Chapter 752: Eclipse

GLOBAL AWAKENED NEWS: BREAKING

ECLIPSE: KAIDEN GREY REGISTERS NEW GUILD WITH VESPERA ASHBORN AS REGENT

In a development that has sent shockwaves through the guild landscape, Kaiden Grey - now confirmed as son of Vespera Ashborn and heir to the Ashborn lineage - has officially registered a new guild under the name ”Eclipse.”

The registration was filed in the early hours of the morning through formal Association channels. Listed as Guild Leader is Kaiden Grey himself. Vespera Ashborn, formerly co-leader of New Dawn alongside estranged husband Magnus Morvane, is listed as Guild Regent, a title that grants her full operational authority over guild affairs.

Sources close to the registration process indicate that the guild’s founding roster already includes dozens of former New Dawn personnel who departed the guild overnight following Vespera Ashborn’s exit. These individuals span multiple departments: legal counsel, strategic operations, logistics, combat personnel, and intelligence. The exact number of defectors has not been confirmed, but internal sources describe the departures as ”significant enough to compromise several active New Dawn operations.”

Eclipse’s formation comes just hours after last night’s explosive livestream, during which Magnus Morvane’s personal and professional conduct was laid bare by Natasha Volkov, revealed to be a former mistress of the guild leader. The stream also featured Kaiden Grey publicly identifying himself as an Ashborn child for the first time.

NOVA CIRCUIT DISSOLVED

In a related development, Nova Circuit, the guild led by B-tier Arcane Archer, Tessa Verain, has officially dissolved. All members are rumored to have been offered the choice to join Eclipse as full members or pursue other avenues, their contracts voided. No reports have surfaced of anyone electing to go the second route. Tessa herself is listed among Eclipse’s founding members.

Nova Circuit had long been known as the struggling, low-tier guild that was first to make a deal with Kaiden’s mercenary group.

RUNEWOVEN RESTRUCTURED AS SUBSIDIARY

Runewoven, the guild under whose banner Kaiden Grey has been competing, will continue to operate under its existing name but has been formally restructured as a subsidiary of Eclipse. Talia Runewoven, Runewoven’s guild leader, will retain command of the guild’s day-to-day affairs, with a renewed focus on equipment forging, weapon crafting, and material procurement.

Sources familiar with the arrangement describe Runewoven’s new role as Eclipse’s ”smithing and equipment arm,” a designation that preserves the guild’s identity and its founder’s legacy while integrating it into Eclipse’s broader structure.

WHAT THIS MEANS

Kaiden Grey enters the guild landscape as the head of a pre-assembled operation staffed by veteran professionals who defected from one of the three largest guilds in the country. With Vespera Ashborn at the helm as Regent, Eclipse possesses institutional knowledge, financial resources, and combat personnel that most guilds cannot dream of achieving.

For New Dawn, the losses are twofold. The departure of key personnel weakens internal operations at a time when the guild is already under Association investigation. The establishment of a rival guild led by the Ashborn heir and managed by the Ashborn matriarch transforms what was a family dispute into a direct competitive threat.

The Association has not yet commented on how Eclipse’s registration may affect the ongoing competition standings, though analysts expect a formal ruling soon.

More details to follow as they develop.

”Where do I even begin.

Let me take you back to last week. Seven days ago, while you people were fantasizing about Vespera Ashborn being Kaiden’s secret woman (how do you feel about that now, you freaks?) I sat at this desk and wrote a post titled ’Kaiden Grey is an Ashborn.’ I spent four hours compiling evidence. I cross-referenced timelines, pulled facial comparison screenshots, analyzed mana signatures, and presented what I believed to be an airtight circumstantial case that the most talked-about rookie in the world was secretly the son of the two most powerful people in American guild politics.

The response was illuminating.

Sir_This_Is_A_Wendys called me ’genuinely unhinged.’ SomeoneStoleMyGoat said someone should take away my red string board. I received fourteen direct messages calling me a ’retard,’ three telling me to go touch grass, and one asking if my mom was hot and available. My post sat at two hundred upvotes and fourteen hundred comments, most of which were variations of ’this man is a lunatic.’

That post now has 847,000 likes. Eight hundred and forty-seven thousand. People who have never visited a forum in their lives are creating accounts specifically to upvote it. News outlets are embedding it in their articles. Someone must be working on a T-shirt with my username on it. I have not given them permission and I want royalties. Also, I will be purchasing one.

Sir_This_Is_A_Wendys, if you’re reading this, your comment calling my post ’genuinely unhinged’ also went viral and you are welcome.

On a personal note, my ex-wife has finally replied to me for the first time in two years. Her response reads: ’fuck off loser.’ I choose to interpret this as acknowledgment of my accomplishments.

Now then.

Eclipse.

The name has been the subject of intense debate since the announcement dropped, and most of you are asking the wrong question. The popular question is ’why Eclipse? Why not something Sin-related?’ And it’s a fair question on the surface. Kaiden Ashborn’s awakened identity is built on the Deadly Sins. His stances are Sin-based. His group is called Valhalla’s Sinners. Every piece of his brand points toward sin iconography. Eclipse has nothing to do with any of that.

So why pick a name that breaks the pattern?

The obvious layer is Vespera. Shadow swallowing light. An eclipse is literally what happens when darkness passes in front of the sun. Vespera Ashborn is the Shadow Monarch. Her son naming his guild after the astronomical event her power represents is an Ashborn statement, plain and simple. It says ’I am my mother’s son and I want you to know it.’

That’s true. But it’s not the real reason. Here’s the real reason.

Say the name out loud. Then say ’New Dawn’ out loud.

Eclipse.

New Dawn.

Eclipsing New Dawn.

Eclipsing Dawn for short.

The guild’s name is a complete sentence with the word ’New’ removed. It doesn’t reference sin because it isn’t about sin. It’s about New Dawn. It’s about the guild his father built and his mother just gutted. The Ashborn heir registered a guild whose name reads as a declaration that he will surpass it, overshadow it, and leave it in the dark.

This isn’t branding. This is a man telling his father, in one word, that everything Magnus built is about to be swallowed whole.

I need to go lie down.”

”I am not going to apologize because I maintain that your original post WAS unhinged. You just happened to be right. These are not mutually exclusive.”

ManaBroke (verified awakened-researcher):

”The mana signature observation was always the strongest point in his original analysis. Credit where it’s due: the man identified a familial mana resonance pattern from stream footage alone. That’s genuinely impressive analytical work, tinfoil hat or not.”

DungeonDropout:

”’Eclipsing Dawn’ is the hardest guild name I’ve ever heard and it isn’t even the official name.”

RatJuror:

”New Dawn, since reading this post, has been removed from my favorites list. Eclipse has been added. I don’t even know what they do yet but I am already a fan.”

SomeoneStoleMyGoat:

”I would like to formally retract my red string board comment. Your string board was correct and I am a lesser man for doubting it. Please accept this award.”

MyTherapistQuit:

”You’re still a loser who should touch grass, though.”
