Demonic Po*nstar System

Chapter 16: Life-Changing Decision

[New skill unlocked. D-tier: Immune Cock]

[Immune Cock: The hostʼs male member is immune to all sorts of sexually transmitted illnesses, diseases, debuffs, ailments, etc.]

ʼDamn. Another sex-related one. I was hoping for a Gravity Manipulation skill or something... One can dream.ʼ He mightʼve grumbled a bit, but it was still a good skill to have. Kaiden wasnʼt keen on getting STDs just because the medical staff didnʼt do their job properly.

ʼThough the wording does make it sound to be a bit more nuanced than what initially meets the eye. Maybe with this, I could bed a poisonous naga monster lady or something. I donʼt know why I would want to do such a thing, but I sincerely believe that I could. After all, while me getting my dick evaporated by her poisonous folds wouldnʼt be a sexual illness, poison is still a form of debuff, so it should be negated by the skill.ʼ Kaiden mused inwardly.

He debated about using his upgrade point on his D-tier skill but ended up dismissing such thoughts. He didnʼt know how hard acquiring more such points was.

Now came the final reward.

[The Pornstar System supports two paths that both lead to supreme stardom. The host must choose one.]

[First Path: Brightest Star.]

[Brightest Star: The host will be rewarded for the three Stats (Views, Fangirls, Income) above all else. He will receive quests that lead him toward landing bigger roles, making acquaintances with important people, bolstering his online image, etc. By the end of the road, the host will be the most famous person in the world, bar none. Even religious idols will be secondary to the hostʼs fame.]

[Second Path: Mine And Mine Alone.]

[Mine And Mine Alone: The host rejects the sentiment ʼsharing is caring.ʼ He doesnʼt want the women he co-stars with to work with other male actors. The system will create a ʼValkyrieʼ Sub-System, allowing the host to assign selected women he starred with. His Valkyries will gain supernatural abilities, and the hostʼs quests will include ensuring their success as well as his own. Valkyries cannot engage in sexual relationships with men other than the host. The host can remove Valkyries from his harem, stripping them of their powers. Valkyries must be adult, non-awakened women.]

”Damn...” was all Kaiden could utter for a good few minutes.

ʼSo if I understand it right, the first path is one of pure hedonism, while the second will grant me a harem of hot girls who I will elevate from being ordinary, powerless commoners to something akin to awakeners... Also, I canʼt help but wonder what the ʼValkyries cannot engage in sexual relationships with men other than the hostʼ means exactly. Will the guyʼs shaft fall off if he tries to put it in, or what? Sounds a bit scary, to be honest...ʼ

Although both sides had positives, he had to go with the second. Kaiden wasnʼt a hopeless hedonist, and having a harem of supernatural babes was right up his alley. He selected it with his mind.

[Second Path: Mine And Mine Alone selected. The Pornstar System has been altered accordingly.]

He suddenly shot out of his seat with a shocked jolt. He was straight-up hyperventilating.

”Iʼm an awakened?! Since when?! Also, what the hell is that class?! Itʼs gotta be useless like the gardener girlʼs class who has the bubbly butt. Damn!”

The tier of a class wasnʼt displayed by the systemic interface. However, the Awakened Association had artifacts that could measure the potential of a class, also known as its tier.

”Shut up, nerd! Iʼm about to win my promos to gold!” David yelled from the dorm room next door.

Yes, his neighbor was still with Becky and liked to arrogantly remind Kaiden that he was doing better both academically as well as in their private lives.

Kaiden couldnʼt give a flying fuck about what David wanted right now—he never did—though he did manage to calm down a bit. ”I will have to register myself at the Awakened Association... Shit... My family will clown on me more than if I were to remain a commoner. What is this class?! Pornstar... Iʼve never heard of it before.”

Classes were not unique in the sense that multiple people could share the same class, though A-tiers and above were unique in the sense that only a single person possessed them.

As for the Awakened Association, it was the organization that dealt with anything related to the supernatural side of the world brought upon humanity by the arrival of the mana apocalypse in the United States of America. The association was a subsidiary of the government. They administered awakeners, helped maintain dungeon gates, acted in case of dungeon breaks, served as the middlemen between hostile guilds to retain peace, etc.

Each awakened was legally required to register in the association within a week of their awakening, or they would become criminals, which now meant that Kaiden was also forced to register himself.

The reason why Kaiden was so devastated by his newly awakened class despite dreaming of having one was that it was a civilian class. Classes could be leveled up through two methods: killing humans and killing monsters.

One didnʼt gain levels from doing well in their civilian class, such as the F-tier Gardener girl with the bubbly butt was likely still level 1 and would remain so until she grabbed a spear and threw herself into a dungeon crawling with mighty monsters or killed other awakened humans. Naturally, in such a scenario, she would be nothing more than a useless weakling, a glorified commoner.

Strong civilian classes, like the aforementioned B-tier Blacksmith, would be important enough for prominent guilds to not only fight over having such a person in their ranks but also to go out of their way to create escort squads whose sole purpose was to spoonfeed XP to the smith while ensuring their safety.

Naturally, no one in their right mind would do this for a Pornstar.

Kaiden braced himself mentally to check the classʼs details. He expected the absolute worst.
