Becoming Their Guiding Spirit

# Chapter 231: Beware the Deep Sea Girl ”Heh, I can’t believe my other self would do something so embarrassing. A little bit humiliating...”

Laurentina sat on the hospital bed. With her Oripathy suppressed, her physique had mostly recovered, returning to the absurd constitution of an Abyssal Hunter.

The patient gown was extremely loose.

As it hung on her body, the clothes on both sides of her shoulders threatened to slip off, revealing white shoulders and perfectly symmetrical collarbones, giving her the air of a seductive beauty. Coupled with her long, pale legs under the gown, which were easily over a meter long, it was easy for one’s imagination to... run wild.

Of course.

Lucas Reeve had no reaction. After all, the reason people have various desires—appetite, lust, etc.—is because they are endowed by the flesh, a primitive instinct produced by the interaction of corresponding hormones and the cerebral cortex.

But Lucas Reeve had no flesh...

Hormones naturally couldn’t be secreted. So...

Lucas Reeve, in his soul state, was in permanent ”post-nut clarity” mode.

Laurentina could recall all her previous memories. She couldn’t help but cover her forehead and sigh heavily.

”So... Skadi, when are you deleting that photo?”

Laurentina looked up, her red eyes glaring at Skadi from beneath her messy hair.

Skadi thought for a moment and said, a bit airily, ”I’ll delete it when I get tired of looking at it...”

”You *Aegir Profanity* *Iberian Profanity*... Just wait until I get the chance, I’ll...”

A fluent string of greetings filled the hospital room with the fragrance of ’civilization’.

Combined with Skadi’s unfazed expression, it was clear that *this* was the real Laurentina, and this was her true personality.

*Hiss...*

Evolving from a yandere nun to a trash-talking beauty... neither seems quite normal.

Nian narrowed her eyes. She felt that Laurentina and Dusk would get along easily. Dusk’s keyboard skills were by no means weak. When Lucas Reeve wasn’t around and Nian got bored of scriptwriting, she would go to Dusk’s room to ’play’ with her dear sister. And there, she witnessed a battle of gods, a scene no less intense than the ancient Great Hunt of Sui in Yan.

She saw Dusk transform into a ”Keyboard Immortal,” the *clack-clack-clack* of the keys incessant, typing twenty lines a second, flaming nine people into silence.

The only downside was.

The keyboard was, after all, just an ordinary keyboard. It couldn’t withstand the force of Dusk, a fragment of a god. She basically had to replace one every day. So Dusk had asked Nian to build her a durable keyboard. How could Nian refuse her own sister’s request?

She ”borrowed” a *few* materials from Lucas Reeve’s warehouse and built a new keyboard. The principle of a keyboard wasn’t difficult, an easy task for Nian.

Laurentina slowly stood up from the bed. Her red eyes flashed with a seductive charm, somewhat similar to the crazed yandere from before, yet different.

This made Lucas Reeve suspect... was the previous nun personality just Laurentina’s original personality, only slightly more unhinged?

Laurentina walked up to Skadi, her soft tongue licking the corner of her mouth.

”Not going to let the Lord God out? I need to thank him in person.”

Skadi: ”?”

Laurentina giggled. ”Stop pretending. You think I don’t know? The Lord God is right inside your body.”

Laurentina’s long finger poked Skadi’s chest, then slid upward, lightly lifting Skadi’s chin. Her lips curled into a smirk, her eyes flashing with a teasing light.

”?”

However, Laurentina didn’t know that Lucas Reeve was no longer in Skadi’s body, but over with Jessica.

From Lucas Reeve’s perspective.

Laurentina was lifting Skadi’s chin, pushing her against the wall. She used a bit too much force, and the hospital room wall cracked slightly.

This world-famous painting...

Lucas Reeve loved to see it~

What a deep-sea *yuri* scene.

”But...”

Skadi thought for a moment and slowly spoke.

”But... Mr. Reeve isn’t with me right now...”

Laurentina: ”?”

A voice came from the side. Lucas Reeve slowly emerged from Jessica’s necklace.

”...”

The glowing light in Laurentina’s eyes, which had been fixed on Skadi, instantly dimmed. She lost interest, turned around, and walked over to Lucas Reeve.

Jessica, meanwhile, jumped in fright. Her small body quickly hid behind Nian, afraid that Laurentina would push her against the wall for a *kabe-don* too. *No, no! My *kabe-don* chance is reserved for Mr. Reeve after he gets a physical body! I can’t let some strange girl steal it!*

Jessica’s cheeks puffed out. She hid behind Nian, peeking out warily at Laurentina.

”Thank you very much, Lord God. If it weren’t for your help, I probably wouldn’t have regained my sanity so quickly, nor would I have escaped from those church people.”

Laurentina bowed slightly to Lucas Reeve. The teasing and seductive air she had shown Skadi vanished, replaced by a serious demeanor.

”It’s nothing.”

Lucas Reeve said casually.

However.

When Lucas Reeve’s gaze met Laurentina’s, he could see a very peculiar emotion in her eyes.

Hm?

*Just as I thought...*

Although the Oripathy was suppressed, the former nun personality hadn’t disappeared. It was just temporarily suppressed by the main personality. But, to put it bluntly, the nun personality was still Laurentina herself. After coexisting for so long, some emotions had inevitably blended, which was why her gaze towards Lucas Reeve was a bit... off.

Of course.

There was another reason, one that Lucas Reeve didn’t know.

