Chapter 218: New Sin

She listed them off:

”Cosplay Dungeon Delve” – Girls dress as characters chosen by fans and do mock fights or mini-games with Kaiden.

”You Write It, We Do It” – Fan-scripted skits performed live, lightly improvised. Chaotic. Hilarious. Addictive.

”Date Night Roulette” – RNG chooses a setting. Fans vote who Kaiden goes on a ”date” with in that scene.

The Chairman groaned.

”I asked for surveillance,” he said. ”What I got was an immersive psy-op.”

Grace smiled at her boss’s misery as easily as she breathed. After all, it was he who sent her to watch them. ”A very profitable one at that, if I’m reading this donation graph correctly. They’re just sitting at the bunker we provided for them free of charge, using the equipment we send them free of charge, and making more bank than some of our best agents.”

”I don’t care about their donations,” the Chairman muttered. ”I care about what comes after. What they’re building toward.”

He stared once more at Kaiden’s face, paused now mid-wink toward the camera.

”We’re not watching an entertainer,” he said. ”We’re watching the rise of something we’d never seen before. This is not a cult he’s building...”

Grace arched a brow. ”Charismatic leader, devoted followers, overwhelming trust, emotional rituals, and exclusive tiers of enlightenment? What’s that if not a cult?”

”I fear we don’t have a proper term for it, for no one has ever done what Kaiden plans to achieve. It doesn’t exist yet. That’s what my instincts are telling me.”

The Chairman stood.

”Prep another black box team. Keep the observers in place. But whatever’s coming next... I want to know before it happens.”

But no amount of surveillance, no level of bureaucratic foresight, and no elite observer detail could have prepared the Chairman for what came next.

Because some evolutions can’t be tracked in real-time.

They just erupt, materializing from thin air, from one moment to the next.

...

Back at the Valhalla Bunker...

Kaiden blinked as a sudden DING echoed in his mind.

[Quest Completed – Fangirl Bottleneck]

[Rewards:]

+2 Upgrade Points

System Unlock: [Fangirl Management Interface]

He exhaled, long and low.

The girls all turned toward him, sensing something had shifted in the air. Their expressions ranged from cautious to curious. Kaiden ignored them for now and focused on the glowing new prompt that hovered in his vision.

[Fangirl Management Interface]

The menu unspooled like a holographic dashboard, fully immersive and... a little overwhelming.

Then something popped.

A single name was already loaded. Fully scanned. Fully locked.

A glowing golden highlight around it, as if it had already been engraved in divine steel:

#1 Core Fangirl Identified

Name: Alice Ashborn

Status: Terminal Level Fangirl

Priority Note:

Would burn the world to embers before letting you suffer. Would watch it freeze if it meant keeping your smile alive.

Recommended Classification: Obsession-Class Entity. Proceed with tactical delicacy.

Kaiden stared at the message.

He didn’t blink.

He didn’t move.

Then, after a long pause... he rubbed his temples.

”Goddamn it.”

He could already see the teary-eyed expression. The mighty pout. The trembling hands twisting into her hoodie sleeve as she asked him why he didn’t call more. Or why he didn’t let her join the stream team. Or worse, why she wasn’t allowed to ’cull the competition.’

He exhaled slowly.

’I’ll have to have a talk with her soon...’

But he didn’t move.

Didn’t open a private line.

Didn’t draft a message.

Instead, he closed the interface and mentally hit snooze.

He was a man blessed with great strength, a firm will, and the affection of goddess-tier women...

But when it came to his little sister?

He was weak.

Painfully, pathetically weak.

’Time heals everything... right?’ he muttered inwardly.

Time, did in fact, not heal everything.

But the Paragon of Sin was more than happy to live in his little bubble for now, leaning back against the couch cushion as Luna snuggled next to him with a sleepy smile.

Just then, a second ding sounded in his mind. This one directly affected all his Valkyries as well.

[Ding!]

[Ding!]

The sound wasn’t just in Kaiden’s mind.

It reverberated through the brains of three more.

The trio of girls stirred instantly.

Luna jolted upright from her half-snuggling nap, blinking twice before her gaze shot to Kaiden.

Nyx whipped her head from her reclined position, her pink hair fanning as she sat up fast.

Aria stopped mid-sip from her smoothie, her entire posture freezing before she gently set the drink aside.

They didn’t need to ask.

They felt it.

They knew it.

Something had just shifted.

Not a level-up. Not a typical stat increase. Not even a quest reward.

No. This was something bigger. Systemic.

A system-wide evolution that echoed through their bond.

They all looked at Kaiden at once.

Kaiden watched as all three of them lit up.

He wasn’t sure if it was their screens or the unmistakable joy that surged across their faces.

They weren’t just excited.

They were straight-up buzzing.

The System had validated them. Rewarded them. Strengthened them because of what they built together.

And Kaiden?

He finally cracked a grin himself as he observed the words before him.

[New Sin Unlocked!]

Sin: [ ??? ]

They’d done it.

They’d earned the damn breakthrough.

And now that they finally had the power-up they’d been grinding for...

It was time to return to the dungeons.

Leveling season... was back, stronger than ever.
