Reborn As a Snake, I Can Absorb Fear

Chapter 137 Using Giants to Fight GiantsAfter all, President Trump had held the presidency for many years, and many in the cabinet were his nominees, effectively making them part of his faction.

No matter how persuasive Frank’s words had been earlier, once President Trump woke up, the power of speech immediately returned to his hands.

In fact, President Trump had been faking unconsciousness; ever since the Big White Snake came ashore, he knew things were troublesome.

To avoid getting entangled in the situation, he had a flash of inspiration and chose to fake unconsciousness.

It wasn’t that he wanted to watch the USA get destroyed by the Big White Snake, but rather that he didn’t want his subordinates constantly bothering him about the Big White Snake incident.

He could calm down, lie there, and think of a solution.

It was just that he was old, and overexerting his brain caused him to drift off to sleep while thinking.

If the Secretary hadn’t woken him up urgently, he really would have been unknowingly sent off as a scapegoat.

This Frank was truly detestable; not only did he want to get him killed, but he also wanted to make him infamous for generations.

President Trump looked at Frank with a sinister gaze, while the latter offered a fake, mirthless smile.

”Mr. President, you woke up just in time. Someone who didn’t know better might think you had been eavesdropping the whole time.”

”Hmph, Frank, you’ve disappointed me too much. This country cannot be handed over to someone like you. I think we should propose to Congress that your position as Vice President be removed.”

President Trump was not one to suffer a loss; he vented his anger on the spot, making no attempt to hide his hostility toward Frank.

Frank sneered, not caring about President Trump’s threat. His position as Vice President couldn’t be removed just because of one word from President Trump.

”Mr. President, what should we do now?” the Minister of Finance asked anxiously, as they had already wasted too much time.

”Everyone, don’t worry. I have already thought of a countermeasure.” President Trump looked calm, showing no signs of anxiety.

In fact, he really had thought of a desperate measure, but before that, he had to correct the political stance that Frank had led astray.

”First, I must correct one of Frank’s mistakes. Frank has committed a serious error of right-leaning capitulationism. He disregards the international situation and blindly tries to appease the enemy, attempting to gain the enemy’s forgiveness. In the end, not only will he fail to receive the enemy’s mercy, but it will also cause the enemy to become even more unscrupulous.”

”The Big White Snake is a giant beast by nature, and giant beasts are natural enemies of humanity. Eliminating giant beasts is a common duty for all of humanity. The giant beast has not only killed our soldiers but also destroyed our cities, causing countless citizens to die in the disaster.”

”In the face of such hatred, not only does Frank not think about seeking revenge, but he wants to appease the giant beast and gain its pity. He is the number one traitor of our USA, and also the number one traitor of humanity.”

”His actions will not only be condemned by the citizens of our USA but also by the people of the whole world.”

”But fortunately, I woke up in time, preventing Frank from causing such a catastrophe. Otherwise, our USA would certainly have been destroyed by Frank’s hands.”

President Trump’s words were fierce, and he condemned Frank unceremoniously, painting him as the biggest villain in the world—a move even more extreme than what Frank had said about him.

But obviously, the others were not fools; it wasn’t a case of whatever President Trump said being the truth. If the Big White Snake crisis wasn’t resolved, what was the use of President Trump speaking so righteously?

Seeing that the others did not join him in denouncing Frank, President Trump was very dissatisfied.

However, he could not show it, so he continued: ”I know you are worried that we cannot stop the Big White Snake and that our USA is in danger of destruction.”

”But you can rest assured; the Big White Snake cannot destroy our USA.”

”Mr. President, what do you mean by that?” the Speaker asked, unable to help himself.

If the USA could be saved without surrendering, then who would choose to surrender?

The others also had their curiosity piqued by President Trump, and Frank was no exception.

Although he had political disagreements with President Trump, their feelings for the USA were the same; neither wanted to see the USA destroyed or defeated.

President Trump cleared his throat and continued.

”You should know that giant beasts are not monolithic. From the information we have observed previously, we know that giant beasts in the ocean often fight each other.”

”As a member of the giant beasts, the Big White Snake must have fought with other giant beasts in the ocean. Perhaps there are enemy giant beasts chasing it, who knows.”

President Trump’s words made the others nod silently, and the Secretary even gave President Trump a thumbs up.

Her President was still as wise as ever, radiating a unique charm characteristic of the elderly.

”Therefore, to deal with the Big White Snake, we don’t necessarily have to do it ourselves. Since we cannot solve it, we will leave it to those who can—no, I mean, to other giant beasts.”

”But Mr. President, where are we going to find such a giant beast?” the Secretary of Defense asked.

President Trump looked with satisfaction at the Secretary of Defense, this old codger with questionable intelligence; a smart teacher likes it when a slow student asks questions.

He was that smart teacher, and the Secretary of Defense was the slow student.

President Trump’s voice suddenly became high-pitched.

”Well asked! Where are we going to find a giant beast to deal with the Big White Snake? And how do we persuade the giant beast? This is our most critical issue right now, and I think each of you has this question.”

”However, what I want to say is that we don’t need to look for it. The giant beast will naturally encounter the Big White Snake. All we need to do is sit on the mountain and watch the tigers fight.”

”Sit on the mountain and watch the tigers fight?” the Speaker exclaimed. He was successfully captivated by President Trump’s words, just like an audience member listening to a storyteller, his emotions stirred by President Trump.

”Yes, sit on the mountain and watch the tigers fight. In fact, our USA also has giant beasts, and they are deep in the Rocky Mountains. As long as the Big White Snake dares to cross the Rocky Mountains, it will inevitably encounter the giant beast there.”

”Tell me, what will happen when the two beasts meet?”

President Trump paused and asked the crowd.

”One mountain cannot hold two tigers; they will fight to the death.” The Secretary of Defense wanted to jump up and clap, but he didn’t succeed; only his heels lifted slightly, as he was too old to jump.

”So that’s it.” The Secretary of State suddenly realized. He hadn’t been clear about the existence of giant beasts within the USA, and these matters were not under his jurisdiction, so he hadn’t thought of this at all.

”But Mr. President, why haven’t the giant beasts inside the mountains come out?” the Minister of Finance raised his question. Since there were giant beasts, they had never known about them.

”Because the giant beasts only appeared recently. Previously, they were always shrouded in mist, and our people who went in to investigate disappeared without a trace, so the President did not spread the news.” Obama, the head of the Intelligence Agency, explained from the side.

He had known about the giant beasts for a long time, but he didn’t know the details. Because there were no signs of the giant beasts coming out, and coupled with the rampant sea beasts, neither President Trump nor he had any intention of disturbing the giant beasts in the mountains, so they didn’t conduct any reconnaissance.

They didn’t tell anyone else, not even the Secretary of Defense knew about it.

But now President Trump was asserting with confidence that the giant beasts inside could block the Big White Snake, and Obama felt a bit suspicious.
