Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World

Chapter 994: Explosion

One’s law was the comprehension of a universal truth condensed into an ability.

The law seed itself was merely visible proof of that comprehension. It did not mean a person could only use their law through the law seed alone.

This was something Michael had only realized after splitting his consciousness.

Yes, the existence of his law seed made everything easier and far more stable. However, his current understanding of the world had already reached a point where, even if he somehow lost all his power and had to begin from nothing again, he could still start using fragments of law power from the very beginning.

Why?

Because law was ultimately tied to comprehension.

And who exactly was Michael?

What truly defined him was not his flesh, mana, or even his abilities.

It was his soul.

His consciousness.

That was the true foundation behind everything.

When Michael split portions of his consciousness into the servants’ bodies, he unexpectedly discovered something.

He could still use a portion of his abilities through them.

And when he thought about it carefully, did that not count as a connection?

To be honest, back when the vice principal had fought on his behalf after he returned from Hell, Michael should have already realized this possibility.

At the time, he simply had not thought deeply enough about the true nature of his law.

Thanks to copying Jester’s abilities to control bodies through consciousness manipulation, Michael used fragments of his own consciousness as mediums.

Then, through those connections, he activated his law and copied abilities through the servants themselves, temporarily strengthening even those ordinary mortal bodies.

Unfortunately, most of the servants were simply too weak.

Even with this new discovery and Michael’s current power, there was only so much those fragile bodies could withstand.

In the end, Michael focused more heavily on turning them into living bombs rather than trying to transform them into true combatants.

Of course, despite his anger, Michael had no intention of implicating innocent people.

However, to his surprise, not a single person aboard that ship appeared innocent.

Michael did not know whether the Third Prince had intentionally surrounded himself only with rotten individuals, or whether people from the Black Serpent Empire were simply this corrupt by nature.

Either way, since his eyes were already upon them, he decided to do humanity a favor and clean out the trash personally.

The Third Prince staggered backward while pointing toward the eerie servants.

”Murder!”

”Someone kill them!”

”Murder!”

His previous elegance had completely vanished.

At this point, he looked almost hysterical.

Meanwhile, the remaining servants slowly tilted their heads in unison.

Their smiles widened unnaturally.

Then once again, that cold young voice echoed from every mouth simultaneously.

”You sent me a gift.”

The moment those words entered the Third Prince’s ears, his pupils contracted violently.

Now he finally confirmed who this was.

So it was really him?!

At this point, the prince believed even more firmly that Michael had truly killed Prince Rui.

Who else could possibly possess such horrifying methods?

F*ck!

What the Third Prince could not understand, however, was why things had escalated to this extent.

Even if the man truly cared about Arianne, why go this far?

Why directly become enemies with an imperial prince over a woman?

Unfortunately for him, Michael could not hear those thoughts.

And even if he could, he still would not care.

At this point, Michael was not interested in explanations.

Nor was he interested in political reasoning.

The moment Arianne’s severed head entered his hands, certain things had already become inevitable.

Truthfully speaking, this entire attack had genuinely been an attempt to kill the Third Prince.

Michael simply had not expected it to actually succeed.

Still, now that everything had already begun, there was no reason to stop halfway.

Who knew?

Maybe he would get lucky.

The moment the Third Prince fully confirmed the identity of the person behind this, fear completely exploded within his chest.

”MIC NOR?!”

Meanwhile, the remaining servants suddenly began trembling violently.

Master Veyl’s expression instantly changed.

”GET BACK!”

BOOM!

The old man slammed both palms forward as a massive wall of blazing fire erupted around the Third Prince.

At the same moment, the remaining servants charged.

Their bodies swelled unnaturally.

Dark veins spread beneath their skin while unstable mana fluctuations erupted wildly from inside them.

The Third Prince’s eyes widened in terror the moment he sensed the horrifying amount of unstable energy gathering nearby.

”No...!”

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Another terrifying chain of explosions erupted.

This time, the servants directly targeted the prince himself.

The entire flying port shook violently.

Massive pillars of black fire and corrupted mana shot toward the sky.

The defensive barriers around the prince shattered one after another.

CRACK!

CRACK!

CRACK!

The imperial guards screamed as several were blown apart instantly.

Even Master Veyl was forced backward several meters despite his overwhelming strength.

His flames surged wildly while he desperately resisted the explosions.

One should not think these explosions were weak simply because the bodies themselves were ordinary.

After all, what exploded was never truly the servants themselves.

It was the terrifying amount of compressed energy Michael had personally implanted into each body beforehand.

Huge quantities of mana and fragments of copied abilities had been layered together unstably inside those bodies.

That was also the reason the servants had looked so dull and vacant earlier after landing the ship.

Most of Michael’s attention had actually been focused on suppressing the unstable energy and preventing premature detonation.

What kind of destruction would occur when energy equivalent to Rank 4 power detonated point blank dozens of times simultaneously?

The answer was simple.

Absolute devastation.

The ground of the flying port completely collapsed inward.

Several nearby flying ships were instantly flipped over and damaged by the shockwaves.

The remaining imperial guards were thrown through the air like broken dolls.

Blood filled the sky.

Even the surrounding protective arrays of the port began flickering chaotically.

Priscilla’s pupils contracted slightly while maintaining her defensive barrier around the Lionheart personnel.

Even she felt genuinely shocked internally.

This level of destructive power...

And this bizarre control method...

What exactly had Michael become?

No.

What exactly was he?

At the same time, Priscilla could not stop a certain fear from emerging deep within her heart.

Putting aside whether Michael could truly oppose the empire directly, the mere fact that he dared to openly attack an imperial prince already proved enough.

If he could do this to the Black Serpent Empire, then what exactly could he do to the Lionheart Kingdom?

Inside the explosions, Master Veyl roared furiously.

His robes had partially burned apart while blood slowly leaked from the corner of his lips.

The old man was genuinely injured now.

He could only protect the Third Prince because his own strength far surpassed the explosions individually.

But the problem was quantity.

There were simply too many.

And every servant fought like a suicidal madman.

BOOM!

Another body exploded directly against Master Veyl’s defensive flames.

The old man’s expression twisted slightly.
