I Started by Worshipping the Wrong Peak. It Turns Out That I am Invincible Just by Refining Pills?

11: The competition has begun, and no one is optimistic about me?“Are you sure you want to compete with me in Alchemy?!”

Lin Yan’s seemingly insignificant words instantly ignited the emotions of the surrounding crowd.

The reason was Lin Yan’s displayed confidence, as if he was telling everyone, ‘If you compete with me in Alchemy, you’re hitting a steel plate!’

Even Lord Wu, who had maintained a graceful demeanor, almost lost his composure due to Lin Yan’s overly confident expression.

He could only forcefully suppress his inner displeasure, his expression slightly gloomy as he said,

“Since that’s the case, then please, let’s head to the special Alchemy competition venue on the plaza!”

As soon as he finished speaking, Lord Wu turned around and rushed towards the plaza.

Dan Saint City’s plaza has many Alchemy platforms built specifically for such situations.

“Junior Brother, are you confident?”

“If you’re not confident, there’s no need to pay attention to the people from the Martial King Manor; our Qingyun Sect doesn’t even put the Martial King Manor in its eyes!”

Liu Mei watched Lord Wu’s retreating back, then looked at Lin Yan beside her, asking with concern.

Lord Wu clearly looked like he was in the Congenital Realm, and his visit here was undoubtedly for a Second-Grade Alchemist Rank assessment.

And her Junior Brother, who had only joined the Pill Hall for half a month, becoming a First-Grade Alchemist was already a display of a super Genius; how could he compete with Lord Wu, who had the level of a Second-Grade Alchemist?

However, regarding Liu Mei’s concern, Lin Yan smiled and shook his head, saying,

“Heh heh, Senior Sister Liu, you must have full confidence in your Junior Brother!”

Immediately after, Lin Yan followed, appearing completely confident of victory.

“It seems that refining a perfect-grade Medicinal Pill has indeed made Junior Brother’s confidence swell infinitely!”

Leaving aside that a perfect-grade Medicinal Pill cannot be successfully refined every time, even if an Innate-grade perfect Body Tempering Pill is refined, that only indicates great Alchemy potential, but it doesn’t represent the current Alchemy level.

With this thought, Liu Mei sighed softly and followed closely.

“I hope Junior Brother can learn a lesson from this failure!”

On the plaza of Dan Saint City, a dense crowd had already gathered due to the news of Lin Yan and the Martial King Manor’s competition in Alchemy, almost completely surrounding the entire plaza.

“I heard that this Lord Wu already has the level of a Second-Grade Alchemist, while the young man competing with him is only at the Qi Refining level of cultivation, clearly still a First-Grade Alchemist. What’s there to even compete for?”

“Heh heh, I think that young man is just putting on a show, trying to impress the beautiful young woman beside him. Young people, you know, it’s normal! Just gain some experience and lessons.”

“Heh heh, but in this way, this young man has offended this Lord Wu!”

“……”

And just as the crowd here was discussing the two on the stage, in the distance, at the top of a hundred-zhang tall giant tower, two white-robed Elders were watching this scene with interest.

“Heh heh, this Wu Heng was already able to refine Intermediate Second-Grade Medicinal Pills half a year ago. After half a year, with his excellent Alchemy talent, he must already be able to refine Advanced Second-Grade Medicinal Pills!”

“Wu Heng’s talent is indeed good. If nothing unexpected happens, he will definitely achieve a good ranking in the Northern Realm Dao of Alchemy Competition three months later!”

“Heh heh, the Martial King Manor has indeed produced a good seedling this time!”

“As for the young man competing with him, he looks very unfamiliar. However, being able to come for an Alchemist Rank assessment at such a young age, he should also have good talent in Alchemy!”

“It’s just a pity that young people are too impetuous; this time, he will probably have to learn a lesson!”

The two were clearly high-ranking officials of the Great Yan Dynasty’s Alchemist Association, but they favored Wu Heng, the Congenital Realm cultivator from the Martial King Manor, even more.

At the same time, on the plaza.

Lin Yan and Wu Heng had already chosen their respective Alchemy platforms, preparing to begin the competition under the gaze of the crowd below.

“Since the two competitors have different Alchemist Ranks, the competition rules will be determined by the final quality of the Medicinal Pills refined by the two!”

“Among the two, regardless of the Medicinal Pill’s grade, whoever refines a Medicinal Pill of higher quality will win this competition!”

Just as Lin Yan and Wu Heng were ready, an Elder suddenly appeared on the plaza, announcing the competition rules to the crowd.

This person was specifically responsible for such Alchemy competitions at the Alchemist Association, so the competition results were highly authoritative.

“Oh my, isn’t this too unfair? Such rules clearly give Wu Heng a huge advantage!”

“Exactly! Wu Heng’s Alchemy level has long entered the Second-Grade Ranks, and he can even refine Advanced Second-Grade Medicinal Pills. If he refines a First-Grade Medicinal Pill in this competition, wouldn’t that be a top-grade Medicinal Pill? Isn’t that a sure win?”

“Sigh, this is the benefit of background and power; even the Elders of the Alchemist Association will actively show favor to him!”

“This young brother, however, has become the scapegoat. He shouldn’t have rashly agreed to this competition. With his Qi Refining Realm cultivation, his Alchemy level is at most First-Grade. How can he be Wu Heng’s opponent?”

“……”

Upon hearing such competition rules, the crowd around the plaza began discussing animatedly, most of them casting sympathetic glances at Lin Yan.

“If both of you are ready, please begin directly!”

However, the Elder from the Alchemist Association paid no attention to the reactions of the surrounding crowd and directly announced the start of the competition.

“Heh heh, Young Master Lin Yan, it seems even heaven favors me!”

Opposite, Wu Heng waved his hand, directly drawing out a wisp of Earth Fire and beginning to refine his most proficient Medicinal Pill. His face, as he looked at Lin Yan, was filled with a triumphant smile.

At the same time, in the crowd, Liu Mei’s pretty face was already filled with a warm anger, and she looked at the Elder of the Alchemist Association with unfriendly eyes.

If not for her apprehension of the Alchemist Association’s background, she would have gone forward to argue according to her nature.

In front of the Alchemy platform, Lin Yan heard Wu Heng’s confident words from across and merely showed a faint smile at the corner of his mouth, without making any response.

Buzz!

Immediately after, Lin Yan skillfully drew out the Earth Fire, then threw spiritual materials into the Earth Fire, beginning to melt the medicinal liquid.

However, the next moment, around the plaza, the crowd looked at Lin Yan’s actions with shocked expressions.
