I am God LSLCCF

Chapter 283: Abyss - Sequence Number 4

At the tea party in the Rainbow Forest.

A group of Wood Nymphs sat stunned at the table while another stood with a serious expression.

“God of Toilets and Filth?” one Wood Nymph pressed her index fingers against her nose bridge. It was a conversation with quite an aroma.

“Does such a divine being really exist?” another Wood Nymph asked curiously.

“Of course, I must be right. Who else would choose to live amid mud and stench?” The Wood Nymph who had spoken earlier declared with certainty.

Though Wood Nymphs weren’t as prone to gossip as spirits, their fondness for tea parties showed they had inherited some of that tendency.

Hearing the increasingly outlandish speculations, Florrie spoke up.

“No…”

“Please stop these wild guesses. No matter what, we’re speaking of a divine being.”

Florrie halted the discussion on this aromatic topic and the wood nymphs’ increasingly far-fetched conjectures.
“This deity was likely corrupted by the sacrifices of His mad followers, causing Him to fall into the mortal realm.”

“That Snake Person told me that the place of filth was created when the former Queen of the Winged People performed certain terrible rituals that defiled divine beings.”

“I’m unsure whether this deity has yet to awaken or has already fallen into madness.”

Florrie shared her thoughts: “This deity probably didn’t want this either. If He were conscious, such things wouldn’t have happened.”

The Wood Nymphs immediately began a new round of discussion: “The Queen of the Winged People? Isn’t He the deity worshipped by the Winged People?”

The Wood Nymphs remained puzzled: “Why would His followers do this to Him?”

The Wood Nymph who had suggested the peculiar title “God of Toilets and Filth” spoke again: “This queen must have held a grudge against her deity, truly hated Him.”

Florrie had only heard from Yafuan about events after the Abyss appeared.

However, Yafuan wasn’t familiar with the specific reasons for the Abyss’s formation or the past of Abyss Queen Melde.

All he knew was that the Abyss’s formation was connected to the queen’s defilement of divine beings.

The Wood Nymphs’ discussion yielded no conclusions.

After all, the Wood Nymphs only had a partial understanding of the Demigods’ situation. They knew the Art of God’s Grace was written by a Trilobite Man named Lan, but didn’t know what it was. They had seen Demigods but didn’t know how to walk the Path of Wisdom.

Through discussion alone, they couldn’t uncover the truth behind a Demigod’s fall.

At this moment, Florrie once again recalled that object.

The Miracle Tool: Spirit’s Magic Mirror.

That mirror knew everything that had happened or was happening. It must also know the reason behind the Abyss’s birth and understand its true nature.

The Dream Sovereign descended in the Spirit’s Hot Air Balloon that day, arriving at the edge of the Dream Continent.

Wood Nymph Florrie spotted the hot air balloon from afar.

She hurried to meet the Dream Sovereign and bowed before the divine being.

“Lady Hila.”

The Dream Sovereign smiled at the Wood Nymph she had created with her own hands: “Ah, Florrie!”

Florrie said to the Dream Sovereign: “Last time when you weren’t at the Pyramid Temple, I used your mirror.”

The Dream Sovereign nodded: “I know.”

“You wanted to contact other Demigods, inform them of the Wood Nymph race’s existence, and give them the Rainbow Tree branches you had prepared.”

“That was your mission. I approved your use of my mirror.”

Wood Nymph Florrie continued: “Thank you, Lady Hila.”

“But this time I wish to use your mirror once more. I seek an answer to something.”

Instead of refusing, Dream Sovereign Hila showed curiosity on her face.

“I can lend it to you, but you must tell me why.”

The Wood Nymph immediately explained to Dream Sovereign Hila the reason and recounted her journey to the Demigod realms.

Hila asked Florrie: “You sympathize with them.”

The Wood Nymph first shook her head, then nodded.

“I don’t sympathize with those mad and fallen ones, but I feel the ordinary people shouldn’t suffer this hardship.”

“Although this catastrophe was indeed brought upon by mortals themselves.”

“Still, I want to help them, at least help those ordinary people.”

Dream Sovereign Hila looked at Florrie with satisfaction and said, “Florrie, you are kind. I agree. The mirror is in the temple for you to take.”

Wood Nymph Florrie respectfully bid farewell to Dream Sovereign Hila as Hila needed to continue inspecting her dreams.

Meanwhile, Florrie flew in another direction, toward the sun of the Creator’s Domain.

Soon she entered the God-Given Land.

She walked along the stone paths through the Sun Cup Flower Sea, her clean, delicate feet stepping on stones of various sizes.

These paths were said to have been the great roads of the God-Given City in ancient times. The God-Given City was supposedly the world’s oldest city, built by the first King of Wisdom, Redlichia.

