Hero of Darkness

Chapter 1212: The Invincible Leader

As the magnanimity of Kahn’s Cosmic Form shone its light on the capital Naraka, those who witnessed it in front of their eyes and through broadcasts were simply gobsmacked, their heart palpating with sheer disbelief as well as fear.

Why? Because both Vildred and Jeoseung Saja’s ginormous forms were enough to break their perception of reality, and their might was already worthy of worship.

The previous Apostle of War form was only 2 kilometers tall, while Vildred was 7 Kilometers, and the Envoy of Death was 10 kilometers, making Kahn appear considerably smaller and even weaker comparatively.

Besides, their auras were also stronger and superior in many senses due to their natural characteristics as a Royal Dragon and a Deity.

But no one knew that Kahn was specifically looking forward to this subconscious comparison in their minds.

First, he deliberately revealed his strength, then made Vildred look like the bigger and stronger force. Afterward, he used a literal deity to seize control of the Abyss Empire and made all the other factions pledge loyalty to him.

But people were bound to look down upon Kahn even if Vildred and Jeoseung Saja had sided with him and given their blessings. To most, they would always feel stronger than Kahn.

And other than warning the hidden enemies, Kahn also needed to create another spectacle that would remind everyone that, regardless of how strong allies appear... he was their Supreme Leader whose power and authority must never be questioned.

He didn’t need to win their heart or even admiration. No, he needed their acknowledgment and obedience.

A form of respect that would be detrimental to his future reign, even if it stemmed from fear.

And thus... Kahn intentionally revealed his strongest form, which made him appear no different than a god.

******************

”Is this the power of a God?” asked Calavanius, his remaining flesh shivering in both bewilderment and concern.

To the entire Abyss Empire, Kahn’s gigantic figure in the sky looked no different than a god descending from the heavens.

And finally, the metaphorical god looked below.

Gasp!

As Kahn looked down on the capital, his head almost covered the sky above the headquarters of the Cult of Darkborne while all the people below gazed at his face, carrying fragments of different planets and galaxies within his body.

”Is that a different world within the Cult Leader’s face?” asked one of the members of the Divine Cadre of the Darkborne.

”Look on the left corner of his nose... that’s definitely a star exploding!” said one of the Chapter masters in dark green with a scaly reptilian cape behind his massive armor.

”That... that’s an entire universe right below his left eye!” spoke Calavanius with shock.

Not only they, but the normal people watching the broadcasts were also witnessing this depth in Kahn’s body.

From afar, his visage was entirely a mix of cosmic aether with a dark blue aura, but after looking closely, they saw how the Hero of Darkness was not just any normal summoned hero.

Calavanius then suddenly spoke...

”This is it!! This is the power I was talking about when the Cult Leader first showed up.

I told you it wasn’t just the Darkness element but another unfathomable power that transcends our understanding!” spoke the leader of the Magus Secundus.

Among the authorities on magic and technology in the entire Abyss Empire, the person called Calavanius would easily be in the top 3 figures with far extensive knowledge and understanding of all these elements of reality and nature.

At first, he only noticed small details, but after seeing Kahn’s true form... his previous statement indeed turned out to be a fact.

”Tell me I’m dreaming. This is even worse than a nightmare.” said the 7th prince with an incredulous countenance.

They were losing on all fronts ever since they came to witness this ceremony personally.

Before, they thought they could display their power and authority in front of the empire by attending the ceremony and posing an invisible threat to the Hero of Darkness during their secret meeting in the imperial palace.

But after coming here... all they received were shocks after shocks, revelations after revelations that broke will and threw all their previous plans under the lake.

In the absence of the Emperor, who was in a coma, this was an opportunity to display their authority as the representatives of their faction and all the people that served them.

However, the grand display of strength by the Hero of Darkness was so obscenely overwhelming that all of them were now just reduced to random background characters.

SNAP!!

”Let me show you a bit of my true power.” spoke Kahn as he snapped his fingers.

Soon, thousands of flaming meteors, each up to 50 meters wide, fell from the skies, filled with multiple universes and realities.

All the saints could tell that these were actual meteors and not part of some illusion.

In mere moments, they appeared only a kilometer above the ground level, almost alerting all the saints and forcing them to use their powers to protect the people.

This kind of skill was enough to decimate the entire headquarters if they did not act in time.

SNAP!

However, before they could act... the flaming meteors instantly turned into soft clouds, instantly spreading through all the attendees, gently covering their bodies and disappearing into thin air.

Snap!

Kahn snapped his fingers, and a surge of millions of lightning bolts struck from the sky, their arrival akin to a natural disaster that would simply raze down the entire Naraka.

Snap!

And yet, before the lightning bolts could touch the ground, they instantly turned into warm water, floating and caressing their bodies gently like a spectacle of nature.

Many touched that water just to see if it indeed was real... and as they felt the wetness, everyone was certain that everything they witnessed was real without a doubt.

In a couple of moments, the snapping continued for the next few minutes, Kahn kept showing them different elements of nature and turned them from destructive attacks and skills into non-lethal constructs, objects, or just simple air.

The variations he displayed simply meant one thing...

”As you can see... when I use my real power, I can basically defy the laws of nature and reality. In my true form...” spoke Kahn with a stern and domineering tone...

”I am a being akin to a God.”
