Lord of the Truth

Chapter 1779 The Chosen Onesʼ Cooperation-2

”...I am not the main character to be capable of mastering two Master Laws at once.” Shaddad cast a long, lingering glance at the metallic tablet of the Master Creation Law, his eyes tracing the engraved lines as if they could speak to him. He let out a heavy, almost weary sigh. ”...Since Iʼve already started it, I will eventually have to finish it-someday, no matter how long it takes-so I can create at least one proper application. Otherwise, the Master would be furious. But as for the other two laws... I have absolutely no intention of touching them.” ”Man... you actually have three Master Laws, and not even a spark of curiosity to read them? How did you even obtain your Eye of Truth in the first place?!” Jabba laughed, shaking his head in disbelief.

Truly, Shaddadʼs speed of comprehension was painfully slow-agonizingly slow -but it wasnʼt impossible.

If he persisted, if he dedicated enough days, months, or even years, he could perhaps use a tiny fragment of a law every single day. Maybe he could even extract practical knowledge from it-craft something tangible from its

immense abstract power.

Thinking about it... it made sense why the Master required only one application of a Master Law every thousand years.

Did the Master really expect this to happen? Or was it all a calculated impossibility, a test of patience, endurance, and intelligence?

Jabbaʼs lips twisted into a strange, almost knowing smile as he turned his gaze to the window, watching the sunlight filter across the room.

When he thought about it more deeply, he realized: their Master had obtained all three Master Laws, mastered them, and wielded them within just a few centuries-yet he instructed his disciples to produce only one application per thousand years.

The wisdom behind this decision was precise, deliberate... and perhaps cruel. That scumbag had never had full faith in them.

”I obtained the Eye of Truth through my relentless pursuit of the Body-Strengthening System, and I have no plans to stop now.” Shaddad muttered, picking up another piece of metal to examine. His hands moved carefully, feeling the subtle weight and texture of the material. ”I need to find alternatives-better, stronger, more efficient ones-to break through World Cataclysm. Anything less would be a waste.”

Jabba studied Shaddad silently from the side, the faintest hint of curiosity and concern in his expression. After several tense seconds, he exhaled.

”Fine... fifteen years of seclusion are over, and I certainly donʼt want to return there immediately. Iʼll help you a little.... at least for now,” he said, stepping closer to stand by Shaddadʼs side. ”So... what exactly do we have here?” ”...!”

Shaddadʼs eyes brightened instantly, his expression transforming into sheer excitement and anticipation.

”In truth, I have never been closer to my goal than I am today,” he said, voice almost trembling with pride and relief. ”Centuries ago, the Master handed me a set of volumes belonging to someone titled the Second Heaven Chosen. They contained detailed instructions for a tattoo-based body-strengthening system -ideas, proposals, and solutions for the limitations inherent in that system.” ”...I studied those volumes for an exceedingly long time,” Shaddad continued, eyes narrowing in thought, ”but I never attempted to solve the problems of that tattoo system directly. No... I still consider it fundamentally flawed.” He held the metallic piece in his hand, examining it critically. ”Any system that extracts energy from the atmosphere and pours it directly into the cells, regardless of scale, is ultimately invalid in my eyes. No matter how much you push its limits, those limits remain. Always. Unmovable.”

He turned to Jabba, his gaze sharp and unyielding.

”And that is precisely why no living being could ever reach the equivalent level of physical power. The cells simply cannot expand at such an accelerated rate. It is impossible. So why would I bother solving problems like adapting the body to Laws, or restoring planetary energy... when the system itself is broken from the start?”

”Weaponization is the true path. Through weaponization, we donʼt merely dump energy into cells-we fortify the cells themselves. Instead of absorbing 100 units, they could absorb 200... 300... or more. And the cells themselves become strong and resilient, even without energy flowing inside them.”

Shaddadʼs eyes hardened as he stared straight ahead, mind racing with calculations and possibilities.

”But I did benefit from those old volumes. I began applying certain runes directly onto the weaponization materials themselves, enhancing the absorption efficiency within the cells. Runes that the Master helped me make, multiple times, without even knowing what I would ultimately use them for!”

