Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 3072: Chapter 3070: Master and Servant Must Not Be Mixed Together

Cohen went to bed early and woke up early the next day. As he looked at the dim sky, he had a moment of confusion.

After the confusion, he quickly regained clarity. He was in another country now, not in a familiar place, so he couldn’t be lazy.

He got up quickly, dressed, and practiced the moves taught by Xue Ling before stepping out of his room.

”Good morning, young master.” Dam was the first to see Cohen stepping out of the room and greeted him.

”Good morning, Dam.” Cohen responded with a greeting.

”Good morning, young master.” Others saw Cohen coming and greeted him one by one.

”Good morning, everyone. You’ve worked hard.” Cohen was taught at Qin Xue’s house not to be oblivious to kindness.

Even though they were paid for their work, respect for people was essential, so he would treat them well. As long as they remained loyal, he wouldn’t do anything untoward, because this would make them more devoted to their work, as said by Xue Ling.

In his heart, Xue Ling was a mentor, and whatever it said, he would keep it in mind.

Thus, concerning matters like these, he wouldn’t say much, nor fear what others might say.

”Young master, are you going out?” Dam looked at Cohen’s stance, which seemed like he was going out.

”No, I just want to run in the garden.” Cohen was unfamiliar with the place; going out would be asking for trouble.

”Alright, then be careful yourself. I’ll have Jina take you.” Dam found the maid named Jina and let her take Cohen to the back garden.

If he didn’t go out, generally there wouldn’t be any danger, as there were bodyguards within the estate, and some keeping watch at the sides.

Just how to explain this to Cohen was tricky. Since there was no way to explain, he didn’t say anything, letting Cohen discover it on his own.

Precisely because of this, it took Cohen a long time to realize how strict the estate was.

And he lived in such a solemn estate, gradually adapting to a life that belonged to him.

”Young master, you can run now, I’ll be waiting nearby. Just call if you need anything.” Jina said to Cohen after bringing him to the back garden.

The estate had front and back gardens, as well as other grounds, but Cohen said he wanted to run in the garden, so she didn’t take him to the gym.

At such times, Cohen didn’t know there was a gym in the house, otherwise, he wouldn’t have thought about running here.

After all, there was a different distinction; he didn’t want to do it this way.

But now it’s too late for anything; he looked around here, and luckily the path was wide enough for him to exercise.

”Okay, go on with your work, I’ll handle it myself.” Cohen nodded in response.

It wasn’t that he didn’t want company, but he knew that servants and masters shouldn’t mix together. They shouldn’t be like Nangong Beiying and the four bodyguards, or else it would harm them, not help them.

Cohen understood clearly, so he didn’t force it, but let her wait nearby.

Cohen didn’t want it this way, but now he realizes how unfair this master-servant distinction is.

However, it was much better than being sold off repeatedly before; at least here they could see their families, and they got paid, even if sometimes they got scolded, they wouldn’t be left homeless, and this was the best outcome.

Now that he was back, he wasn’t at ease in his heart, but he must strive to adapt, and that’s the most important thing he needed to do now.