Laurentina was someone who yearned for art.

In Laurentina’s eyes, art was everywhere in this world. Architecture was art, painting was art, and people... were works of art created by heaven and earth. As for a god, a being of a higher order than humans! In Laurentina’s eyes, he was the most perfect work of art in the world.

The main personality’s appreciation for Lucas Reeve, combined with the nun personality’s fanaticism for him, created Laurentina’s current peculiar feelings.

Jessica was a little cautious, watching Laurentina warily.

*This long-legged girl...*

*She definitely has designs on Mr. Reeve.*

As a girl herself, Jessica knew that look all too well.

*WhatDoIDo_AsARichGirl_MyFutureHusbandIsTooPopular~.txt*

”Ahem...”

Jessica decided to step forward, adopting the air of the Chairwoman of Raythean Medica and Mr. Reeve’s ”main wife.” She straightened her back, pushing out her gradually developing chest, deciding to face Laurentina head-on.

Jessica had secretly sought out the Nine-Colored Deer before.

She asked the Nine-Colored Deer if there was any way to improve her figure. Jessica had tried many methods, eating countless expensive supplements from Columbia, but the results were minimal. Her height had increased from 146cm to 152cm, but she was still far from the tall 165cm she dreamed of. Her figure had also filled out from its initial skinny state. Her ”level” had also evolved from A-cup to B-cup, but it was still a far cry from her dream ”level.”

That’s why she had no choice but to ask the Nine-Colored Deer.

As a god, how could the Nine-Colored Deer not have a way? Understanding Jessica’s request, she immediately customized special meals for her. And sure enough... with the Nine-Colored Deer’s help, Jessica evolved.

She evolved from the ”Little-Cute Jessica” of the past into ”Medium-Cute Jessica,” and was now advancing towards ”Big-Cute Jessica.”

”Miss Laurentina, do you two have any plans for the future?”

Jessica asked with a smile.

”Not at the moment.”

Laurentina also remembered her captain seemed to be busy with something, telling her and Skadi to be on standby. ”On standby” basically meant, ”You guys go do your own thing, I’ll call you if I have intel.”

”What’s wrong, little girl? Are you jealous?”

”?”

The defensive line Jessica had worked so hard to build was instantly broken by Laurentina’s simple ”auto-attack.”

”No!! How could I be!!”

Jessica shook her head frantically.

*Sigh~*

Jessica was still too young. Although she had good business acumen, it didn’t mean she was talented in matters of love. On the contrary, Jessica had never been in a relationship, so she was sorely lacking in experience. She panicked easily when it came to the issue of ”who Mr. Reeve belongs to.”

”Hahaha, just teasing you.”

Laurentina gently patted Jessica’s cute little head.

In the end.

After some discussion.

Skadi and Laurentina decided to stay at Raythean Medica for the time being.

As for living arrangements, Jessica initially didn’t want them staying at her place, planning to put them in the Raythean Medica dorms. But she suddenly thought of a problem. A fragment of Mr. Reeve’s soul was inside Skadi. Miss Skadi seemed a bit airheaded, so that wasn’t a big problem.

But this Laurentina was *too* good at flirting.

She was this good at flirting with women; imagine her with men. This was a high-level expert. Jessica had to be cautious. She had never encountered such a high-level opponent before. Even Senior Franka was just a glass cannon with high attack and low defense. But Laurentina was different. High attack, high defense, high HP—a total stat monster.

If Laurentina and Skadi lived together, it was possible that when Mr. Reeve went to find Skadi, he’d be flirted with until his head spun.

So...

It was safest to keep her under her own supervision.

After thinking about it.

Jessica decided to let Skadi and Laurentina live at her house after all.

Luckily, Jessica’s house was big enough. Otherwise, it really wouldn’t fit them.

Including Skadi and Laurentina, there were now over ten people living in Jessica’s house. It was getting a bit crowded. Jessica had been thinking recently about buying the neighboring villa and combining them to expand. Although someone lived there, it was just an ordinary wealthy Columbian. She could just mention it and offer two or three times the market price.

”Oh, is that so? Then we’ll be imposing, Miss Jessica.”

Laurentina smiled faintly and said nonchalantly.

Aegir’s way of life leaned towards independence and individualism. Or rather, Aegir’s society was built that way. The concept of family wasn’t very strong. Even ”assigned” spouses would often separate after raising the required number of offspring, living their own lives like strangers. Aegir’s lifestyle was more animalistic, lacking a certain human touch.

Even within the Abyssal Hunters.

The hierarchy was strict, without much emotion. If a comrade showed any signs of abnormality, they would be cut down without hesitation. However, Skadi and Laurentina were two exceptions. Both had many friends, especially Laurentina, who was a total social butterfly.

Upon arriving at Jessica’s villa.

Even Laurentina was a bit surprised.

She understood the strength of land-dwellers very well. With her strength as an Abyssal Hunter, she definitely ranked in the T1 tier on the Terra continent. While not invincible, aside from the land gods, Laurentina wasn’t sure who could be her opponent. Even if there were, they would be among the most powerful individuals in each country.

However.

Upon entering the villa.

She sensed two more powers that surpassed her own.

One, a god of transcendent beauty, like an immortal descended to earth, was... cooking?

Another, a girl who looked like she stepped out of a painting, was sitting on the sofa mashing a game controller.

Laurentina: ”???”

*Are there really this many gods on land? Have they become so common that every household keeps a few?*
