Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 660: Chapter 285: Witch of the Water Spirit (Part 2)

The Witch struggled to support this land with all her might, summoning the Power of Nature with her Scepter.

But as gales and storms swept in, she clearly felt her strength gradually ebbing away, while the Black Mages showed no intention of sparing her.

”Come on! We must end this!” the Long-haired Mage roared, unable to tolerate those who disrupted their evil plan.

Meanwhile, the lakes on the island began to churn. Under the influence of countless creatures’ turbulence and the aftermath of battle, these lakes roared like an angry ocean, tearing the Dark Forces apart.

Yet, this struggle only brought more death and despair—a young Water Spirit tried to rescue an injured companion, only to be knocked down by a giant shadow.

In its desperate and wrenching cry, most of the creatures on the island fell into eternal silence.

”No one can stop us!” the Gaunt Mage said coldly.

He watched as the island in front of him turned to ash, and everything that was once full of life and vigor now lay in ruins.

Their hearts grew colder and more arrogant, hungering for endless power as if about to engulf the entire land.

”The Sacrifice is about to begin!”

In the end, countless lives were ruthlessly extinguished, and all the beauty and purity the island had carried dissolved into nothingness.

After this slaughter, a desolate mess remained, and the once lush and vibrant island was now a blood-stained, silent wasteland.

The Witch was already exhausted; she gazed at the shattered surroundings, overwhelmed by helplessness and despair.

”Why... why be so cruel?” she murmured to herself, but there was no response.

Before that bloody and tragic scene, she knew she could no longer stop any of it, silently praying that the lost lives could find peace.

Thus, under the black curtain of night, this island faded into obscurity amidst slaughter and despair, unable to ever regain its former glory.

The night sky was filled with dense clouds; a chilling wind howled, as if foretelling some ominous fate from the impending Sacrificial Ritual.

Four Black Mages stood at the center of the shattered altar, their faces made more sinister by the flickering candlelight.

The Gaunt Mage raised his Magic Staff high, chanting ancient and forbidden Spells in a low voice.

”The Sacrifice begins!”

His voice echoed across the empty island, like the toll of a heavy and desperate bell.

With the recitation of the Spell, blazing Flames erupted around the altar, the flames reflecting ominous hues of black and red.

The four Black Mages gathered their strength together, strands of Dark Energy winding like threads around the altar, completely enveloping it.

Behind them, the captured island creatures for the Sacrifice struggled helplessly, firmly bound to the ground. They were the victims of this ritual—innocent and tragic.

”Open the Gate of Hell, let the Demon descend!” the Long-haired Mage bellowed, his eyes shining with fervor and desire.

They believed that once they successfully summoned the Demon sleeping in the Abyss, they would gain unparalleled power and immortality.

As the Spell deepened, the air on the island began to tremble violently.

A sharp, low whine emanated from underground, like the moan of ancient creatures awakening.

The Earth began to crack, faint yet terrifying red light seeped through the fissures, a sinister premonition from the depths of Hell.

”Keep going! Don’t stop!”

The Burly Mage’s face grew more manic; he pushed forward with the Spell forcefully, injecting his Life Force into it to accelerate the ritual’s progress.

However, as the Sacrifice proceeded, surrounding creatures frantically struggling seemed to sense something; they screamed and shouted with their last ounce of strength, but their voices were utterly drowned by the gale.

In front of all this, they appeared so small and desperate.

Right then, an intense feeling of unease suddenly emerged, and the Guardians of the island tried their utmost to resist this evil power.

The Water Spirit emerged from the lake, rushing towards the Black Mages like a giant wave.

”You cannot open that gate, we will stop you!”

Yet, faced with absolute powerful Dark Magic, these Protectors appeared even more helpless.

A bolt of lightning tore through the night sky, striking the small creatures fiercely counterattacking once again, countless Water Spirits dissipated as foam in the wind.

After enduring torment, they wilted tragically, leaving only faint remnants floating on the lake surface.

And now, the island not far away already covered in blood and remnants seemed to have become a giant slaughterhouse, devoid of former tranquility and peace.

”Hurry! The final step!”

The Gaunt Mage’s expression was dazed yet filled with excitement, his heart surging with satisfaction at the imminent realization of his desire.

”Our power will be sublimated at this moment!”

Just as they prepared to complete the final line of the Spell, the Earth trembled more violently, and the sound from underground grew clearer—fierce as a roar, irresistible.

In that instant, everything around them began to collapse and deform, and what was about to open was a path of no return, a gate leading to destruction and chaos!

Ultimately, in their increasing madness and frenzy, a massive fissure suddenly appeared under their feet, the red light gushed out of the crack like a tide, surging towards the sky.

Confronted with this incredible yet terrifying sight, they realized they were summoning an uncontrollable, destructive existence.

When a scorching, crimson door completely opened, countless howls echoed across the island like thunder, turning all that was ever good into nothingness!

At this moment, there were no more Protectors on the island, nor any life that could escape the calamity.

But just as the Gate of Hell was about to fully open, suddenly a beam of light pierced the night sky, followed by a figure slowly stepping out of the light pillar.

David’s figure appeared in mid-air, frowning at the ritual below.

Suddenly, he activated the Sacrificial Mark within him, the mark radiating dazzling and warm light, starkly contrasting with the increasingly dense Dark Magic around.

”Stop the sacrificial ritual,” David murmured.

A golden light instantly released from above, shooting straight towards the four Black Mages like a towering flame.

Surrounded by thick evil aura, they instantly felt a powerful threat and retreated in terror.

”Who are you? How dare you interfere with our ritual?”

The Long-haired Mage roared, but in David’s presence, he sensed an unprecedented pressure.

They once thought they controlled everything, but now realized they were in danger.

”How dare you open the Gate of Hell, Black Mages truly are pests of this world,” David sneered.

As his Spell began to circulate, the Sacrificial Mark gradually grew scorching, causing the surrounding space to warp.

Strange and beautiful Runes appeared in the air, they gathered like streams and completely enveloped the altar.

The Black Mages tried to resist with Evil Magic, but found their strength being gradually absorbed.

Meanwhile, the trapped small creatures also felt a trace of hope; they quietly stopped their struggle, turning their gaze towards the suddenly appeared figure.

”I will reverse it all, make you pay for your sins!” David concentrated, releasing the power within the Sacrificial Mark.

A strong and sacred Energy surged towards the four Black Mages like a tide, enveloping them.

This force seemed like an adjudication, turning all evil and despair to ashes.

The four Black Mages looked around in terror at what was happening, realizing they could no longer control the situation.

The figure that suddenly appeared before them could, in an instant, master the ritual they meticulously arranged, like a commanding Divine Spirit ruling over all.
