People are Fighting to Break Their Diaries! They Forced Me to Eat Soft Food

20: Chapter 20: Full of Surprises! The Disliked Little Yanzi【Seven Days of Cultivation Experience for the Eight Trigrams Chasing Lightning Steps】

The Diary only transmitted a short piece of information.

But Xiao Ting felt it was not simple at all; in an instant, countless images appeared in his mind, and his body was also undergoing changes.

”Heaven (Qian), Earth (Kun), Wind (Xun), Thunder (Zhen), Water (Kan), Fire (Li), Mountain (Gen), Lake (Dui).”

”Arranged by Yin and Yang, deducing nature, based on the Eight Trigrams, body like thunder, moving like lightning...”

First was a great deal of understanding and insight into the Dou Technique, the Eight Trigrams Chasing Lightning Steps.

Following that was the memory of seven days of non-stop cultivation of the Eight Trigrams Chasing Lightning Steps, and only memories related to this.

It was not just insights; it included muscle memory, the physical changes from cultivating this Dou Technique, the circulation path of Fighting Qi in the meridians, and the tempering effects, all perfectly presented.

As everyone knows, there are twelve hours in a day. Considering the endurance of the meridians and the consumption of Fighting Qi and mental energy, being able to spend four hours cultivating a Dou Technique is already considered very diligent.

The seven days of cultivation experience for the Eight Trigrams Chasing Lightning Steps provided by the Diary was comparable to, or even exceeded, the effects of twenty-one days of normal cultivation.

Xiao Ting was extremely satisfied with the Plane Blessing he received today.

”With this type of blessing, I don’t need to worry about the problem of biting off more than I can chew.”

”I can even go beyond Fire and Thunder attribute Dou Techniques and practice Wind or Wood attribute ones as well.”

For cultivators on the Fighting Qi Continent, their Fighting Qi attribute is determined at birth, which is said to be related to the soul.

But this does not mean that a cultivator cannot practice Dou Techniques with attributes different from their own; a typical example is Xiao Yan practicing the Three Thousand Lightning Movement.

It’s just that cultivating techniques of one’s own attribute yields twice the result with half the effort, while cultivating other attributes yields half the result with twice the effort; any normal person would know how to choose.

But Xiao Ting would not have this concern. He only needed to acquire the Dou Techniques he was interested in, and he could rely on the Plane Blessing to cultivate them and improve his mastery.

As for himself, he would still focus on cultivating Fire and Thunder attribute Dou Techniques in his daily life.

”Continue cultivating, and tomorrow I’ll give Senior Yao Lao a surprise.”

Feeling that he had already practiced the Eight Trigrams Chasing Lightning Steps to a small level of success, Xiao Ting had no desire to sleep at all.

Shouldn’t he strike while the iron is hot and continue to immerse himself in cultivation?

Operating the Thunder Flame Precious Tome, Fighting Qi flowed through his meridians.

Xiao Ting had an illusion that his cultivation speed seemed to have improved slightly compared to before receiving the Plane Blessing.

”It’s not an illusion!”

As the sunlight broke through the dawn, morning arrived.

In a secret room in a small courtyard of the Xiao Family, Xiao Ting, who had been cultivating all night, had Fighting Qi surging around him.

When all this Fighting Qi returned to his Dantian, a drop of solidified liquid appeared in the Qi vortex, and he successfully advanced from a one-star Dou Master to a two-star Dou Master!

”Cultivating Dou Techniques can also assist in cultivation.”

Xiao Ting opened his eyes, flicked his hands which had been formed into a cultivation mudra, and slowly stood up.

He hadn’t slept all night, but he felt refreshed, even more comfortable than after a good sleep.

He walked out of the secret room, washed up, and went to the kitchen to fry a few dough sticks and prepare a serving of soy milk to deliver to Xun’er: ”Xun’er, starting today, I will be following Brother Yan to cultivate under the guidance of Senior Yao Lao. Do you want to join us?”

He believed Yao Lao wouldn’t mind being a teacher for Xun’er for a few days.

There were many people in the Ancient Clan stronger than Yao Lao, but among those who would teach Xun’er now, absolutely none could teach as well as Yao Lao.

”Brother Xiao Ting should just go yourself.” Xun’er ate the dough stick gracefully, a gentle smile on her face: ”Xun’er’s cultivation method is special, so I don’t need a teacher for the time being.”

”Alright.” Xiao Ting looked up at the sky and smiled: ”I’ll come find you after I finish cultivating.”

