I Started As the Qin Family Patriarch and Was Bound to the Selection System

Kaoshan SectThe Phantom Wolf King said solemnly, ”Clan Chief, when I returned, the Young Lord was in the Sect undergoing closed-door Cultivation. At that time, the Young Lord was training in Qingzhou and met a Martial Emperor First Level Realm Powerhouse who claimed to be the Kaoshan Sect Grand Elder.”

”Seeing the Young Lord’s extraordinary talent, he accepted the Young Lord as a Kaoshan Sect Disciple. The Young Lord and I were then brought into the Kaoshan Sect.”

”Inside the Sect, the Young Lord displayed extremely strong Cultivation talent, Breaking through from the Martial King Realm to Martial Emperor Fifth Level in just a few months, shocking the entire Sect.”

”Recently, the Kaoshan Sect held a Young Lord Selection Ceremony, choosing the most outstanding Disciple to be the Young Sect Master.”

”However, I heard from the Sect Grand Elder that no matter how outstanding the Young Lord is, he will not be appointed as the Young Sect Master.”

Qin Yi frowned and asked, ”Wolf King, why do you say that no matter how outstanding Yan’er is, he won’t be appointed as the Young Sect Master?”

The Phantom Wolf King took a deep breath and said, ”Because of the Kaoshan Sect’s only Grand Elder, who has a Martial Emperor Second Level cultivation.”

”He is bullying the Young Lord because he lacks backing, and wants to establish his grandson as the Sect’s Young Sect Master.”

Hearing this, Qin Yi’s expression turned cold, and he asked, ”Don’t the Kaoshan Sect higher-ups manage this? Letting that Grand Elder do as he pleases?”

The Phantom Wolf King replied, ”The Kaoshan Sect Sect Master considers that the Grand Elder is a Martial Emperor Second Level Powerhouse, and his grandson’s Cultivation talent is not weak. Thus, he chose to turn a blind eye and tacitly approved the Grand Elder’s choice.”

”Because the Sect Grand Elder’s own strength is insufficient, he is powerless to help the Young Lord. As for the other Elders, they certainly wouldn’t offend the Grand Elder, this Powerhouse, for the sake of the Young Lord.”

At this moment, the System’s voice rang out.

”Ding, detecting that the Host’s son is receiving unfair treatment in the Sect.”

Option One: Who says Qin Yan has no powerful force backing him? Am I, Qin Yi, not powerful enough? Forcefully descend upon the Kaoshan Sect, support Qin Yan, and make Qin Yan the Young Sect Master.

Reward: Host’s cultivation increases by one minor Realm.

Option Two: What is a Kaoshan Sect Young Sect Master? Is it better than being the Young Lord of my Qin Family? If they dare to look down on Qin Yan, this Sect is not worth staying in. Take Qin Yan back to the Qin Family to be the Young Lord.

Reward: Host’s cultivation increases by one minor Realm.

Qin Yi immediately decided, ”I choose Option Two.”

Qin Yi said coldly, ”Wolf King, let us head to the Kaoshan Sect to support Yan’er.”

The Phantom Wolf King excitedly said, ”Understood, Clan Chief.”

Subsequently, the Purple Lightning Palace appeared in the sky, with the Nine-Headed Purple Lightning Flood Dragon in front of the palace. Every Flood Dragon emitted a magnificent Aura.

The Phantom Wolf King looked shocked and said, ”Clan Chief, this... this Flood Dragon is actually a Martial God Realm Yao Beast.”

Qin Yi nodded and said, ”That’s right. Let’s go up.”

Qin Yi and the Phantom Wolf King entered the palace, one after the other.

”Roar!”

The Purple Lightning Flood Dragon roared, its body twisting and moving as it flew towards the Kaoshan Sect... Inside the Kaoshan Sect, voices were currently clamoring, and the atmosphere was extraordinarily lively. Today was the day of the Kaoshan Sect Young Sect Master selection.

Not only were all the people within the Kaoshan Sect required to attend, but even some nearby Sects were invited to come and observe.

On the VIP Platform, Ling Yi, dressed in Sect Master Attire, stood up and said in a deep voice, ”Welcome to the various Sects who have come today to participate in our Kaoshan Sect Young Sect Master Selection Ceremony.”

The Spirit Beast Sect Leader smiled slightly and said, ”Sect Master Ling is too polite. We also want to witness the Genius of your esteemed Sect.”

