Spiritual Energy Revival: Transform Into a Divine Phoenix, Automatically Upgrade

252: Chapter 252 Submit to Me? I RefuseOn the ground in the southern suburbs of Jianghai City, a massive crater formed instantly.

As it happened, not far from this crater, there were several other equally massive craters on the ground. These were not naturally formed, but were the aftermath of battles between the owner of this territory, Ye Yang, and other creatures.

High in the sky, a military camouflage helicopter wobbled as it approached.

”Is this distance enough? The aura of the Ancient Divine Phoenix is too terrifying; let’s not get any closer...”

”Fine. From this distance, we can film what is happening inside the crater.”

”Do you think these two giant red birds might be of the same species as the Ancient Divine Phoenix?”

”Doesn’t seem like it. Although they look similar, there are differences in the details—the color of their pupils, the arrangement of their tail feathers, and their overall physique... they are all different.”

”Then why did they start fighting as soon as they met?”

”How would I know? Maybe they’re fighting over territory...”

The staff from Jianghai City began to discuss it. Although they knew they were in a dangerous environment, after witnessing the terrifying battle between the Ancient Divine Phoenix and the giant red bird, they had resigned themselves to their fate.

After all, to a creature of the Ancient Divine Phoenix’s level, they were like ants, so there was no need to worry too much...

More importantly, they understood that worrying was useless!

It was better to focus on filming this footage and contribute to Jianghai City, and even all of Daxia, by collecting intelligence on Ye Yang.

On the ground, at the edge of the crater, stood a giant bird with a handsome appearance, radiating flames.

A flash of surprise crossed his golden pupils. Ye Yang was shocked to see that the large Red Sparrow deep in the crater was not dead.

”This large Red Sparrow is still alive?!”

”That’s strange...”

Although this was his first time using the Multiple Fusion Ray skill, Ye Yang could still make a preliminary assessment of its power.

According to his estimation, the large Red Sparrow should have been dead by now, or at the very least, on its last legs, clinging to its final breath.

Yet, as it stood, the large Red Sparrow was merely in a severely injured state.

He furrowed his brows, and his immense aura grew colder and sharper.

The power of his ultimate trump card attack was far below his expectations, which put Ye Yang in a bad mood.

”Respected and powerful Great Lord, my sister and I did not intend to enter your territory. I know this is a provocation against someone as powerful and noble as you...”

”I am willing to pay with my own life... to appease your anger...”

”Please, Great Lord, let my sister leave here...”

The weak voice of the Elder Brother Red Sparrow struggled to emerge; it was clear that he cared deeply for his sister, the Little Sister Crimson Sparrow.

”No! Brother, I won’t leave!”

The Little Sister Crimson Sparrow felt even more heartbroken. Her brother, who had always been aloof and proud in her eyes, was actually begging for mercy on her behalf. This was more painful to her than death.

”Hmm... To think there are such emotional creatures among these Origin Stone creatures?”

Ye Yang felt a sense of curiosity...

Swoosh! With a leap, he instantly landed in the depths of the crater. Waving his wings in disgust, he swept away the scarlet blood and feathers on the ground.

He then glanced indifferently at the two Red Sparrows not far away.

He said nothing, but his cold silence was his answer... which was—extermination!

Ye Yang was no saint or philanthropist. Why should he let this young Red Sparrow go and create a hidden mortal enemy? Wouldn’t that be asking for trouble and acting like an idiot?!

His sudden appearance in the depths of the crater made the two Red Sparrows nervous. The Elder Brother Red Sparrow, unwilling to give up, spoke again.

”Powerful Great Lord, you should have confidence in the... powerful strength you possess.”

Recalling the colorful energy beam from earlier, his red pupils constricted. ”If it weren’t for my special constitution, which allows me to be immune to a portion of fire-attribute energy attacks... I would have certainly died by now...”

”My sister has average evolution potential; she will never be a threat to you in the future...”

”Oh? So it was due to a special constitution?”

Hearing the words of the Elder Brother Red Sparrow, Ye Yang noticed that on the severely injured surface of the creature’s body, the colorful energy from his Multiple Fusion Ray was still raging. He realized that the red energy, representing the fire element, was significantly less prevalent on the creature’s body surface compared to the other attributes.

It seemed the Elder Brother Red Sparrow wasn’t lying. The power of his Multiple Fusion Ray, by all normal accounts, was likely close to what he had originally estimated.

Seeing Ye Yang lost in thought, the Elder Brother Red Sparrow felt a glimmer of hope and tried to continue his plea, but Ye Yang ruthlessly cut him off.

”Rest assured, you two siblings will not be separated. This crater will be the burial ground where you lose your lives.”

”Damn it...”

The Elder Brother Red Sparrow cursed under his breath, feeling despair. Beside him, the Little Sister Crimson Sparrow was desperately trying to recall her past, hoping to find a way to escape alive. However, her evolution level was not high, and the only memories awakened in her mind were that she had a brother of the same species; she knew nothing else.

Seeing the two Red Sparrows waiting for death in silence not far away, Ye Yang suddenly thought of something.

”You two bird creatures are from the Red Sparrow clan, right? Why not do as that Mixed-blood Flood Dragon, the Black Flood Dragon, did—spout threats before dying and have your clan take revenge?”

Seeming to know that their fate was sealed, the Elder Brother Red Sparrow became more composed.

”Once you embark on the path of devouring evolution, you either devour or are devoured. Having one’s clan take revenge is completely meaningless.”

Ye Yang was somewhat stunned as he looked at the proud Elder Brother Red Sparrow.

”You’re an honest fellow. To show my respect, I will enjoy your flesh alone and will not share it with any other creatures.”

He raised his sharp claws and walked slowly toward the two Red Sparrows.

Feeling his powerful aura and massive body approaching, the Elder Brother Red Sparrow remained steady, but the delicate body of the Little Sister Crimson Sparrow couldn’t help trembling.

Just as Ye Yang was about to strike, the Elder Brother Red Sparrow stepped in front of the Little Sister Crimson Sparrow. A deep struggle appeared in his red pupils, as if he were hesitating over something important.

”Hiss... Could it be that this Red Sparrow still has a hidden trump card?!”

Ye Yang immediately became vigilant, but after waiting a few seconds, the Elder Brother Red Sparrow made no further move.

”Damn it, what on earth is this Red Sparrow trying to do?!”

Thud! The Elder Brother Red Sparrow finally moved. He bent his body, spread his wings on the ground, and slammed his head heavily against the ground.

He chirped at Ye Yang, ”We, the Red Sparrow siblings, are willing to submit to you, the powerful Great Lord...”

Ye Yang and the Little Sister Crimson Sparrow were stunned for a moment and exchanged blank glances. Then, Ye Yang felt amused.

He chirped in response, ”Sorry, I reject this boring proposal...”
