I Started As the Qin Family Patriarch and Was Bound to the Selection System

Subduing Black South SkyThe white smoke dissipated, and Qin Yi’s figure appeared here.

Qin Yi was investigating the black Evil Qi over the Endless Sea Region and discovered that the black Evil Qi was emanating from a certain location, so he headed toward the area where the black Evil Qi was densest.

Just as he arrived here and saw the Elders of the Heavenly Thunder Hall in danger, Qin Yi struck to block the Flood Dragon phantom.

The Great Elder of Heavenly Thunder Palace cupped his hands and hurriedly said, ”Many thanks to Patriarch Qin for saving our lives.”

The other six Elders also expressed their gratitude one after another.

Hei Nantian’s eyes were filled with fear; being able to easily block his Flood Dragon Breaking the Void, the strength of the person before him was absolutely terrifyingly strong.

Qin Yi nodded and asked, ”What happened here? Why does this Black-Robed Man want to kill you all?”

The Great Elder of Heavenly Thunder Palace said, ”Patriarch Qin, this Black-Robed Man is Hei Nantian, the Clan Chief of the Black Scaled Flood Dragon Clan. We wanted to capture him to exchange for a reward from the Black Scaled Flood Dragon Clan.”

Qin Yi looked surprised and asked in astonishment, ”You are the Black Scaled Clan Chief Hei Nantian? I heard you stole the Family’s supreme treasure. I wonder if that is true or false.”

Hei Nantian’s eyes were filled with resentment, and he angrily said, ”It is impossible for me to have stolen the Family’s supreme treasure. It was my own younger brother, Hei Yantian, and the Grand Elder of the Family who coveted the Family’s supreme treasure and joined forces to ambush me.”

”Not only did they beat me into serious injury, but they also framed me, wanting to completely eliminate me.”

At this moment, the System’s voice sounded.

”Ding, detected a trace of Bloodline of the ancient Divine Beast Black Dragon within Hei Nantian’s body.”

Option 1: Subdue Hei Nantian as the Qin Family’s clan-protecting divine beast. Reward the Host with the Origin of the Purple Gold Divine Dragon Bloodline. (Immortal King Level Dragon Clan Bloodline.)

Option 2: Capture Hei Nantian and hand him over to the Black Scaled Flood Dragon Clan.

Reward the Host with a First Level True Immortal Realm clan-protecting divine beast, the Void Winged Dragon. (The Void Winged Dragon Bloodline is an Immortal Monarch Grade Dragon Clan Bloodline.)

Qin Yi decided, ”I choose Option 1.”

Qin Yi said in surprise, ”Hei Nantian, if that is the case, then you were framed!”

Hei Nantian gritted his teeth and said, ”Once I recover my strength in the future, I will definitely kill both Hei Yantian and the Grand Elder.”

Qin Yi asked, ”In your current state, any ordinary Martial God could kill you.”

”Besides, even if you are lucky enough to recover your cultivation, can you really kill two Ninth Level Martial Emperor powerhouses?”

Hei Nantian remained silent. Not to mention whether he could escape from Qin Yi’s hands, even if he recovered his cultivation in the future, it would be very difficult to kill a Ninth Level Martial Emperor powerhouse, let alone deal with two at the same time.

Qin Yi said, ”Now I will give you a chance for revenge, on the condition that you become the clan-protecting Yao Beast for my Qin Family.”

Hei Nantian asked in surprise, ”The condition is just that simple?”

Becoming a clan-protecting Yao Beast means protecting the safety of the Family, while the Family is responsible for providing resources for the Yao Beast to Cultivate. It is an equal contract, and the status of the clan-protecting Yao Beast in the Family is not low.

Qin Yi smiled and said, ”It is that simple, and I will also bestow an Opportunity upon you.”

Hei Nantian decided, ”Fine, I am willing to become the Qin Family’s clan-protecting Yao Beast.”

Qin Yi’s strength was greater than his own; becoming the Qin Family’s clan-protecting Yao Beast was not a loss, and most importantly, he would be able to take revenge.

Qin Yi condensed the clan-protecting contract, and a circular ray of light flew toward Hei Nantian.

Hei Nantian immediately injected his Soul Power into it, signing the clan-protecting contract.

In an instant, Qin Yi had a connection with Hei Nantian in his mind. From now on, Hei Nantian was the Qin Family’s clan-protecting divine beast.

At this moment, the System’s voice sounded.

”Ding, Hei Nantian has become the Host’s Family Divine Beast. Selection complete, reward has been issued.”

Qin Yi silently thought, ”System, extract the Origin of the Purple Gold Divine Dragon Bloodline.”

