Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World

Chapter 608: Blood Servant (Last day of the month!! Requesting votes!!!)

To be honest, Michael had only wanted to test a theory — to see if his blood was valuable enough to significantly alter the course of an evolution.

Just as he suspected, with his title, race transformation, and unique physique, his blood essence was far from ordinary.

In fact, he realized now that it was perhaps even more potent than the blood essence he had used when evolving Lucky.

While several thoughts flashed through his mind, Michael’s gaze stayed locked on Ace, watching the process unfold with meticulous focus.

The glow surrounding the boy began to dim, the swirling light threads slowly retreating into his body until only a faint crimson aura remained, pulsing in rhythm with his heartbeat.

Then, the system’s familiar chime rang out in Michael’s mind.

[”Cultivator” has merged with ”Pseudo Divine Blood” and successfully evolved into: Blood Servant.]

Michael’s eyes narrowed slightly, his expression unreadable.

”Blood Servant?”

Before he could dwell on it, another series of notifications appeared.

[New Traits Unlocked: ”Divine Resonance” and ”Servant’s Mark.”]

[New Skills Acquired:]

Blood Sense (Master): Allows the Master to sense and locate their servant through blood connection.

Regenerative Veins (Servant): Greatly accelerates natural healing and allows recovery even after severe organ or limb loss.

Bloodborne Amplification (Servant): Temporarily enhances physical strength, agility, and perception by burning blood essence. Strength increase depends on synchronization with the master’s bloodline.

Servant’s Awakening (Master): Establishes a direct channel between master and servant, allowing the master’s consciousness to temporarily inhabit the servant’s body. During this period, the servant gains access to a fraction of the master’s power, vastly amplifying strength, perception, and control. Prolonged possession, however, risks severe strain on the servant’s body and mind, potentially leading to collapse or loss of identity.

Michael blinked once, eyes reflecting the faint glow of the system panel still hovering before him. What he had assumed would be a simple experiment had become something else entirely. This was no minor enhancement.

Michael’s fingers tapped slowly against his arm as he processed what the system had just described.

”This isn’t a fake Genesis Body. Can’t really call it an imitation either”

Rather than call it a copy of him, Michael seemed to have created something akin to an ”offspring.”

The realization struck him with quiet weight.

He tilted his head slightly, voice laced with faint curiosity. ”Have I just created a lesser version of myself... or something entirely new?”

The difference mattered. A Genesis Body was an extension of him—a part of his existence. But this Blood Servant was its own being, bonded not only by loyalty but by shared essence.

There was a reason why loyalty was mentioned.

This was because Michael quickly realized something.

Even without the master-servant contract, he could feel it. With just a single thought, he could end Ace’s life.

That was the extreme side of their connection.

The gentler side, however, was far more intriguing—and dangerous in its own way.

Through a few tests and careful observation of the link between them, Michael discovered that he could subtly influence Ace’s thoughts. If he truly wished, he could make the boy revere him—not merely as a master, but as a god. All it would take was a single command, a deliberate set of instructions woven into the shared bloodline flowing through them both.

The realization carried weight.

This revelation meant a great deal to Michael for many reasons, opening many possibilities to him.

However, now wasn’t the time to dwell on them.

He still had matters to attend to—and right now, that meant focusing on Ace.

Ace groaned softly. His body trembled, then stilled, the echoes of pain still etched into every breath he took. Slowly—almost cautiously—he pushed himself up from the gray sand of the coffin space, his movements weak but deliberate.

Michael’s gaze sharpened as he watched. The transformation wasn’t just internal.

Ace’s once short, blonde hair had grown longer, brushing past his shoulders, and interwoven among the yellow strands were streaks of black—thin at first, but unmistakably spreading through the color like creeping ink. His skin had grown fairer. It wasn’t the soft beauty of a woman’s complexion, yet it was far removed from the rough, weathered texture of someone who had known hardship.

Michael’s eyes flicked down, noting the slight change in Ace’s height as well. He had grown—barely an inch, but enough to notice. His body now carried a faint balance, something almost regal in how it stood.

But it wasn’t these changes that made Michael pause. It was Ace’s eyes.

When the boy finally lifted his gaze, the moment their eyes met, Michael froze for a fraction of a second. Ace’s irises had turned green—brilliant and deep, the exact same hue that burned within Michael himself and his Rank 3 undead.

”...Green,” Michael murmured under his breath, studying him closely. ”Just like mine.”

Michael’s expression softened slightly, though his gaze remained analytical. There was something else he noticed—something subtle yet strangely disarming.

He felt... close to Ace.

It wasn’t the type of connection born from trust.

The longer he looked at Ace, the more he realized that faint warmth he felt toward him wasn’t natural. It was inherent.

Michael exhaled softly. ”So that’s how it is,” he muttered. He could tell immediately what was causing it—the shared blood. The thread that tied them wasn’t just spiritual or symbolic; it was biological on a higher level. Their essences resonated, and that resonance created a flicker of goodwill within him.

Fortunately, it wasn’t strong enough to affect his mind. His will was far beyond something like that now. Still, he made a mental note—if I can feel this, then the same must apply to him.

He raised his hand slightly, his eyes glowing faintly green as he reactivated [Eye of Truth]. He wanted to see how deep this transformation had gone.

Lines of radiant information poured into his mind as his gaze swept over Ace. Using the gift was a draining task, but as his proficiency with it increased considerably—each use refined his control, his understanding, and his endurance.