Bidding farewell to Xun’er, Xiao Ting took another breakfast he had prepared in advance and went to find Xiao Yan.

”Soy milk, dough sticks, and steamed buns.” Xiao Yan smiled: ”Good brother, you’re still the one who thinks of your brother.”

However, after eating the dough stick and finding it a bit cold, he immediately feigned grievance: ”Brother Ting, the bond has faded. You must have delivered to Xun’er first before coming to your brother.”

”It’s not like I should have delivered to you first, Brother Yan, and let Xun’er eat cold food, right?” Xiao Ting said without changing his expression: ”You’re lucky to have something to eat.”

”Senior Yao Lao is a soul body right now; he couldn’t eat even if he wanted to.”

Yao Lao: ?

”Hey, you don’t say.” Xiao Yan stuffed the dough stick into his mouth and laughed: ”This happiness is truly created by comparison.”

Yao Lao: !

Unfilial disciples, wait and see how I specially train you later.

A quarter of an hour later, Xiao Yan and Xiao Ting went together to the back mountain of the Xiao Family and found an open and secluded place.

Yao Lao manifested his soul body, stroked his illusory beard, and said: ”Little Yanzi, you don’t need to rush to continue your previous cultivation.”

”There is a lot of knowledge regarding this Dou Technique, the Eight Trigrams Chasing Lightning Steps, that you can also learn.”

”It will come in handy in the future when learning other Dou Techniques, secret techniques, or even alchemy.”

Hearing this, Xiao Yan restrained his smile, and his expression became serious.

Xiao Ting sat down beside him, also looking at Yao Lao seriously.

”The Eight Trigrams...”

Yao Lao began to explain to the two the theories and common knowledge related to the Eight Trigrams mentioned in the Dou Technique.

Xiao Yan listened very carefully, but the more he listened, the stranger his expression became.

After Yao Lao finished explaining a part, he asked: ”Is there anything you don’t understand?”

Xiao Yan couldn’t wait to ask: ”Teacher, who created these Eight Trigrams? When did they start to spread, and do you know where the source is?”

Yao Lao’s expression froze, and his expression was quite something: ”...”

Xiao Ting almost laughed out loud, thinking Xiao Yan looked very much like a husky right now.

Yao Lao was asking you to understand the Eight Trigrams, not for you to gossip about them.

However, he could understand Xiao Yan’s thoughts.

These Eight Trigrams, in his previous life, were said to have been created by Fuxi observing all things in heaven and earth.

It was the highest achievement of the spiritual thinking of the ancestors of Yan and Huang, and the first peak and milestone of the Yan and Huang civilization.

Xiao Yan probably felt that the Fighting Qi Continent had some connection with the world before he transmigrated.

”The history of the Eight Trigrams is at least ten thousand years old; I don’t know about these things you mentioned either.” Suppressing the urge to knock Xiao Yan on the head, Yao Lao said: ”When you are strong enough in the future, you can go and trace the ancient sages.”

”Teacher, you don’t know either?” Xiao Yan was a bit disappointed, but not too surprised.

Xiao Ting found this scene quite interesting, so he recorded it in the Diary exactly as it was, using beautiful words and vivid imagery.

This also included the Eight Trigrams knowledge taught by Yao Lao, as well as the information related to the Eight Trigrams in his memory.

The women: ”...”

Xiao Ting’s diary..

Turned out to be all about Xiao Yan.

If you weren’t cousins, one would think you had some special fetish.

”Alright, go cultivate on your own.”

After finishing the popular science lesson, Yao Lao shooed Xiao Yan away with some disdain and began to provide one-on-one guidance to Xiao Ting on cultivating the Eight Trigrams Chasing Lightning Steps.

”This kid Ting, his comprehension is also above Little Yanzi’s.”

A quarter of an hour later, seeing that Xiao Ting had initially mastered how to use the Eight Trigrams Chasing Lightning Steps, a trace of admiration flashed in Yao Lao’s eyes.

Subsequently, Yao Lao took out a ruler-shaped object from the bone flame ring, smiled, and said: ”Not bad, not bad, but you are still quite a distance away from truly entering the door.”

”If you want to master a good movement technique, you must first learn to take a beating and dodge. Let’s officially begin.”

In the distance, Xiao Yan gave Xiao Ting a sympathetic look; the unscrupulous teacher was preparing to ”abuse his power for personal vendetta.”

However, just one hour later, the faces of Yao Lao and Xiao Yan were occupied by a look of shock.

”Is this really your first time cultivating the Eight Trigrams Chasing Lightning Steps today?”
