I am God LSLCCF

Chapter 173: The Origin of the Life School

The young doctor first followed a merchant caravan through the Dark River region. The towns near Anho City had developed well in recent years.

This was Lan’s hometown, and the Ice Temple, once presided over by Lan as the high priest, had flourished.

Influenced by this second-generation Sage of Truth, the cities in the Dark River region were filled with various food workshops.

In the city, the young doctor saw artificial reservoirs inside workshop buildings, where priests and workers used various methods and secret techniques to rapidly propagate plankton in the water.

Each workshop produced different food pastes, with varying prices.

Even the food pastes were different from before.

Some workshops made the paste into cakes, some into sweet pastes, and others into pills.

Besides these, there were workshops producing sugar, oil, noodles, flour, and other foods, each with its own unique characteristics.

Locally, families formed around these workshops, each possessing their own secret techniques for food production, which became the foundation of their livelihoods.

Though intrigues and dark dealings still existed, the variety and increase in food types had led to a population boom in the Dark River region in recent years, rivaling even the area around the Sacred Mountain capital.
Witnessing the changes brought by knowledge and power, the young doctor’s desire to learn medical skills at the House of the Witch Doctors grew stronger.

“The divine techniques bestowed by the gods have truly transformed this world!”

The caravan’s elderly guide, who had lived through the era before ritual miracle powers, spoke of the past with great emotion.

“Indeed!”

“In the past, there weren’t so many miraculous creations. Everyone lived like savages.”

“Not like now, with all kinds of food to eat and clothes to wear.”

“At night, the entire city used to be pitch black. Now we have oil lamps…”

The old guide chattered on about the past, feeling as if everything now was like a dream, possessing things once unimaginable.

The young doctor chimed in, his face beaming with enthusiasm.

Past the core area where Anho City was located, the surroundings gradually became desolate.

Here, there were no more caravans heading forward.

He began to walk.

The bustling cities turned into towns, towns into scattered villages,

Until finally, not even a single person could be seen.

On the barren, desolate land, nothing existed except sand and stones, with only him walking alone.

Following the map drawn by the old guide, he ventured deeper into unknown territory, gradually leaving the realm of Yinsai behind.

Finally, one afternoon, he saw his long-sought destination.

A huge rift tore through the earth, with bottomless darkness below.

“The Great Chasm of Death.”

The young doctor walked along the great chasm for a long time, finding a magical bone bridge,

Indeed, as the man had said, standing on it made one’s legs weak.

Looking down, one felt dizzy.

But it wasn’t as dangerous as he had described.

Although the bridge swayed violently in the wind, it was actually very sturdy, with protective sides making it not so easy to fall off.

Passing through the bone suspension bridge, he then experienced the so-called Mist of Good and Evil.

Completely unlike what that man had said, he saw nothing.

Through the mist, he glimpsed a wall rising above the fog layer, topped by a great gate.

At the top of the gate was a huge, eerie head, looking down at the young doctor from high above. He even felt that this head was alive, as its eyeballs were rolling around.

Inside the wall, the mist was still thick, but he occasionally heard strange calls and footsteps.

A voice came from afar, asking the young doctor.

“You’re not here for treatment. What do you want from us?”

The witch doctor’s voice resonated deeply, as if echoing from a great distance.

The young doctor stopped, looking around in the mist: “I am a doctor.”

“I’ve come here hoping to become a great physician like you, witch doctor sirs, able to cure all diseases and injuries.”

He said sincerely: “Esteemed witch doctors, although you possess powerful skills, you also have compassionate hearts.”

“But there are too few of you, while there are too many in Yinsai who need treatment.”

“If you could spread these skills, you could help people throughout the entire world.”

The mist gradually dispersed, revealing the House of the Witch Doctors.

The witch doctors stood in a row before the small house.

As the legend said, they wore special robes and mysterious masks.

After exchanging glances, the six witch doctors shook their heads and said to the young doctor.

“You’ve misunderstood.”

“Everything we do is not for healing and saving people. Our purpose is to understand the mysteries of life.”

The young doctor looked bewildered, but the witch doctors continued.

“However, you may follow us to learn.”

“As long as you’re willing to become someone who understands and explores the mysteries of life.”

The young doctor knelt down: “Thank you. From today on, I am your student.”

The six witch doctors walked into the small house, and the young doctor stood up to follow.

Inside the house.

The young doctor changed into a robe with a circular imprint and human-shaped brand on the back, officially becoming a member of the House of the Witch Doctors.

Here, he learned about the mysteries of the body for the first time.

He learned that the consciousness and thoughts of Trilobite Men originate from the brain, and different parts of the brain have different functions. He also learned about the roles of various organs in the Trilobite Man’s body.

He also noticed that the witch doctors had many ways of treating diseases.

One of the more special and common methods was their ability to produce a kind of bone powder, which could cure illnesses when ingested.

The young doctor asked the witch doctors: “What kind of power is used to make this medicinal powder?”

The witch doctors told him: “This is bone demon magic.”

“By understanding the pathology, we create bone powder that counteracts the source of the disease.”

“You need to master the power of life and the innate power of bone demon magic. Only when these two are combined can it be used.”

The young doctor was excited and wanted to ask how to master this power.

But the witch doctor told him bluntly: “You can’t learn it, and neither can ordinary priests.”

Only the talent of bone demons, combined with the miraculous power of the life tool God-Created Man, could create such miracles.

The young doctor wasn’t discouraged.

He believed that as long as he found a way, he would surely find another path.

———–

As the first Trilobite Man doctor joined the House of the Witch Doctors, it was as if a door of light had been pushed open on the dim path of many doctors.

Doctors from all over Yinsai began to flock to the House of the Witch Doctors. A few were accepted, while many more were turned away.

Here, they didn’t learn divine techniques.

Instead, they studied the essence and mysteries of life, so ordinary people could also join.

Because of their tenets and beliefs, they were called the Life School by the Trilobite Men.

This school originated from the initial six witch doctors, dedicated to finding or creating a power that could transform life.

But as the legend spread, it took on new dimensions.

Some said the secret sought by the Life School was to create the perfect life form.

Some even went so far as to claim that everything they did was to achieve one goal—

To become God.

The human-shaped imprint on the back of their robes was considered important evidence supporting this speculation.

After all, in many people’s eyes.

The form of humans was the image of the gods.
