Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 201: Livestreaming to Say Iʼm Safe

”My goodness, there are actually so many people online this early in the morning?”

Xiao He ordered another bowl of congee and was quite astonished to see the online viewer count skyrocketing.

Oh no, did that mean he had been doing an eating broadcast all this time?

Xiao He quickly spent one second reviewing his eating behavior from earlier—

Well, although he was indeed quite hungry and ate the noodles extremely fast, he was certain he hadnʼt made any weird expressions.

Thatʼs good.

Xiao He breathed a sigh of relief.

Having reached this point in his career, he still needed to maintain some idol dignity.

[Hahaha, Brother Xiao, how long has it been since you last ate? I didnʼt dare send bullet comments earlier, afraid youʼd starve to death right there in my phone.]

[Brother Xiao, donʼt worry, you were still handsome while eating noodles.]
[What a pity, I thought Iʼd get to see Hannibal Lecter-style elegant noodle eating.]

[Haha, donʼt make things difficult for Brother Xiao. He was probably busy all day yesterday and didnʼt eat much. Being able to finish a bowl of noodles in three bites is already very elegant. If you want to see his Hannibal Lecter-style eating next time, schedule it for another time.]

Xiao He: ”What Hannibal Lecter! What nonsense, what nonsense!”

He was just eating noodles normally! How did they drag that into the conversation!

Was he that kind of person? Pfft, did he have such dark tastes?

Xiao He was truly impressed by this generation of netizens.

”I havenʼt eaten anything since yesterday noon until now,” Xiao He said while blowing on the steaming hot congee in front of him. ”There were quite a lot of things happening yesterday, but itʼs better now. I finally got to eat. I was just too hungry earlier and didnʼt greet everyone first, Iʼm very sorry—”

He thought for a moment, then poked at his phone: ”How about I send everyone a lucky bag? It seems like other streamers like to do this? But how do you do it?”

Xiao He had always had backstage help managing his previous livestreams, so having to handle things himself now was really making him a bit flustered.

But fortunately, with a bit more research, he figured these things out. Soon, Xiao He sent everyone a big lucky bag.

[Yay! The early bird gets the worm! Iʼm definitely getting Brother Xiaoʼs lucky bag!]

[Yay! Night owls get lucky bags too! Victory for the late-night crew.]

[Upstairs, youʼre not just staying up late anymore, youʼre pulling all-nighters. Take care of your health and rest earlier. PS: It would be even better if you didnʼt compete with me for the lucky bag.]

[Pfft! Even if I die from exhaustion today, Iʼll stay in Brother Xiaoʼs livestream until the very end.]

”Friend ʼI Donʼt Sleep Until the Moon Sleeps,ʼ you should really get some rest earlier,” Xiao He said quite helplessly when he saw this bullet comment.

Seeing these all-nighters made him nervous.

What if someone suddenly dropped dead in his livestream?

The livestream bullet comments echoed similar sentiments.

After the topic strayed for a moment, Xiao He returned to the main subject: ”The main reason I started this livestream is to let everyone know Iʼm safe. After all, I was really busy yesterday and only posted a status photo without time to say much. Now that I have some time, I also want to sincerely thank my fan friends.”

Xiao He put his hands together: ”I know youʼre worried about me, but I also hope everyone wonʼt come to the hospital anymore. Since Sister Liu, the young assistant, and I really didnʼt suffer any injuries, we should be able to be discharged from the hospital this morning. So please donʼt make a wasted trip to the hospital, thereʼs no need to come visit me.”

[Okay, Brother Xiao, since you said so, Iʼll refund my train ticket.]

[Itʼs good that youʼre fine. Iʼm already very happy that you specially started a livestream!]

[So what exactly happened with yesterdayʼs car accident? Was it really that old lady staging a crash?]

[Yeah, did Brother Xiao see that old lady? Were they doing it on purpose or was it accidental?]

[I think it must have been on purpose! That damn Labor Boss, it seems like thereʼs another person still undergoing emergency treatment! Just thinking about it makes me angry, how can there be people like this? They must be severely punished!]

Facing these questions, Xiao He could only play dumb: ”We donʼt know the details about this matter either. After all, there were so many things happening yesterday, and we were very tired. We didnʼt have time to understand the specific situation.”

”If everyone is concerned about this case, you can check the official announcement later. I wonʼt speculate about the case here to avoid misleading everyone and creating negative public opinion. At the same time, I hope everyone can rationally view the current information online and refrain from making random comments before detailed results come out—”

[Thatʼs right, view problems rationally! Donʼt believe rumors, donʼt spread rumors!]

[Yes, we havenʼt been saying random things, Brother Xiao! Weʼve always been calling for everyone to rationally wait for the announcement.]

Xiao Heʼs somewhat serious expression softened considerably.

So he naturally shifted the topic: ”I also want to thank everyone from the ʼCorner Alsoʼ crew this time. Sister Xinya and Director Yan both rushed over immediately after hearing about this incident and helped us handle online public opinion and hospital procedures. ʼCorner Alsoʼ will also be a very good work. If youʼre interested, you can check it out!”

It was perfect timing to ride the current popularity wave and promote it a bit, which also served to express their gratitude to Director Zhuang and others.

With this topic guiding the conversation, the bullet comments didnʼt continue pressing about the car accident. Instead, they asked Xiao He about things happening in the ”Corner Also” crew, while subtly trying to learn about their idolʼs situation in the production team.

Xiao He then chatted with everyone for a while while drinking his congee.

By the time he finished the congee, it was about time. The livestream had lasted roughly half an hour, and Xiao He hadnʼt planned to stream for too long anyway. So using the excuse of needing to bring breakfast back to his manager and young assistant, he bid farewell to the livestream audience and closed the livestream.

”Thank you, I appreciate you waiting here with me all this time.”

Xiao He returned the phone stand to Xue Yiwei.

Xue Yiwei quickly shook her head frantically, holding the phone stand with both hands, her eyes full of anticipation: ”Brother Xiao, could you sign this phone stand for me too?”

”I can, but...”

Xiao He looked somewhat puzzled at the stand in his hand.

Whatʼs so special about this thing that it needs signing?

”This is the stand Brother Xiao used for his livestream!” Xue Yiweiʼs eyes shone as if looking at some rare treasure. ”I definitely have to take this back for collection!”

Xiao He: ...

Xiao He broke out in a cold sweat.

Holding the idea of not understanding but respecting her request, Xiao He signed his name on the upper part of the stand.

After thinking for a moment, he added the date as well.

Sure enough, Xue Yiwei became even happier.

After taking photos with the two girls at the noodle shop entrance, Xiao He finally hurried back to the hospital carrying the breakfast he bought for the others.

As soon as he arrived at the hospital room, Xiao He discovered that Liu Rulan and the others had already woken up.

Due to the rushed admission, they hadnʼt prepared any toiletries, so everyone had only done simple washing up. Now, as soon as they smelled the food aroma, everyoneʼs stomachs started growling.

There was no helping it—they were genuinely very hungry. Xiao He hadnʼt eaten much yesterday, and they were basically in sync with him, so they hadnʼt eaten much either.

Liu Rulan cleared her throat, wanting to discuss the upcoming work arrangements with Xiao He first, but Xiao He interrupted: ”Letʼs eat something first. Thereʼs no hurry right now. Weʼll have energy to talk after eating.”

Xiao He wasnʼt some exploitative capitalist who made people discuss serious matters on an empty stomach.

Liu Rulan didnʼt stand on ceremony either and directly started eating the breakfast Xiao He brought.
