Chapter 188: Mad Scientist vs Serene Fox

Author: There was a miscalculation in the last Chapter that none of you hopeless gooners pointed out. Kaiden got 12,970 Chronos from membership, which was said to be 12.9 mill USD, when it should be 1.29 mill.

I’m staring at you people with nothing but judgment in my eyes.

...

”Therefore,” Kaiden declared, his voice deepening, resonating with a power that cut through the remaining chat protests and hushed millions into stunned silence, ”to solve this horrible problem, we’re going to auction questions off now.”

As the chat once again went wild with enraged comments, Kaiden slowly withdrew from Bastet’s mouth. The disengagement of his cock from the clutches of her grippy throat made a wet, *plop!* sound, and a glistening trail of her saliva stretched from his member as it pulled free, leaving her panting, golden eyes fixed on his retreating length with profound sorrow.

Ignoring her mournful gaze for a moment, Kaiden reached out. He placed his thumb into her mouth, gripping onto her tongue, and pulled it out.

”My, my...” he mused aloud, examining the appendage. ”No wonder I finished so hard and so quickly. I felt something was weird before, but didn’t feel like stopping to check what was going on... Your tongue has those... lingual papillae, doesn’t it? That rough, feline texture.”

He tilted his head as a thoughtful frown creased his brow. ”I don’t recall feeling that back in the dungeon. You were more of a... well, a real feline monster back then.”

While he mused, Bastet’s gaze never left his member. There was a clear, desperate longing in her eyes. Sensing her intense desire, Kaiden released her tongue and, with a subtle smirk, pushed back into her damp, eagerly waiting mouth.

As the second round of suckling began, Kaiden refocused on the chat. ”So, do we have any bidders for the first question? Let’s start at a modest 50 Chronos,”

- DungeonDaddy77: WHAT NONSENSE IS THAT?! THAT’S $5,000 ON TOP OF THE $1,000 MEMBERSHIP WE ALREADY PAID!

The poor man didn’t even have time to work himself into a proper tantrum. Because a new message appeared in the chat, silencing him instantly.

- Dr. Elias Roht: 60 Chronos. For science!

- Yunohana Tsukikage: 1000.

That was all the Japanese woman had said. No exclamation. No elaboration. Just a bid.

And for Dr. Roht, that was like waving a red flag in front of a chemically unstable bull.

- Dr. Elias Roht: The fucking porcelain-faced kitsune whore Yunohana thinks she can beat me at data acquisition?! This stream is the missing puzzle piece my research requires! I must understand the mating behavior in the presence of transcendent magical stimuli!

- Dr. Lena (Assistant): Professor! You know we have a budget! The Ethics Board is still watching us due to last month’s unfortunate debacle! You can’t throw the entire departmental fund at this stream!

- Dr. Elias Roht: Silence! This is history! The dawn of the age... of Symbiotic Monster Romance Evolution!

- Dr. Elias Roht: 1001 Chronos!

- Yunohana Tsukikage: 1500.

- Dr. Elias Roht: You think you can outbid me with the cash you earned from your moon priestess cosplay OnlyFans income?!

- Dr. Lena Roht: D-doctor... Lady Yunohana is a Paragon of Virtue... Please refrain from dragging the image of such an important ally of the United States down with baseless rumors!

- Dr. Elias Roht: Shut up, Lena! 1501 Chronos!

- Yunohana Tsukikage: 2000.

- Dr. Elias Roht: STUPID CUNT! 50000 CHRONOS! I’LL MORTGAGE THE ARCHWING LAB IF I HAVE TO! I’LL SELL THE ALIEN FOSSILS! I’LL EVEN-

Then a new, blaringly official message popped into the chat, bright red and framed with bureaucratic fury.

- United Ethics Oversight Board: Notice: Dr. Elias Roht has been temporarily stripped of all funding and purchasing privileges due to an ongoing investigation into gross fiscal misconduct.

Another message appeared immediately after:

- United Ethics Oversight Board: ”We warned you, Elias.” – Chairwoman Elara, via recorded statement.

There was a long pause in the chat.

Then...

- Dr. Elias Roht: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

🎉 System Notification: Question 1 has been purchased by Yunohana Tsukikage for 2000 Chronos. Awaiting her submission...

Kaiden smiled gently. ”Lady Yunohana, I offer my sincerest congratulations. Please voice your question.”

- Yunohana Tsukikage: My name is Yunohana Tsukikage of the Shogunate Circle.

Her words of introduction immediately slowed the flood of emotes and spam. Her mere presence commanded respect.

- Yunohana Tsukikage: Our Circle has long studied the kami, both those revered in the modern era and those whom history has chosen to forget. It is our belief that you, Kaiden Grey, may, in truth, be touched by one such ancient power. Your rise, unorthodox path, and the behavior of monsters around you all formed a pattern eerily familiar to certain faded scriptures.

Even Bastet, mid-purring worship, paused to blink and tilt her head in intrigue.

- Yunohana Tsukikage: Therefore, my question is thus: What do you believe your unique ability to tame, subdue, or even inspire monsterkind stems from, and, perhaps, do you feel there is something older, deeper, guiding your actions? Perhaps, a will that is not entirely your own?

The chat went dead silent. Even some of the more immature viewers dropped their emotes.

The question felt laced with something dangerous beneath the surface.

And Kaiden knew that even if Yunohana spoke with the poise of a noblewoman sipping tea on a koi pond balcony, this wasn’t just curiosity.

Kaiden reclined in the steaming water. He let Bastet work, her noisy suckling becoming an ambient sound of the stream rather than the main show.

”I appreciate your candor, Lady Yunohana. Your words—and your insight—deserve nothing less than my truth.”

His voice was steady and confident, but also laced with a respect that wasn’t feigned. Even he knew how unique and powerful this woman was. The last thing he wanted was to have her become hostile for a reckless comment taken the wrong way.

”I am not possessed. There’s no ancient spirit whispering in my ear. No old god tugging on my leash. I am... myself. Just Kaiden Grey, a newly awakened combatant, nothing more, nothing less.”

He paused, gently running a hand through Bastet’s black locks of hair.

”I’ve only ever been guided by one thing and one thing only: the desire to live the best life I can. For me... and for the people I love. That’s all I truly care about. Everything else is but a distraction.”

At that statement of his, all three of his Valkyries beamed at him with gorgeous smiles.

”As for my... talent with monsters,” he said, lips quirking into a faint smile, ”I’m afraid I’ll have to disappoint. I don’t fully understand it either.”

He turned his gaze to the ceiling, eyes distant.

”The moment I was about to kill Bastet back in the dungeon, my axe was already raised. I was going to end her, receive the XP for the boss kill, and secure the loot drop. But something stopped me. Not a voice. Not a god. Just... a sudden, inexplicable ’knowing.’”

His brows furrowed.

”I somehow knew that I could make her mine instead. That ending her would’ve been a waste.”

Once done with his response, he sighed solemnly.

”I don’t wish to disappoint you, Lady Yunohana. So if you’d like to ask a second question, I’ll-”

- Yunohana Tsukikage: There is no need. I am satisfied with the answer. You’ve given me more clarity than you may realize. Until we meet again, Kaiden Grey. May the path ahead of you remain yours alone.

She signed off.

Kaiden watched her name fade from the chat list.

Then he glanced down.

Bastet was still worshipping his erect member, moaning happily with his taste on her tongue.

”So. Who’s next?”