She looked at the ruins amid the flower sea, but couldn’t see the city at all.

Only when strong winds swept past did those ancient ruins, hidden deep in the flower sea, reveal slight traces of their former existence.

The Wood Nymph was struck by their ancient, weathered essence.

Previously when Florrie came here, she hadn’t felt much. However, after hearing the stories of Asai and Polik last time, viewing this origin site of the Trilobite Men felt completely different.

“For the Trilobite Men, this place must be like our Rainbow Forest!”

“Will there come a day when our Rainbow Forest also becomes ruins, with no one remembering us?”

Florrie couldn’t imagine such a distant future, as the Wood Nymph race had only recently come into being.

As a race, they were still in their infancy.

Florrie walked through the Sun Cup Flower Sea and gradually heard the clamor of the Spirit Country in the distance.

“Here She comes!”

“She’s here again!”

The spirits flew about, shouting.

“She’s taken over our slide again.” Little spirits flew everywhere in the sky, circling around a slide that stretched across half of the God-Given Land.

“We should complain to God Yinsai,” the little spirits said angrily.

“But we made an agreement with her that the slide belongs to her during this time every day,” the little spirits lamented.

In the distance, atop the Spirit Grand Library where the slide began, a little girl stood with her hands on her hips, looking very pleased with herself.

Wood Nymph Florrie naturally didn’t understand the spirits’ troubles, but she didn’t approach to learn more either.

She liked the little spirits too, but only enjoyed watching these adorable beings from afar.

If she joined them and got surrounded by spirits, she would find them too boisterous.

Fortunately this time the spirits’ attention was drawn to another being, and no one noticed Florrie.

She quietly approached the Pyramid Temple and walked inside.

Just as she stepped in, she caught sight of someone in the temple from the corner of her eye.

He was a man in white robes, yet a direct gaze revealed only Eternal Light.

In that fleeting glance, Florrie noticed he seemed to have black hair like hers.

Since gaining the ability to project through God’s Moon into this world, Yin Shen had taken on a human appearance. However, few could maintain direct eye contact with his projected form because even a gaze with mortal eyes rather than using spiritual power would eventually expose his true form.

“It’s God Yinsai.”

Florrie startled like a frightened cat, her whole body tensing.

She quickly hid outside the door, her heart pounding with anxiety.

But at that moment, a voice came from within the temple, playful and childlike.

It was a little spirit who had somehow gotten trapped inside the temple.

“Someone’s being sneaky.”

“Hiding by the door, she believes that if she remains hidden, neither we nor the divine being can see her.”

“She’s fooling herself, no… she’s like someone covering their ears while stealing a bell.”

The little spirit spoke mischievously, its voice filled with schadenfreude.

“I saw you.”

“I saw who it was.”

“It’s Florrie, the little Wood Nymph.”

Now Florrie could no longer hide. She had no choice but to emerge from behind the door.

She walked into the temple with her head bowed, not daring to look at the divine being.

“God Yinsai.”

The god didn’t speak, only nodding slightly.

Florrie also noticed who had been speaking earlier.

On the windowsill beside God Yinsai sat a flower pot containing a mischievous little spirit. The spirit had buried its head in the cup, pretending to be a Sun Cup.

Someone must have planted this naughty, troublemaking spirit in the flower pot, but whoever did had since forgotten about it and gone off to play.

Florrie stood nervously in the temple, not daring to say a word.

The temple fell silent once more.

She observed the naughty little spirit. She also noticed the bronze mirror in the divine being’s hands, which was the very Miracle Tool Spirit’s Magic Mirror she wished to borrow.

The little spirit stared right back at her and, upon seeing Florrie peek at the bronze mirror, immediately shouted.

“Florrie is peeking. She wants to see what the divine being is looking at too.”

Florrie finally understood why this little spirit had been planted in a flower pot.

The little spirit didn’t realize that by speaking up, the word “too” revealed it was also peeking.

“I wasn’t.”

“I wouldn’t dare.”

She explained hastily, lifting her head.

God Yinsai raised his head at that moment, his gaze fixed on Florrie.

In an instant, Florrie felt the sun and moon vanish from the sky.

She plunged into endless darkness where a star grew ever larger. Its eternal silver light shone down, turning her pupils completely white.

Florrie quickly stumbled backward and bumped into an ancient tall statue at the base of a divine platform. Her stumble broke her free from the terror of being consumed by time and ages. Still not understanding what had just happened, she turned to look at the statue she had collided with.

It was a Trilobite Man, appearing incredibly lifelike.

Even as he knelt on the ground, his robust build and majestic presence were evident.

“Whose statue is this?”

“Why is it placed in the temple?”

“What kind of person’s statue would be worthy of being here?”

God Yinsai seemed to see right through Florrie’s thoughts. The deity, who had remained silent until now, finally spoke.

