine long, sinuous tails-instantly furrowed her brows as she spotted something atop the central stone. ”Hmmm?” she murmured, her eyes narrowing in concern. Then, with a sudden sharpness, she opened them fully, the glow within them piercing the surrounding haze. ”My Lady!!”

Baa!

The nine-tailed woman landed with controlled force beside Renara, who appeared like a lifeless, blood-stained doll, her body limp, her breathing shallow. Without hesitation, she scooped Renara onto her lap, pressing her gently yet firmly against her body. Energy began to surge from her hands, coursing in dazzling arcs of light as it entered Renaraʼs body, filling her veins with warmth and power. ”Wing Lady! My Lady!!”

Renara remained completely unconscious, utterly unresponsive-but at least, she was alive.

Once the woman confirmed this, a heavy sigh of relief escaped her lips. Yet even as she exhaled, her sharp gaze fell upon the remaining vials beside them- only three now. A shadow of worry crossed her features, and she glanced back at Renara with a mix of sorrow and frustration. ”Again, my Lady? Do you truly wish to kill yourself?” Her voice was heavy with exasperation, but beneath it lingered a thread of deep care.

Understanding the urgency of the situation, the newcomer retrieved something from her Void Ring: a tiny, finger-sized vial glowing faintly with swirling energy. She brought it carefully to Renaraʼs lips, tilting it so the contents could flow slowly.

Gulp... gulp... gulp...

Rumble Rumble

The instant Renara swallowed the entire dose, her body erupted in waves of power that radiated outward like shockwaves, violently agitating the surface of the blood pool. Massive waves lapped against the jagged stone, sending sprays of red liquid cascading into the air. Even the woman holding her had to: squeeze her eyes shut and plant her legs firmly, bracing against the surging energy to avoid being flung backward by the force. ”Ahh!” she groaned, muscles trembling.

Within moments, Renaraʼs bloodied skin began to shimmer with a faint, ethereal light. The layers of dried blood evaporated in curling wisps of crimson mist, lifting from her eyes, her mouth, her ears, her hair, leaving her skin glowing, almost pure.

Her central tail-the largest and most swollen of the nine-reacted next. It contracted slowly, compressing back to its natural form, yet even in this return to normalcy, it radiated far more power than the other eight combined. Every pulse of energy hinted at the immense force bound within it, the embodiment of the Law of Frost itself. ”Hmmm...”

A soft, almost melodic moan escaped Renaraʼs lips. Her pained expressions melted away, replaced first by innocence, then by something resembling pure pleasure-as if the elixir she had consumed carried the taste of a paradise beyond the physical world. Waves of energy radiated from her body, distorting the air around her, sending ripples across the poolʼs surface, and igniting a low hum that resonated in the rocks themselves.

Finally, after countless fluctuations and transformations, her body stabilized. Her eyelids twitched, then lifted, revealing eyes that gleamed with newfound clarity. For a moment, she was stunned, her gaze fixing on the figure before her. ”...Soltir, what are you doing here?” ”I came to saved you from death, as it seems,” replied the nine-tailed woman, a soft, relieved smile touching her lips. She extended her hands, helping Renara sit upright with care, guiding her back into a proper seated posture. The woman named Soltirʼs brow remained furrowed as she adjusted her stance, sitting her up straight, and only after than did she spoke: ”A whole vial this time? What are you trying to prove?”
