Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 877: Using yin energy to level up?

Gritting his teeth, he immediately took out several high-grade beast cores, pressing them to his body as he circulated his energy absorption method. Pure mana from the beast cores poured into him in torrents, replenishing his essence even as it was being devoured by the flames.

At the same time, he kept the black flames flowing, filtering and weakening the Yin cave’s surging energy.

From behind, his gaze unconsciously shifted to the general, and what he saw made his scalp tingle. The man’s aura was changing—it was no longer the restrained, dignified calm from earlier. Instead, it was growing darker and heavier, with faint black lines appearing around his body.

These lines weren’t ordinary marks but shaped like chains, floating like illusory bindings that gave off a sense of oppressive suppression. They looked ancient and sinister, almost like seals that shouldn’t exist in the mortal world.

In the general’s palm, two black whirlpools had formed, spinning endlessly as they devoured the Yin energy pouring from the cave like rivers. Clusters of pure negative energy were being swallowed whole, flowing straight into his body without resistance.

Five minutes passed, and Max’s breath caught in his throat. On that jade-like face of the general—handsome to the point of being unnatural—there now appeared thin black lines shaped like blooming flowers or arcane runes.

They were no larger than a bead, but their existence radiated something strange and unsettling, like cursed brands etched into his very soul. Max felt a chill creep into his heart just looking at them, a primal instinct warning him that something about this general was deeply wrong.

Then came the sound.

”Boom!”

The Yin Cave trembled violently, the ground itself quaking as cracks spiderwebbed across the stone floor. The rocks jumped and shuddered with every pulse of energy, like the heartbeat of a monstrous beast awakening beneath them. Max’s face turned grave as he suddenly sensed that the Yin energy inside the cave was no longer flowing—it was surging, building, preparing to erupt with a power he had never felt before.

”Boy, quickly strengthen the power of the black flames!”

The general’s sharp voice snapped him out of his shock. Max’s expression twisted into a grimace. He was already draining himself to the limit, but there was no hesitation in his movements. He immediately unleashed the second level flame concept, flooding his black flames with more essence and intensifying their power until they roared like an infernal storm.

The Yin energy faltered for a moment under the intensified suppression, but it was clear this was only temporary.

”Boy, the power of this Yin cave is beyond my expectations. Once it fully erupts, I’m afraid both of us will be injured,” the general said suddenly, his tone still calm even though his words carried a hint of urgency.

Max’s face darkened further. Beyond his expectations? This man was a Divine Rank undead, an existence that should have been invincible within this secret domain, yet even he found the Yin Cave overwhelming. That was terrifying.

The Yin mana at the cave mouth surged like an ocean tide, condensing so densely that it emitted a black light, illuminating the cavern in an eerie glow. Max’s control on the black flames fluctuated as he turned to the general and asked in a grave voice, ”Senior, do you have any solution?”

”There is only one way now, and that is for me to open a gap and allow you to absorb the power of this Yin cave,” the general said, his voice calm yet deep like rolling thunder.

At first, this sounded like an incredible opportunity. The Yin Cave was a rare natural treasure, and its power could push one’s cultivation to terrifying heights. Yet Max’s face only grew uglier. His brows furrowed, his breathing uneven, and his expression tense. This was because the Yin energy inside the cave was far too dense and violent, carrying an aura of death and corrosion that felt like it could shatter his body from the inside out. If even a Divine Rank expert had to use special methods to handle it, what chance did he, a mere peak Master Rank expert, have?

The thought of his body exploding from trying to absorb too much Yin energy filled him with dread. His hands clenched tighter around his Blue Dragon Sword as he hesitated.

”Boy, what are you afraid of? You have the black flames!” the general suddenly shouted, his eyes flashing like lightning. ”You must not absorb the Yin energy raw. Use your black flames to refine it, burn away its deadly impurities, and turn it into pure mana. Only then will it not harm you. This power will help you advance directly to Champion Rank.”

Max froze for a second, then his eyes widened as if he had just woken from a dream. ”Yeah... why didn’t I think of that?”

He had almost forgotten about his Unholy Trinity Physique, a body constitution that could absorb and store all kinds of energy from the world without backlash. If it could handle fire essence, lightning essence, and other elemental forces, why not Yin energy? Once stored, he could refine it slowly until it turned into pure power at his command.

His hesitation vanished. ”I know what to do,” Max said with a newfound resolve. His gaze burned with determination, his earlier fear completely gone.

”Good,” the general nodded, satisfied by his response. ”Then pay attention. I will open the gap now.”

He raised his palm, which had been sealing the Yin Cave, and made a subtle movement. Immediately, a terrifying boom echoed throughout the cavern as a small opening appeared in the Yin Cave.

From that gap surged a tide of Yin energy so dense and cold it seemed to twist the very air. The power rolled toward Max like a storm, threatening to crush him into dust.

Max’s body trembled under the pressure, but his eyes didn’t waver. With a sharp breath, he activated his black flames. They roared to life, wrapping around his entire body like a burning black cloak. The flames hissed and spat as they met the rushing Yin energy, burning away the extreme chill and weakening the oppressive nature of the Yin force.