“He is not a statue. He is Redlichia.”

“This is the body he left behind.”

God Yinsai’s voice remained as cold and detached as ever, concealing what should have been sighs of nostalgia and regret for the passage of time.

“He vowed to remain here forever, to stay in this temple.”

“To eternally accompany me here.”

Florrie was utterly astonished. “King of Wisdom Redlichia? That ancient divine king?”

The Wood Nymph immediately moved aside because before her stood the origin of the wisdom lineage, the divine king of all wisdom races.

“So He has been here all along?”

All Florrie could do was be amazed.

She didn’t know the past of this Wisdom Divine King, much less the story between the Creator and the First Son from the beginning of time.

Seeing the surprise and bewilderment on Florrie’s face, God Yinsai seemed to lose interest.

He set down the mirror and turned away.

He seemed to know that Hila had agreed to Florrie’s request and understood why Florrie had come.

“Look then.”

With those words, the Creator’s form vanished into light and disappeared from this world.

Florrie stood dazed, unsure if she had said something wrong or if divine beings were simply as unfathomable as the moon above.

At this moment, the flower pot on the windowsill also began to shake.

“I’m leaving too.”

The little spirit in the flower pot broke free and flew away laughing, without a care in the world.

Only Florrie remained alone in the temple.

Florrie stood there for a long while until her emotions finally settled.

At last she remembered her purpose in coming to this temple.

She stepped forward and carefully picked up the bronze mirror to begin asking it questions.

She held the mirror before her, able to see her face and the flower crown atop her head reflected in its smooth surface.

“Mirror!”

“Mirror!”

“Please tell me, who is the deity of the Winged People and what kind of existence is the Abyss truly?”

The scene in the mirror shifted like clouds parting slowly.

The background was no longer of this era but of an ancient primitive city during the Henir Dynasty of the Yinsai Kingdom.

The scene showed a dark night and a Trilobite Man holding a stone tablet in a lamp-lit room.

It was Xiao, the high priest under the Evil God during the Henir Dynasty.

At this moment he faced betrayal from all sides. The third sage of the Temple of Truth Vivien, the Little Person in the Bottle who occupied Sacred Mountain, Asai the reincarnation from Anhofus, all of them wanted his life.

He had reached a dead end. Although immortality and divine status, which he had pursued and yearned for all his life, appeared before him, and although he had discovered the path to mythology, he no longer had the strength to advance.

He devised a strategy to shed his shell like a cicada, hoping to escape this era’s dead end and travel to the next age.

Xiao entrusted everything to his old servant and then died under the power of Anli’s Seal Spirit.

Florrie watched the Trilobite Man in the scene. This priest’s entire being exuded a cold aura.

“This person… feels terrifying.”

Though she knew this scene was from countless years ago, she still felt afraid when she saw the Trilobite Man’s gaze.

It was a gaze of extreme coldness and absolute determination.

For anything he set his mind to, he could sacrifice anyone, even using himself as a tool to achieve his ideals and goals.

Xiao’s early life was unremarkable and drew no attention. His later life was filled with betrayal, evil, and corruption.

But in the final moments of life, he spoke words of unprecedented grandeur.

“I shall return in mythical form.”

Xiao’s servant knelt on the ground, holding a stone tablet as he bid his final farewell to Xiao.

They both knew they would never have the chance to meet again.

“Regrettably, I cannot witness the day you become a god.”

But Xiao said, ‘It doesn’t matter!’

“At the other end of time, someone will know everything you did for me. Countless people will sing of your story and mine.”

“That will be the beginning of another myth.”

Florrie roughly understood that this Trilobite Man before her was the deity worshipped by the Winged People.

The other end of time that Xiao imagined might have been ten thousand years, a hundred thousand years, or perhaps several hundred thousand years.

Yet what he never could have imagined was that it would be two hundred and fifty million years.

The passage of time shattered all his fantasies and ambitions, turning every plan and arrangement over to fate.

Florrie held the Spirit’s Magic Mirror and continued watching.

The scene changed, showing Xiao transforming into the Ancestral Fish.

From the Ancestral Fish, he became various ancient sea creatures before finally crawling from the seabed onto land.

Xiao’s reincarnation represented the evolutionary history that began with the Ancestral Fish.

Following the passage of time, scenes from this era appeared in the mirror.

A young winged woman pushed open the Gate of Spirituality and entered.

When she awoke, she became the first Sky Messenger of the Winged People.

At the same time, she carried new life in her womb.

The young woman was overjoyed. She believed the child was a gift from the divine being and a covenant between the Winged People and their deity, marking the beginning of her faith.

This young woman was Melde, the former Queen of the Winged People, and the life in her womb was Duma.