A purple-gold ball of light appeared in Qin Yi’s hand, emitting a dense Dragon might from within.

Qin Yi flipped his hand and waved it, saying, ”Hei Nantian, this is the Purple Gold Divine Dragon Bloodline, which can improve the Rank of the Bloodline within your body. You should perform the Fusion now.”

Feeling the dense Dragon Clan Bloodline emitted by the light ball in his hand, Hei Nantian’s eyes were excited, and he thanked him, ”Many thanks, Patriarch.”

Intuition told Hei Nantian that as long as he fused with the Purple Gold Divine Dragon Bloodline in his hand, he would absolutely undergo a rebirth, and his talent for Cultivate would be greatly improved.

Then, Hei Nantian quickly sat cross-legged in the air, his body shrouded in purple-gold light, and began the Fusion of the Origin of the Purple Gold Divine Dragon Bloodline.

The Elders of the Heavenly Thunder Hall looked on with envy. Now, Hei Nantian had not only become the Qin Family’s clan-protecting divine beast but had also received a huge Opportunity; his future achievements would be absolutely unimaginable.

The Great Elder of Heavenly Thunder Palace said with concern, ”Patriarch Qin, our Hall Master discovered that the black Evil Qi originated from the Black Scaled Flood Dragon Clan territory, so he went alone to investigate.”

”Now that we know Clan Chief Hei Nantian was framed, perhaps the Black Scaled Flood Dragon Clan has some unspeakable secret.”

Qin Yi nodded and said, ”The black Evil Qi is indeed somewhat suspicious. After Hei Nantian finishes absorbing the Bloodline energy, we will know exactly what happened in the Black Scaled clan territory once we ask.”

Suddenly, a loud Dragon roar sounded, resounding throughout this sea region.

It could be seen that the injuries on Hei Nantian’s body were rapidly recovering, his skin turned purple-gold, the Dragon horns on his head grew twice as large, and their color changed from black to purple-gold.

The Dragon tail behind him also grew twice as large, its color turned purple-gold, and his cultivation was also constantly rising, increasing from the Martial Emperor Ninth Level Realm to the True Immortal Realm Second Layer.

The Elders of the Heavenly Thunder Hall were shocked and could not help but think to themselves:

Just by fusing with a ball of light, Hei Nantian broke through to the True Immortal Realm Second Layer. What kind of Heaven-Defying Opportunity was in this light ball to be able to make Hei Nantian improve so much?

Hei Nantian opened his eyes and said joyfully, ”Many thanks to the Patriarch for bestowing upon me this supreme Opportunity.”

After the Fusion of the Bloodline, Hei Nantian learned of the Heaven-Defying nature of the Purple Gold Divine Dragon Bloodline; it was something that could allow him to break through to the Immortal King Realm.

At the same time, he made up his mind to definitely protect the Qin Family well.

The Great Elder of Heavenly Thunder Palace wore a smile and apologized, ”Congratulations, Senior, on breaking through to the True Immortal Realm. It was our fault just now; we hope Senior will not hold it against us.”

The other Elders also apologized one after another to eliminate Hei Nantian’s resentment toward them.

Hei Nantian gave a cold snort and said, ”I will not hold what happened just now against you.”

Now that Hei Nantian had broken through to the True Immortal Realm, he was in a great mood. If it weren’t for them blocking him, he would never have met Qin Yi and would not have broken through to the True Immortal Realm.

The Elders of the Heavenly Thunder Hall breathed a long sigh of relief; they did not need to worry about Hei Nantian’s revenge anymore.

Qin Yi asked, ”Hei Nantian, what exactly happened in your clan territory? Why did the black Evil Qi on the sea surface come from your Black Scaled clan territory?”

Hei Nantian’s eyes were filled with anger as he said, ”Patriarch, this Evil Qi should originate from within the ancestral grounds of the Black Scaled Flood Dragon Clan. A supreme treasure is sealed inside the ancestral grounds.”

”That was left behind by our founding ancestor. According to records, our founding ancestor once followed a great figure, and that supreme treasure was that great figure’s weapon.”

”We, the Black Scaled Flood Dragons, have an ancestral teaching to guard that supreme treasure for generations to come; no one is allowed to open the Seal.”

”My own younger brother and the Grand Elder coveted that supreme treasure and violated the ancestral teaching, joining forces to ambush me. Although I escaped with my life, the key to the Seal of the supreme treasure was also snatched away by them.”

”Shortly after I escaped, the black Evil Qi permeated the Endless Sea Region. This Evil Qi can affect the consciousness of Yao Beasts. I reckon this is also the reason why our founding ancestor did not want us to open the Seal.”
