After the Breakup, Indulgence Returned to Cash, and I Topped the Rich List

177: Chapter 177 Sky-Piercing Convoy! After all, everyone who managed to come here was from the top media outlets of various countries.

Therefore, the winner would naturally gain tremendous publicity and attention.

”Tsk tsk, that’s nearly 800 million RMB. Even I’m a bit tempted!”

Even Wang Sicong was rubbing his chin on the side.

”Yeah, that’s really a lot of money. Even the market capitalization of many companies doesn’t compare to that amount!”

Jiang Zhenqi, who was nearby, was equally moved.

”This prize money won’t be easy to take. I reckon today’s contestants will be fighting for their lives.”

Shen Zhou also shook his head slightly.

In a real competition setting, all sorts of accidents are normal.

Not to mention that the prize money and attention for today’s competition have been raised to an unprecedented level.

Therefore, all the contestants will definitely be fighting with their lives on the track.

And naturally, that comes with various risks.

This is also the real reason why Shen Zhou is unwilling to participate himself.

Furthermore, the mere prize money of one Euro and the so-called attention simply couldn’t attract him.

Soon, all the contestants were in place, and every race car was parked in its respective starting position.

Everyone started from the same point, and they would also fight for positions while cornering during the race.

Beside each Formula Racing car stood a scantily clad woman, each holding a long flag.

As they waved the flags in their hands downward, the roar of engines suddenly exploded across the venue.

All the race cars, which had been ready to go, immediately shot forward like arrows released from a bowstring.

All the contestants present had signed life-and-death waivers before participating.

Plus, before the race started, they were attracted by the prize money and attention.

The eyes of all the contestants turned bloodshot.

Shen Zhou, Wang Sicong, and the others observed the situation on the track below from the private room, commenting from time to time.

Shen Zhou was not familiar with some of the contestants on the track below.

He only paid slight attention to the team member he had temporarily sent onto the track.

”Hey, look everyone, that green number eight car is running quite fast!”

Wang Sicong suddenly pointed casually.

”That’s right, that number eight car has a very aggressive overtaking trend!”

Kang Minghao also couldn’t help but comment.

Everyone looked down and saw a green Formula Racing car on the track, which basically showed no signs of slowing down while cornering.

It was overtaking car after car in an extremely fierce, one might even say suicidal, manner.

Originally, at the very start, he was only at the very back of the pack.

But now, he had already overtaken five contestants and was ranked in the middle of the pack.

”I didn’t expect that little guy to be quite good!”

Shen Zhou, who was nearby, couldn’t help but comment.

”Wait, that’s not right. Old Shen, do you know that number eight contestant?”

Wang Sicong suddenly sensed something was off and couldn’t help but turn his head to ask.

Others also cast looks of interest.

Several female internet celebrities hurriedly turned their gaze over as well.

”Hahaha, I forgot to tell you guys. A while ago, I formed a racing team in Switzerland.”

”Of course, the team members were assembled quite hastily, mostly poached from other places.”

”Then I found a way to buy a qualification for the competition, and that number eight racer is from my team.”

Shen Zhou explained with a smile.

”Hiss!”

Wang Sicong and the others nearby all gasped, looking at Shen Zhou in astonishment.

”It’s always you, Brother Shen. Not to mention you secretly set up a racing team, but you even managed to buy an entry qualification on the eve of the competition.”

Ge Haiyang couldn’t help but exclaim.

Even Kang Minghao, who was nearby, couldn’t help but nod.

The few of them were considered racing enthusiasts, and of course, they knew the reputation of the Kuangbiao Competition.

The original Kuangbiao Competition was very professional, so this year’s competition began to reform and also relaxed the entry threshold.

But regardless, those who could make it onto the track were absolute professionals; which one of them wasn’t a battle-hardened professional racer?

But judging by what Shen Zhou said, this number eight racer didn’t seem to have much competition experience.

”Actually, this was a coincidence.”

”It just so happened that a contestant couldn’t participate due to health reasons, so after I found a way to negotiate with the organizers, I sent one of the young racers from our team.”

”My intention was to let him gain some competition experience, but I didn’t expect this little guy to be so fierce!”

Watching the number eight car on the track below overtaking so fiercely, Shen Zhou was already thinking about how to give the little guy a bonus after the competition ended.

”It’s a pity he is still too far behind; I reckon he won’t be able to get a good ranking.”

Juliana, who was nearby, shook her head with some regret.

”Being able to maintain his current ranking is already not bad. Just by doing this, I reckon it will be enough to make a name for the team.”

Shen Zhou nodded quite satisfied.

After all, the original intention of him founding the racing team was to complete the task assigned by Brother Tong.

A young man who suddenly appeared, competing against many well-known professional racers, had actually managed to reach a middle-tier position.

This should already be enough to shock the industry.

And it would probably also kill a lot of film for the media reporters.

When the competition was halfway through, two race cars suddenly collided while fighting for a corner.

In the end, both cars flew off the track, and sparks even erupted at the scene.

Fortunately, every Formula Racing car used a special tripod anti-collision structure.

Therefore, the two contestants inside were safe and sound.

The fire brigade, which had been prepared on the sidelines, rushed up at the first moment and extinguished the sparks.

First aid personnel immediately took the two contestants away.

And this incident also caused the many contestants on the track to slowly cool down.

Especially the number eight contestant from Shen Zhou’s team; the little guy immediately sought progress while maintaining stability.

He no longer used very aggressive ways to overtake, but instead tried hard to maintain his current ranking.

Until the end of the race, the little guy finally achieved a good result of fifth place.

This result and the final lap time were enough to make many professional racers feel incredibly impressed.

Therefore, after the race ended, apart from the majority of media reporters who went to interview the champion, runner-up, and third-place winner, even more people chose to interview the little guy who took fifth place.

”Mr. Wallace, may I ask if this is your first time participating in the competition?”

”Mr. Wallace, we haven’t heard of you signing up for this competition before. Why did you appear on the track?”

”Congratulations to Mr. Wallace for achieving such a good result of fifth place, but this is the first time we’ve heard of the Qingtian Racing Team that you race for. Can you introduce its origin?”

On the large screen in the private room, the young and tender Wallace looked a bit nervous facing the camera.

But precisely because of this, some of the things he said appeared extremely sincere.
