Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 207: A Promise

It happened.

Instead of shattering—

Instead of breaking apart like before—

The wheel absorbed the lightning.

A sudden surge of power rippled through it, its rotation accelerating, its presence sharpening.

The once gray glow began to change—

It turned deep purple.

Electric arcs crackled along its edges, flickering wildly.

Maxʼs eyes widened.

Encouraged, he released more Lightning Aura into the wheel.

Purple bolts surged forward, wrapping around the construct, embedding themselves deep within its form.

WHIRRRRR!

The Evil Wheel of Samsara rotated violently, spinning at an insane speed, warping the space around it.

It was no longer just a weapon of slaughter—

It had become something new.

Something infused with speed, precision, and overwhelming electric force.

Max stared at it for a moment—

Then a slow, satisfied grin spread across his face.

”It worked.”

His voice was barely above a whisper, but the exhilaration in his eyes said it all.

”Lightning worked!”

A deep, rumbling laugh escaped him.

After that, Max practiced the technique repeatedly, refining his control over the Evil Wheel of Samsara infused with Lightning Aura.

Each time, the wheel spun faster, the lightning crackled sharper, its destructive force growing with every attempt.

But—

He had no way to gauge its full power.

”I guess Iʼll have to test it in a real battle,” Max mused, sheathing his sword.

With that thought, he shifted focus—

Turning his attention to his new skills and techniques.

For the rest of the day, he trained relentlessly.

Inside the Dimension of Time, where years could pass in mere hours, Max honed every new ability—pushing them to their limits.

The next day—

Max and Alice stood alone in a secluded area, a place where no other guild members could see or hear them.

The air was still, yet the weight between them was anything but light.

Alice spoke first, her voice carrying both determination and worry.

”Max, I spoke to my mother. She said she wonʼt give in to the Young Monarchʼs demands. Sheʼs not going to expel you from the guild. And with a month to prepare, we can ally with one of the Four Families… or even the King of the West. We can push him back. So you donʼt need to worry.”

Her words were strong, but her eyes—they told a different story.

Max sighed.

There was so much he wanted to say, but he held back.

Too many what-ifs. Too many uncertainties.

”Alice…”

He called her name gently.

But Alice kept going, her words coming faster, filled with desperation, anxiety, and concern.

”Alice.”

This time, his voice was firmer.

She finally looked at him—her eyes glistening, on the verge of tears.

Max met her gaze, his tone steady, assured.

”Donʼt worry. I wonʼt leave. Not yet. Not until the month is over.”

”But…” Aliceʼs voice wavered. ”That means youʼll leave after that?”

Max sighed.

”You know how the Monarchs are. Theyʼll do anything to get what they want. If I donʼt leave, it doesnʼt matter how many alliances you form. Heʼll come. And when he does, he wonʼt just take me—heʼll destroy the Phoenix Order. Heʼll take you, too.”

Aliceʼs face tightened with emotion.

”Is that what you want?” Max asked softly.

Alice didnʼt respond. She couldnʼt.

Max took a step closer.

”And besides,” he added, ”weʼll still be in touch. So you really donʼt need to worry.”

He turned to leave. ”Alright, I have to go. Your mother and the others must be waiting for me.”

But Alice remained frozen, her expression unreadable.

Max hesitated, then sighed.

He stepped forward and placed his hands on her shoulders, making her look up at him.

”Hey, you worry too much.”

His voice was lighter now, teasing, but still reassuring.

”I know the strongest man on the continent is after me. But if he was really that strong, he wouldʼve come here himself instead of just sending a projection of his soul.”

Max smirked.

”You know what that means? It means heʼs not a Master Rank yet. If he was, he wouldnʼt need all these schemes. And if thatʼs the case—he wonʼt come after me personally.”

Aliceʼs eyes flickered with understanding.

”Besides,” Max continued, ”I know a better place to hide.”

Alice swallowed hard, then nodded.

”So… when will we meet again?” she asked hesitantly. ”After you leave?”

Max grinned.

”Four months later. On the King of the Westʼs birthday. Youʼre going, right? All the major guilds are. So am I. Weʼll meet in the West.”

Aliceʼs lips parted, her fingers curling into fists.

”Promise?”

Maxʼs smirk widened.

”Of course. Itʼs a promise.”

Then, with a chuckle, he added, ”Besides, Crown Prince Aelric has invited me to the West more times than I can count. If I donʼt go, itʼd be disrespecting the royals. And I wouldnʼt want to do that, would I?”

Alice let out a small, relieved laugh.

”Alright,” she nodded. ”You promised. And if you dare break that promise… Iʼll tell Big Sis Sophia to beat you into a pulp.”

Max burst into laughter.

”Iʼll remember that.”

With a final glance at her, he turned—

And in the next instant, he was gone.

***

Max let out a deep sigh as he walked away from Alice, his mind heavy with thoughts.

He had almost told her.

Almost revealed the truth—that he was Voidwalker, the brother of Freya Voidwalker.

But at the last moment—he stopped himself.

ʼ”I will tell her... I will be honest with her. But now is not the time.”ʼ

With that silent resolution, he pressed forward.

By the time he arrived at the designated meeting point, the portal loomed ahead, shimmering with an eerie glow.

The others were already waiting.

Aurelia stood at the front, arms crossed, her sharp gaze flickering toward him the moment he appeared.

Beside her, Anton shot him a glare, his usual scowl firmly in place.

”Youʼre late.”

Max raised his hands in surrender.

”I was training. Lost track of time.”

Anton scoffed.

”Hmph. You better not make the same mistake again.”

Max shrugged, amused.

ʼDamn, this guy changes his personality way too often.ʼ

Some days, Anton acted superior, like a proud warrior who saw Max as a rival.

Other days, he acted cold and indifferent, as if Max didnʼt exist.

Also very often he would be chill as if they were friends.

And then there were moments like this—where he nagged like a strict instructor.

ʼPick a personality, man.ʼ

Maxʼs gaze swept across the group.

Anton. Bruce. Serena. Aurelia.

That was it.

These were the only ones from their guild attending the welcoming ceremony of the Envoy.

Aurelia spoke up, her tone sharp.

”Is everyone here?”

Anton shook his head. ”Weʼre missing the new one.”

A frown tugged at his lips.

Max raised an eyebrow. ”New one?”

Just then—footsteps echoed behind them.

Sophia appeared, walking toward them—and someone followed behind her.

The moment Max saw who it was, his eyes widened in surprise.

Aion.

The same guy he had given directions to just yesterday.

ʼWell, this just got interesting.ʼ

He sighed and turned to Aurelia, his voice steady.

”Why are the Envoys from the Lost Continent here in Valora?”

He narrowed his eyes.

”I believe itʼs related to our upcoming journey there in a few months… but something tells me thereʼs more to this than meets the eye.”

Aurelia met his gaze, her expression unreadable.

For a moment, there was only silence.

Then—she sighed.

”Youʼre right.”

She glanced toward the portal, her eyes dark with contemplation.

”Officially, theyʼre here to oversee the selection process for those who will journey to the Lost Continent.”

Her voice lowered slightly.

”But unofficially… their arrival is far more complicated.”

Maxʼs gaze sharpened. ”How so?”
