Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1887: Chapter 1881: Washing Up for the Child

After Ye Xuan finished bathing the child, he was completely soaked, looking down at his wet clothes, and then at his smiling daughter, feeling utterly helpless.

The child, who was about to go to sleep, turned into a frenzy upon seeing the water, like a duck going into a river, leaving him with no strength to resist. He just got soaked by the little girl.

”Alright, hurry up and get her dressed, or else you’ll be exhausted if she catches a cold.” Chu Molin had already bathed both children, and yet he still had one sitting in the water.

”Coming.” Ye Xuan picked up the bathrobe Qin Xue made and put it on his lap, then lifted his daughter. Who knew that the usually well-behaved child, upon realizing she was leaving the water, would desperately try to dive back in; she didn’t want to leave, she wanted to play in the water.

When a child throws a tantrum, it’s a considerable effort. Although Ye Xuan was stronger than the child, holding her on his lap, just looking at her aggrieved expression, he almost cried. She made him all wet, and he didn’t say anything, yet she was the one feeling wronged. If anyone should be crying, it should be him.

”Yuran, we can’t play in the water anymore; you see, your brothers have all finished washing, and you’re the last one. If you stay too long, you might get sick and have to get a shot, and that would hurt. Let’s get dressed and go to bed. Tomorrow, I’ll take you to see Grandpa, isn’t that exciting?” Ye Xuan explained to his daughter. He wasn’t quite used to this way of doing things. But now he was a father, and everything is a process; he had to learn more.

Qing Yuran, whether she understood or not, paused for a moment and then didn’t fuss anymore. Ye Xuan almost thanked heaven when he saw her finally quiet down.

Having taken care of this child for so many days, he never knew she could be so troublesome. Thinking about how Qing Zhu took care of the child alone these days, he realized being a woman is indeed not easy. No wonder his elder brother takes care to look after his sister-in-law; in his place, he would do the same.

”Yuran, be a good girl and don’t move. Daddy will dump the water and come back to hold you, alright?” Ye Xuan looked at the large basin of water, looking at his daughter in some difficulty. How was he going to get it out?

”Take the child to Xue’er; she and Xue Ling are over there watching the children.” Chu Molin came over to fetch water, and upon hearing his dilemma, offered a suggestion. He couldn’t possibly handle the child all by himself, could he? Xue’er just wanted him to experience the difficulty of a woman’s work and didn’t say she wouldn’t help with the child, right?

”Alright.” Ye Xuan, upon hearing this, was moved to the brink of tears. Finally, someone was watching the kid, or else how would he go freshen up later? He couldn’t take his daughter in and watch him bathe, could he?

”Once the child is asleep, you can go wash up.” Qin Xue heard what he said, smiled, and then told him what to do.

”That’s my only option.” Ye Xuan thought for a moment and agreed, but when would the child fall asleep?

Actually, no one could answer this question; none of them were mind-readers who knew what was going on in the child’s head, and children’s sleep patterns differ from adults. Nobody knew how long she would play, but Chu Molin thought Ye Xuan was pretty lucky.

”Don’t worry, this child is really easy to take care of.” Qin Xue assumed he was worried about the child crying at night.

It’s perfectly normal for a child who has just left their mother to cry, so there’s no need to worry.

”Alright, I understand. Thank you, sister-in-law.” Ye Xuan nodded; he knew the little girl was well-behaved and was just thinking about something else.𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

”Go do your thing, and then take her to bed. I think she’s tired.” Qin Xue pointed at Qing Yuran.
