Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 3069: Chapter 3067: Father

”Dam, you should go down and take care of things. I will personally teach him.” John Kex had just returned and overheard the butler instructing his newly found son on dining etiquette.

It was difficult for Dam; he only knew a little because he had learned a bit of the language while accompanying John in school. Who would have thought he would now have to use it to communicate with his son? Needless to say, he felt rather overwhelmed.

Let him take over, although his command of the language wasn’t perfect either, it was ten times better than Dam’s. Mostly everyone could understand him, so he was much stronger in this regard.

”Alright, Earl.” Dam exhaled a sigh of relief upon seeing his master return.

”Cohen, shall I teach you?” John Kex spoke slowly and carefully in a language that wasn’t fluent.

”Alright.” He wanted to say no.

But there was no other way. Upon arriving here, he understood his identity was significant; everyone at home had to listen to him, so he couldn’t refuse.

To better understand the situation here, he mustn’t be too passive. It was for this reason that in the past few days, he had been acclimating to the environment and gathering information.

He knew that this was the Earl’s manor, but as to how powerful the identity of an Earl was, he didn’t comprehend. However, seeing so many servants, he knew this place was not simple.

Cohen was very perceptive of timing and situations. Though he was young, he witnessed many things and wouldn’t be as naïve as others.

”Very good. Look here, we have many dining utensils when we eat, right? You need to first distinguish what each piece of cutlery is and what it’s used for. See, this is the main knife, this is the steak knife, and this is the dessert knife...” John carefully introduced each piece of dining cutlery and then allowed Cohen to eat.

”I know how to use them, thank you.” Cohen expressed his gratitude, but he couldn’t immediately bring himself to call him father.

”You should call me father. Here, I am your elder.” John Kex looked at Cohen sternly.

He hadn’t called him father once since returning, which was unacceptable.

In their family, such things were not permitted. To prevent him from being marginalized in the future, this must be corrected.

”Yes, father.” Cohen recalled Xue Ling’s advice to be obedient when he returned, ensure that most people liked him, so he could later assist his mother. For the sake of the woman who took him home, he must comply.

”Very good. Eat now. You’ll become accustomed to it after a few times.” John Kex nodded.

Their family was extensive. He was the legitimate heir to the family’s title, which made his brothers envious; hence, he wasn’t being harsh, but only hoping to prevent harm to this child upon returning home.

But the child was too young for him to divulge too much about these dark matters. He could only be strict with him initially, hoping he would adapt quickly; otherwise, he would not fare well in the future.

Being the eldest in the family, he couldn’t always intervene in minor issues, or it would prevent the child from assuming responsibility in the future. That would indeed harm him.

He contemplated arranging for someone to train him once he adapted, as only possessing skills would prevent others from easily taking his life.

Initially, he hadn’t intended to bring him back so soon. However, upon a friend’s visit, mentioning the child’s affairs and overhearing others as if there were malice towards him, he felt pressured to act swiftly and retrieve him.
