Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1885: Chapter 1879: Leave the Daughter

”Everyone, be careful on your way back.” Qin Xue looked at the group preparing to leave at the door.

”Woman, I’ll take you home.” Ye Xuan stood beside Qing Zhu, holding his daughter.

”Better not, if you send us, this little girl will start crying again when we leave. We’ll just go back ourselves.” Qing Zhu refused. She had been scared enough at noon, and now it was late at night. If this child started crying and making noise again, it would disturb others from resting. No, he can’t send us.

”You two women with a kid, plus one who’s pregnant, I’m not at ease. I guarantee she won’t cry, or she can just stay with me tonight. Anyway, I have to take her to see Dad tomorrow.” Ye Xuan wanted Qing Zhu to stay, so his daughter wouldn’t be too far from him, and maybe tomorrow she’d change her mind and go see his father with him.

”You can keep the child, just send her back to me tomorrow afternoon. Dongfang Li, let’s go. By the way, you can ask Chu Molin about matters concerning the child. I heard from Xuexue that he manages all the kids at his home, and he’s experienced.” Qing Zhu didn’t see anything wrong with men taking care of children. On the contrary, she was happy for the man to help with the child.

”Are you really okay with letting me take her?” Ye Xuan was a bit stunned. Wasn’t this reversal a bit off?

”I’m okay. Right, let me get her clothes for you, so if she wets herself, you’ll have something to change into.” Qing Zhu said, putting down her bag and taking out two or three sets of children’s clothes for Ye Xuan.

”Haha.” Everyone laughed at Qing Zhu’s actions, even Nangong Beiying, who hadn’t been in the best mood today, smiled.

”Alright, I’ll take care of her.” Ye Xuan had already said it, and Qing Zhu agreed, so he couldn’t backtrack now.

”Don’t worry, Yuran is easy to take care of. As long as she’s hungry, just feed her. Once she’s full and has been to the restroom, she’ll sleep at night.” Yuran being easy to take care of was why Qing Zhu felt at ease, otherwise, she wouldn’t dare leave her daughter with an inexperienced person.

”What does she eat at night?” Ye Xuan remembered when his daughter hadn’t weaned yet, she’d eat from her mom. But since her mom wasn’t here, what would she eat when hungry?

”You’ll have to figure that out yourself. I can’t help you. You could cook some porridge and keep it warm on the stove. Give her some if she’s hungry. You could also ask Chu Molin what his son eats at night and feed her the same.” Qing Zhu spread her hands; she didn’t know what to do. She was going back to her own place, so she could only suggest ideas. As for implementation, it was up to him.

”Alright, I’ll seek advice from my big brother later.” Ye Xuan held his daughter in one hand and the clothes in the other.

”Yuran, give mommy a kiss, say goodbye to mommy.” Qing Zhu looked at her daughter, gave her a kiss, and waved her hand in a goodbye gesture.

”Good girl, don’t cry at night, okay? If you like your dad, be a good girl.” Qing Zhu was actually reluctant to part with her daughter, but she couldn’t accept this man. At least not now; as for what happens in the future, they would see then.

”Don’t worry, I have a car coming to pick us up. I’ll make sure Qing Zhu and the others get home safely.” Nangong Beiying spoke calmly.

”Thank you.” Ye Xuan’s expression finally softened upon hearing this.

”She’s my friend, no need to thank me, it’s what I should do.” Nangong Beiying nodded, then left with the others.

”Daughter, you better behave. This is our first time spending time alone together, so don’t cause trouble, okay?” Ye Xuan looked at his daughter with both joy and worry, speaking softly.