The Azure Dragon Sect Master echoed, ”We’ve long heard that a Genius possessing a Holy Body has appeared in the Kaoshan Sect. Sect Master Ling, please announce the start quickly!”

Some smaller Sects also chimed in, ”That’s right, Sect Master Ling, please announce the start quickly. We can’t wait.”

”...”

Ling Yi scanned the Fighting Stage below and announced loudly, ”The Young Sect Master selection officially begins now. Disciples who signed up for the selection, please start ascending the stage for the competition.”

Following Ling Yi’s announcement, eighteen Disciples participating in the selection successively ascended the stage for the competition, creating an exceptionally lively scene.

As time passed, the final match was between Qin Yan and Du Yufei, who was dressed in Brocade Robes.

Du Yufei was the grandson of the Sect Grand Elder Du Luo, possessing a cultivation of the Ninth Layer Martial Emperor Realm.

Du Yufei looked smug and said, ”Qin Yan, your talent is indeed strong, but the position of Young Sect Master must be mine. If you know what’s good for you, step down quickly.”

Qin Yan, dressed in Black Robes, stated firmly, ”That’s not necessarily true. Although your cultivation is stronger than mine, I am not without the strength to fight.”

As he spoke, the cultivation of the Martial Emperor Sixth Level Realm emanated from Qin Yan’s body.

Du Yufei said in surprise, ”You actually Broke through the Realm again? Fine, I’ll make you give up completely.”

Saying this, his Aura manifested, and he launched an attack towards Qin Yan.

On the VIP Platform.

The Spirit Beast Sect Leader said enviously, ”Sect Master Ling, your Sect’s luck is truly good to encounter a Genius possessing a Holy Body.”

”Presumably, the position of Young Sect Master belongs to none other than Qin Yan.”

Ling Yi gave an awkward laugh and said, ”It is true that Qin Yan possesses a Holy Body, but Du Yufei’s talent is not weak either. It is still uncertain who the Young Sect Master will be.”

Du Luo, standing next to Ling Yi, dressed in Gray Robes with a head full of white hair, spoke:

”Qin Yan’s talent is acceptable, but he comes from Qingzhou and lacks the support of a powerful force, making him unsuitable to be our Sect’s Young Sect Master. We could, however, groom him into a high-level Sect official.”

The Azure Dragon Sect Master said with a smile, ”Du Yufei’s talent is not weak, and he has the support of a Martial Emperor Second Level Powerhouse. I think it would be more beneficial for the Kaoshan Sect if Du Yufei became the Young Sect Master.”

The Azure Dragon Sect Master thought to himself: Anyone can become the Kaoshan Sect Master; it doesn’t concern my Sect anyway. Saying this might leave a good impression on Du Luo.

Sure enough, upon hearing the Azure Dragon Sect Master say this, Du Luo was beaming with smiles and extremely happy inside.

The Spirit Beast Sect Leader asked, ”Elder Du, how can you be sure that Qin Yan has no backing? You should know that the Qin Family, which has been causing a commotion recently, also comes from Qingzhou.”

Du Luo frowned and said displeasedly, ”We have already investigated. The strongest person in the Family behind Qin Yan is a Martial Ancestor Cultivator.”

Martial Ancestor Cultivators are countless in the Kaoshan Sect, so Du Luo was not afraid of offending the Family behind Qin Yan at all.

Hearing this, the Spirit Beast Sect Leader stopped speaking and looked towards the Fighting Stage below.

Not long after.

On the Fighting Stage, Qin Yi had some injuries and said excitedly, ”Du Yufei, you lost.”

Du Yufei, lying on the ground, was covered in wounds, having suffered more serious injuries than Qin Yi. He muttered in disbelief, ”I actually lost? Is the Holy Body really that formidable?”

Hiss!

Seeing this scene, the surrounding Elders and Disciples grew excited and spoke one after another:

”Qin Yan actually defeated Senior Brother Du! That’s a difference of three minor Realms! It’s incredible.”

”That’s right, Qin Yan’s strength is too terrifying. You must know that Senior Brother Du is also a Genius capable of fighting a Martial Ancestor Cultivator.”

”Now that Qin Yan has defeated Senior Brother Du, doesn’t that mean the position of Young Sect Master belongs to Qin Yan?”

Ling Yi’s expression was complicated. He said, ”The Young Sect Master selection ends here. I announce that the position of Young Sect Master belongs to Du Yufei.”