He let out a short, helpless laugh, remembering the Masterʼs casual attitude toward the scrolls he had entrusted to Shaddad.

”...Anyway... now, instead of relying on ridiculously expensive materials to manipulate the body from within, I can work with materials that cost half as much... but even so, the total cost to break into World Cataclysm is still hundreds of millions of Pearls!”

He muttered softly, almost to himself, a thread of doubt creeping into his voice:

”I feel... thereʼs something missing. Something small, something subtle that could make the runes even more efficient, something to unlock that last bit of absorption potential...”

”Do you think a compression array that uses Pearls to generate an intense gravitational field could actually help?” Jabba asked, his tone curious yet cautious, studying Shaddadʼs reaction.

”Why would it help?!” Shaddad exclaimed, eyebrows raised, his voice a mixture of disbelief and irritation. ”How could merely compressing someone in a gravity. field improve their absorption of weaponization materials?”

”Thatʼs exactly what Iʼve done...” Jabba lifted his shoulders with a casual shrug, though his eyes gleamed with quiet confidence. ”I created an array with an incredibly high gravitational pull and inscribed multiple intricate glyphs on it. The person inside behaves almost like a black hole, able to absorb any amount of energy we pour into them. The cells expand under the immense pressure, stretching and filling with energy to the point where their body becomes a living reservoir of power.”

He tilted his head slightly, a subtle smirk on his lips. ”Of course, not everyone survives the process... the weak or unprepared cannot endure the compression. But those who do... they save themselves hundreds of years of painstaking tattoo cultivation and instantly reach a level of strength that normally takes decades to achieve.” Jabba looked directly at Shaddad, his tone firm yet impressed. ”And even though everyone says the array is ridiculously expensive, I can take someone from zero to level forty using only thirty thousand Pearls. Tell me... how many hundreds of thousands, or better yet millions, did you spend to get me to level forty?”

Shaddad let out a long, frustrated sigh and shook his head slowly. ”Millions, indeed... countless Pearls. Even so, I maintain that weaponization is still the correct path. No matter how cheap or fast your array is, true strength comes from enduring the process and mastering the body through sheer discipline.” He furrowed his brow thoughtfully before glancing toward Jabba again. ”But... I admit, this idea isnʼt entirely bad. It has merit. Perhaps it could complement our current methods.”

”Oh?” Jabba raised his eyebrows, clearly intrigued, a hint of amusement in his

voice.

”I could attempt using the array to help the body absorb the weaponization elements more efficiently...” Shaddad muttered, his voice quiet but resolute. ”Why not try it, at least once?!” His tone was tinged with a rare excitement, though it faded almost immediately as caution returned. ”Still... the practical experiments... the actual steps to implement this... they are numerous, and all theoretical work only takes us so far.”

”Whatʼs wrong with that?” Jabba asked, a mix of surprise and curiosity lacing

his words.

”The process is complicated beyond theory alone. Up to now-theoretically- Iʼve been able to cut the cost of weaponization by half thanks to my research

into the tattoo system. But I havenʼt applied it practically to anyone yet. And now that weʼve decided to integrate your array as well... the variables multiply, and I can only determine the results through hands-on testing!” Shaddadʼs jaw tightened, and his hands clenched involuntarily.

He ground his teeth audibly, frustration radiating from every movement. ”Iʼm useless when it comes to testing. I have no test subjects, and I canʼt bring myself to purchase slaves just to experiment on them against their will. And even if I had willing participants... where would I conduct these experiments? Inside my apartment?!” His voice cracked slightly, revealing just how trapped he felt by the constraints of morality and practicality. Jabbaʼs gaze softened slightly as he nodded. ”Hm. This academy does permit scientific research, correct? Speak with Lady Althera, and she will allow us to carry out whatever experiments we deem necessary. She seems fair-minded and reasonable and if she refuses, thereʼs always one of the Masterʼs empires we can turn to. As for Aro; as long as something benefits the Master, he will approve without hesitation. You only need to prepare the location and the tools, and I will handle the rest.”

Jabba patted Shaddad on the back again, a reassuring gesture that somehow eased some of the tension. ”Iʼll prepare the subjects for the experiments- fortunately, we have plenty of them.”
