Spiritual Energy Revival: Transform Into a Divine Phoenix, Automatically Upgrade

254: Chapter 254 The Curse of ImmortalityChapter 2

In the meteorite crater.

Bathed in blood and with a withered aura, Elder Brother Red Sparrow stared straight at the fiery red giant bird before him with his red pupils.

He felt a bit strange inside.

If not for the fear that his Little Sister Crimson Sparrow’s life might be in danger, he would have chosen death over submission and would never have spoken so much to this fiery red giant bird, because he always felt that this fiery red giant bird was toying with him.

Clearly, this information was inherited in their minds; since they had the same evolution level, they surely knew this information...

He had never considered the possibility that Ye Yang was a native creature of Blue Star. This was understandable; spiritual energy had only been recovering on Blue Star for a year, so how could a native creature possess power as formidable as Ye Yang’s?

However, although he felt some anger and dissatisfaction inside, he dared not show it on the outside at all.

He continued to speak, explaining Ye Yang’s doubts.

”The Struggle of the Myriad Races... My current evolution level is ’B+’. There isn’t much inherited memory in my mind regarding this aspect. I only know... a supreme evolved creature of the Black Tortoise clan, who possessed the ability to speak, once prophesied that spiritual energy would inevitably recover in this world, and at that time, all evolved creatures would have a sliver of a chance...”

At this point, the atmosphere in the crater inexplicably became heavy.

”Chirp, chirp... Strange, what’s going on around here...”

Little White Fox Ah Li, floating beside Ye Yang, looked around with some confusion.

Seeing the large Red Sparrow suddenly freeze and stop talking, Ye Yang raised an eyebrow and pressed for an answer.

”What kind of chance?”

This call brought Elder Brother Red Sparrow back from his daze, and then he spoke with an inexplicable tone.

”To evolve to the end of the legendary evolutionary path, possessing power unrivaled by all other creatures... and eternal vitality!”

”Eternal vitality?!”

Hearing this, Ye Yang was shocked!

Since transmigrating to this world and learning of the existence of spiritual energy, his ultimate goal had been to pursue eternal vitality.

In his previous life, human philosophers all said that immortality was a curse that would make one’s life worse than death.

In his view, that was simply absurd!

Humanity had never possessed immortality themselves, so how could they presumptuously judge immortality as a curse?

Could one really deduce the truth of immortality being a curse based on the century-long experience of humans or the million-year history of the species?

Even if it were a curse, why was immortality something everyone in his previous life wanted to possess?

”Regardless of whether immortality is a curse or not, I must experience it for myself!”

It wasn’t just Ye Yang who was shocked; Little White Fox Ah Li and Little Sister Crimson Sparrow in the crater were also stunned by the topic of immortality.

”Chirp, chirp... Immortality... You’re not kidding, right?!”

”Chirp, chirp... If it’s Elder Brother, he will definitely be able to evolve into the strongest creature...”

”Chirp, chirp... If Elder Brother achieves immortality, I must work hard too!”

”Your bloodline is extremely noble; you might be one of the top races among the Myriad Races. You indeed have hope of evolving to that legendary evolution level...” Elder Brother Red Sparrow said, staring at Little White Fox Ah Li.

”Chirp, chirp? What do you mean? Can you speak more clearly, you red bird?”

The Little White Fox was dumbfounded; she didn’t have much confidence in herself, so why did this giant bird believe in her so much?

Elder Brother Red Sparrow looked at the nine fluffy tails behind Little White Fox Ah Li.

”In my mind, there is a fragment of inherited memory regarding the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox...”

”When I was on the mountaintop, I thought I had seen wrong... How could a creature of such a powerful race appear here? Now, carefully comparing the details in my mind... you little fox are a creature of the Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox clan.”

”Chirp, chirp... So my race is this strong?”

The Little White Fox floating in the air swayed slightly; there wasn’t much memory about her race in her mind, possibly because her evolution level wasn’t high enough.

Elder Brother Red Sparrow had finished saying everything. As his voice faded, the depths of the crater became quiet, with only the nervous heartbeats of the Red Sparrow siblings remaining.

Ye Yang’s golden pupils looked at the Red Sparrow siblings not far away, and he asked the last question.

”The Struggle of the Myriad Races... when does it begin?”

Elder Brother Red Sparrow pondered for a while and shook his head. ”The Struggle of the Myriad Races is just a probability. In fact, there aren’t just ten thousand races; millions upon millions of races will appear...”

”The time of the struggle is related to the concentration of spiritual energy in this world. According to my calculations, if spiritual energy continues to recover at the current rate, in about three years, the vast majority of creatures beneath Blue Star’s surface will emerge onto the surface.”

”Emerge onto the surface...”

A flash of inspiration struck Ye Yang’s mind. ”Then what is the situation in the ocean?”

”What situation in the ocean?”

Elder Brother Red Sparrow’s puzzled look let Ye Yang know that he didn’t know the current situation of the ocean, so he told him the intelligence he had previously learned from the Great Xia.

”What?! There are already commander-level evolved creatures among the marine life?!”

”Hiss... There must have been a massive change in the ocean!”

Elder Brother Red Sparrow was shocked and lost his composure; he didn’t even notice that his severely injured body was being affected by his intense emotions.

Because he knew what a commander-level creature meant...

Don’t look at it as just one level higher than the evolution level (B+); the increase in power it brings is an unimaginably huge gap!

What he found most incredible was that the current concentration of spiritual energy in the world did not support the recovery of commander-level creatures.

”There must be a massive change in the ocean!”

Although he didn’t know how the fiery red giant bird before him knew this information, he still said.

”However, we avian creatures are the kings of the sky, and ordinary marine creatures cannot affect us...”

Ye Yang nodded, but inside, he was impatient to explore the ocean.

He possessed the ’A-’ level Sea King talent, which increased his combat power by ten times in the ocean, making him incomparably stronger than he was now.

”No, no, the essence of the ’cautious’ strategy is not to be reckless!”

Then he looked at the two Red Sparrows in front of him. ”I can agree to spare you...”

The Red Sparrow siblings were stunned, then overjoyed, their red pupils filled with excitement!

”However... there is a condition.”

”Okay, go ahead. As long as you spare us, we will agree to anything.”

Ye Yang nodded, his gaze fixed directly on the petite Red Sparrow, which was Little Sister Crimson Sparrow.

”I want this Red Sparrow to stay in my territory, and you help me collect evolution resources from the outside world.”

”This...”

Elder Brother Red Sparrow and Little Sister Crimson Sparrow looked at each other, their eyes filled with shock.

If it was just this condition, it was truly too friendly to them.

Elder Brother Red Sparrow immediately nodded.

”Very well, we agree, respected Great Lord.”

The two Red Sparrows involuntarily spread their wings and prostrated on the ground, their heads close to the ground, signaling submission.