The former young woman fanatically worshipped the Gate of Spirituality. Gradually she became the cold and aloof Winged Queen of later times.

Finally, the mirror showed the horrifying scene of the Abyss’s birth.

Winged Queen Melde prayed to the divine being, yearning for the deity’s awakening and manifestation in this world.

With mad and terrible laughter, the Winged Queen gave birth to the place known as the Abyss.

In the Pyramid Temple, Florrie held the mirror and covered her mouth.

She appeared somewhat nervous.

In the mirror, Winged Queen Melde’s consciousness split in two, as if she were talking to herself.

Dark Melde: “This is the deity’s dusk form. This isn’t your fault.”

Melde: “Really?”

Dark Melde: “Of course it’s true.”

The terror and despair slowly vanished from Melde’s face as her lips curved into a smile.

“So then it is truly wonderful.”

Darkness surged up, completely engulfing her.

Florrie watched as Melde’s will succumbed to a darkness beyond redemption.

She was utterly shocked, almost unable to comprehend.

“How… could it be like this?”

“How could this happen?”

“Is devout faith also a kind of error?”

She had thought that the Winged Queen defiled the divine being because she was not devout and would stop at nothing for power.

Florrie never imagined that Winged Queen Melde was an incredibly devout believer, so devout that she placed the divine being above herself and all the Winged People.

But it was precisely this unwavering faith that placed the divine being above all else that ultimately pulled the deity down from its altar.

Her boundless devotion and blind following of the divine being led her to defile the deity, causing the Gate of Spirituality to fall into the Abyss.

The irony was overwhelming.

Florrie finally understood the cause and effect of the Abyss’s birth, a story spanning two hundred and fifty million years.

It was a story of an ancient race seeking to become mythical, only to fall into the purgatory of reincarnation.

A story of a mortal worshipping a divine being, only to ultimately defile it.

Florrie continued asking the Spirit’s Magic Mirror: “The Abyss is life born from the Winged Queen, so is it alive?”

“Is it a fallen Evil God?”

The mirror reflected images of the Divine Cup before suddenly stopping.

The mirror was connected to the dream star sea. It could only show scenes that people had witnessed, scenes of the living.

Some things it could not reveal, or rather did not have permission to directly display.

“The Divine Cup?”

“Why did scenes of the Divine Cup appear? Could the Abyss be connected to the Divine Cup?”

Florrie pondered for a long while before suddenly realizing something.

She flew out from the God-Given Land, heading down beneath this God’s Island.

Endless Light of Wishes flowed past Florrie as she drew closer to the massive Divine Cup.

One could see this golden giant cup slowly rotating, the Dreams of Law it contained rising and falling with its rotation, creating the most beautiful and stunning scene around the God-Given Land.

As Florrie approached the Divine Cup, the somewhat ethereal and indistinct text on it gradually became visible.

These were inscriptions on the Divine Cup, recording the sequence of all tools in the world that transcended mortality and possessed supernatural power.

Though called inscriptions, they could be seen constantly changing, with text and information revealing different aspects according to the observer’s authority and ability.

Ranked highest at number one was a blood-red emblem.

Florrie had seen this emblem before.

It was pinned to Life Sovereign Shelly’s dress, appearing like an unremarkable ornament.

But now Florrie learned its name for the first time, and was shocked by its power.

【Stuen’s Emblem】

【Sequence Number 1】

【Its bearer gains the status of Life Ability Demigod, obtaining eternal life and power to transform into monsters.】

The description was very brief, perhaps because Florrie’s authority was insufficient to query more detailed powers and specifics.

Florrie continued looking down, seeing two more familiar tools.

【Divine Boat, Sequence Number 2, A mythical vessel traversing between the Creator’s Domain and reality, transporting life’s dreams.】

【Spirit’s Hot Air Balloon, Sequence Number 3, It is the Dream Sovereign’s mount, a special Miracle Tool possessing spatial power.】

Following these was a Divine Artifact that had appeared recently, crystallized from Wisdom Ability.

It should have ranked further back originally but had recently climbed steadily to reach this position.

【Abyss】

【Sequence Number 4】

【Ability 1 Dark Corruption: The Abyss possesses immense corrupting power, able to spiritually pollute and corrupt other life forms, transforming them into Abyss races. Abyss races are influenced and controlled by the Abyss, eternally becoming part of it, but higher Abyss races can in turn control part of the Abyss’s authority.】

【Ability 2 Abyss Sacrifice…】

【Ability 3…】

【Ability 4…】

Florrie could only see the first column, with just a name visible in the second.

Everything after that remained blank.

However, Florrie had guessed correctly that after being corrupted, the Abyss had broken free from the Gate of Spirituality’s control.

After absorbing the filth of countless mortals and the power of numerous monsters, it had long since transformed into something akin to a tool.
