Technological Empire Starts From Shanzhai System

Chapter 394: Super strong solid-state battery
Chapter 394 Super strong solid-state battery

It also popularized the liquid batteries that are commonly used now, while semi-solid batteries and all-solid batteries are just concepts.

Many people expressed their support for Hantang Technology to develop all-solid-state lithium batteries, but for Hantang Technology to simultaneously develop sodium-ion batteries, and then learned that the future of sodium-ion batteries is bleak.

This made many people who heard the news puzzled, because it was speculated based on the evaluation of experts.

The currently proven lithium reserves in the world can produce 2.8 billion electric vehicles, if new lithium mines continue to be discovered.

The number of globally manufactured electric vehicles will only increase further!

And Hantang Technology is now developing an all-solid-state lithium battery. Once this all-solid-state lithium battery is successfully developed, the energy density of the battery will increase from the current 130Wh/kg energy density to at least 400Wh/kg!

That is to say, an electric car can be manufactured at that time. Once Hantang Technology successfully develops an all-solid-state lithium battery, it is equivalent to a 3.07-fold increase in the number of electric cars that can actually be manufactured.

If the energy density of all-solid-state lithium batteries can reach 500Wh/kg, the number of electric vehicles that can be manufactured will increase by 3.84 times!

If the energy density can reach the theoretical maximum of 900wh/kg, the number of electric vehicles that can be manufactured will increase by 6.92 times, which is equivalent to 19.37 billion electric vehicles!

Of course, people don’t need to think about the highest theoretical energy density of all-solid-state lithium batteries, but the lowest starting point is 400wh/kg, which is equivalent to 8.59 billion electric vehicles!

So once the all-solid-state lithium battery is successfully developed, there will be no shortage of lithium resources in the world, at least as far as the current situation is concerned, let alone 8.59 billion electric vehicles.

Even in the current situation, 2.8 billion electric vehicles are enough to fill the global market.

After all, lithium resources can be recycled, and after all, there are not many people in the world who can afford cars, and the rich are a minority after all.

So 2.8 billion electric vehicles can fully meet the market demand. It is estimated that let alone 2.8 billion electric vehicles, even 2 billion electric vehicles can satisfy the global market.

So in this case, Hantang Technology did not go all out to develop all-solid-state lithium batteries, but was distracted to develop sodium-ion batteries, which made many people puzzled.

I feel that this is a waste of money and scientific research energy, and I feel that this is not very good.

After all, it has been said in the media that many scientific research institutions around the world are already researching and developing sodium-ion batteries, but investing billions of dollars every year has not won this project, and failed to make sodium-ion batteries actually land in mass production.

At this time, Hantang Technology only has 10 billion U.S. dollars. This 10 billion U.S. dollars seems to be a lot, but it is a bit stretched to research new batteries that burn money.

So in this case, Hantang Technology should devote all its efforts to the development of all-solid-state lithium batteries, instead of being distracted to develop sodium-ion batteries!

”Did you forget that the price of cobalt metal soared at the beginning, which made Hantang Technology unable to produce low-end CPU chips!”

When people were puzzled, Li Zheng expressed his opinion:

”The price of cobalt at the beginning increased to dozens of times the original price in just a day or two.

At that time, the demand for cobalt did increase, but is it reasonable to increase the demand to such a degree that the price of cobalt has increased dozens of times?

Unreasonable! ”

Speaking of this, Li Zheng made an angry expression, and then sent a large paragraph of text:

”The skyrocketing price of cobalt is not a market factor, but human interference!

It is the three companies led by Meidiguo, Pingguo Company, Intel Corporation, and Motorola that are aggressively purchasing cobalt in the market, which directly increases the price of cobalt.

In the end, Hantang Technology was unable to use cobalt interconnection technology and cannot make high-end chips!

But fortunately, Hantang Technology successfully developed the carbon metal wire interconnection process, completely discarding cobalt, thereby reducing the price of cobalt to the normal price.

The same is true for lithium now. Lithium is scarce. As long as someone maliciously purchases and raises the price, the price of lithium will definitely skyrocket.

Although there are lithium mines in Daxia, accounting for 25% of the world’s total, these lithium mines contain too little lithium, so they are not bonanzas at all.

So if we want to produce lithium batteries in China, the cost will naturally be higher than others, which will put us at a competitive disadvantage.

In this case, if we really develop an all-solid-state lithium battery, then I can guarantee that the price of lithium will definitely soar at least 10 times, and it is possible to reach dozens of times!

So I think it is a wise decision for Hantang Technology to develop sodium-ion batteries while developing all-solid-state lithium batteries.

After all, sodium is a very high global reserve, and sodium can be directly extracted from metal mines or seawater.

The large amount of sodium in the world means that the price of this thing cannot be monopolized by a certain force, so the birth of sodium-ion batteries will undoubtedly completely stabilize the price of lithium!

So it is a wise decision for Hantang Technology to develop sodium-ion batteries! ”

In this regard, a group of friends named ”Hawthorn in the Yard” raised his question:

”But the atomic volume of sodium ions is too large compared to lithium ions, which naturally limits the energy density of sodium ions.

So sodium-ion batteries will never be able to compare with lithium-ion batteries in terms of energy density. ”

However, in the face of the words of the ”Hawthorn in the Yard” group of friends, the young man named ”Li Zheng” hurriedly spoke:

“I think you should know that it is impossible for one thing to occupy the entire market. Even if the all-solid-state lithium battery is successfully developed, the energy density can be increased to more than 400wh/kg.

But even that would only make 8.5 billion electric cars, so don’t be fooled by the numbers.

You should know that lithium batteries are not only needed for electric vehicles, but also for various electrical appliances in our daily use, as well as for power generation and energy storage.

In this case, all parties are demanding lithium and dividing up the use of lithium. In the end, it will be found that lithium is actually not enough. ”

Hearing the words of the ”Li Zheng” group of friends, other people in the group also flashed half-understanding eyes.

At this time, a group of friends named ”Ceramic Pot” also spoke:

“Indeed, when lithium-rich mines are not in our hands, high lithium prices are doomed.

I feel that Lin Xuan’s development of sodium-ion batteries is really a wonderful move. Once the sodium-ion batteries are successfully launched.

That will not only lower the price of rare metals like lithium, but also completely complement the energy industry!

The all-solid-state lithium battery is very good, and the energy density is very high, but the price is too high.

The amount of sodium ions is large, the raw material collection is easy, the material cost is low, and the price is destined to be low.

The combination of the two is destined to be a perfect complement. Lin Xuan’s move is really wonderful. ”
