Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 565: A Dragon’s EGG

”Do gods truly exist in this world?” Max asked, his voice low, almost reverent, as he gazed at the softly glowing black egg nestled in the shimmering energy field.

The question wasn’t asked casually—it was born from the awe that had taken root in him ever since he could think, ever since awakening his class.

The colossal black dragon stirred slightly, its enormous wings tucked neatly against its body as its ancient eyes stared into Max’s very soul. ”They do,” the dragon replied calmly, its voice a thunderous whisper of eternity. ”But not now. Not anymore.”

The dragon’s gaze drifted toward the egg, and for a moment, a flicker of something like sorrow passed through those timeless eyes. ”This egg is a remnant. A sleeping heir. It was conceived from a direct descendant of the true dragons—my ancestor—during the Primordial Era. That was a time when gods walked openly in the Divine Realm, when the laws of heaven weren’t studied—they were written by their hands. But something happened. A calamity, a reckoning, a shift so vast even our kind could not escape it.”

His voice deepened, almost mournful. ”That event shattered the foundation of that divine age, and the egg, which was meant to awaken under the light of true gods, could no longer grow. It was trapped between the echoes of a dead age and the silence of this one. It could not remain in the Divine Realm, for the world has changed too much... so it has slept here, in the heart of the Nine Dragons Painting, bound by the last breath of the old world.”

Max looked again at the egg, the bluish pulses of natural energy throbbing from it like a heartbeat. It wasn’t just an egg—it was a legacy sealed in time, a testimony of an era no longer remembered, kept alive in a place beyond reality.

And standing before it, Max suddenly felt something stir within him. A whisper. A call. As if the sleeping god inside was calling for him, calling to his bloodline.

’What is this feeling?’ Max stood in front of the dragon egg, stunned.

It hadn’t even hatched, and yet something within it reached out to him—not with words, not with presence, but with a strange, ancient calling that tugged at the core of his soul.

The egg looked harmless, unmoving, nestled gently in the cradle of natural energy and watched over by wandering spirits, yet standing there, Max felt something stir inside him—something deep and primal. It made no sense.

How could something unborn, something still waiting to emerge into the world, exert such influence over him? His instincts screamed recognition, connection—something far older than blood.

Just then, Blob’s calm voice echoed in his mind, breaking the silence.

”Put this egg in the spirit world,” it said firmly. ”The spirit world inside you is the best place for its growth. True dragons and spirit creatures aren’t that different when it comes to nurturing. And if that egg is truly of primordial origin, then your spirit world might be the only place it can grow properly.”

Blob’s voice echoed once more in Max’s mind, this time firmer and more persuasive. ”Besides, a true dragon is of ancient origin, Max. Far more than just a beast. Their connection with time, law, and essence is beyond comprehension. If you can form a bond with one while it’s still unhatched, give it a place to grow naturally within you, the benefits you’ll receive later could be unimaginable. Don’t let this opportunity slip through your fingers.”

Max’s gaze hardened, his eyes locked on the egg that pulsed with faint bluish energy. The connection he felt wasn’t just fleeting or coincidental—it was real, as if he could feel the connection between them.

”I can help the egg grow naturally,” Max said aloud, his voice steady and resolute as he looked up at the towering black dragon.

In the end, he made his decision—not because Blob had urged him, not because he was promised unimaginable benefits, but because something deeper stirred within him. It was a sense of duty... a silent oath to the origin of his own strength.

This egg, ancient and slumbering, came from the same primordial source that pulsed through his veins. According to the black dragon, his bloodline was that of its ancestor, and now here, before him, lay another remnant of that same lineage—a fragile, unhatched dragon from an era when gods walked the world.

It felt like fate. No, more than that—it felt like a full circle.

The power he wielded, the strength that set him apart, wasn’t just some random blessing. It came from something, from someone, and that someone had left behind this egg. It was too great of a coincidence to ignore.

And so, standing in the sacred stillness of that glowing chamber surrounded by spirits and timeless energy, Max took a breath and offered his help—not out of ambition, but reverence.

He would give this egg a place to grow, a world inside him where it could flourish naturally. It was the least he could do for the bloodline he bore. A silent gesture of gratitude... and perhaps, the beginning of something even greater.

There was a pause. Then the dragon’s golden eyes narrowed dangerously. His breath became visibly hot, misting the air, and the space around Max trembled slightly under the sheer weight of the dragon’s aura.

”What do you mean by that?” the dragon rumbled, his voice now sharp, edged with suspicion and warning. It was clear he had misunderstood Max’s intent, perhaps thinking the human dared to tamper with the legacy of his kind.

Max didn’t flinch. He had expected that reaction. Slowly, he turned to look at Kane, the man who had brought him here. And to his surprise, Kane was already watching him—calm, composed, almost amused, as though he saw straight through Max’s words and understood his true intentions. There was no judgment in his eyes, only curiosity, and a faint glimmer of anticipation.

’Does he know I have the Dimensional Keeper class?’ Max suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, like a cold breath whispering against the back of his neck.
