Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1835: Chapter 1829: Providing Opportunities

”I only plan to stay for a few days and then leave; I won’t stay long. I still have some money now, and I want to rent a place first and find some handiwork to do. I have to raise the two children somehow.” Dongfang Li didn’t want to rely on her parents. She was ignorant before, and her actions were irreversible. Now that she’s in this state, she didn’t have the face to go back.

”What can you do? Do you have any special skills?” Qin Xue asked, hearing Dongfang Li say she’d do handiwork, prompting her to inquire.

”Actually, I can’t do much else, only embroidery and making tassels.” Dongfang Li blushed at this; she had lived this long and could do only this, nothing else. Initially, she couldn’t even cook.

Later, after she followed that man, she learned to cook for him. She didn’t know how many times she cut herself before she finally learned how to slice vegetables. After being scalded countless times, she learned how to cook.

However, she learned and learned, but that man was never home; not once did he eat the meals she made. Every time he returned, he only did the things between husband and wife. Once finished, he left.

The former Dongfang Li thought he was too busy with work. She didn’t complain or cause a scene because he let her give birth to Nannan.

During the days that followed, without his company, but with her son as company, he was cold to Nannan, but he still arranged for someone to teach him and shared some knowledge with him. So she wanted to have another child.

He didn’t want this initially, but she secretly conceived anyway. When he found out, his expression was frighteningly cold, but why couldn’t she understand at the time? If she had known earlier, would she have ended up like this now?

Until later, when she saw that scene with her own eyes, she realized that he could smile, that he had emotions.

Her heart hurt. She remembered bits and pieces after she met him, and her heart hurt so much she couldn’t breathe, even felt completely cold. She hid to the side, returned to her room, and tossed and turned all night on the bed, but eventually made a decision.

The next day, she took her children and a handful of belongings and left. She hadn’t expected Ah Qi to chase after her.

This made her feel a bit secretly happy, thinking he came with her in mind. It wasn’t until later she understood he hadn’t come at all; just Ah Qi brought some people along when he came. Suddenly, she realized many things weren’t just her wishful thinking. She needed to wake up.

But she’s heavily pregnant now, and with such a small child, she couldn’t go back to add trouble to her parents, at least not right now.

She didn’t have the face to go back in her current state. Therefore, she had to first arrange for herself, make her life better before she went back.

She couldn’t say these things to Qin Xue. To avoid arousing Qin Xue’s suspicions, she could only say she’d go back for a few days. But in reality, from the beginning, she hesitated about going back. After so many days of pondering, she would never go back so miserably to worry her parents.

So, now the mother and son faced issues related to housing and food. Hence, they could only rent a house first, and talk about other things later.

”Are you really not planning to go back to your man?” Qin Xue asked, pondering.

”I’m not going back. Since I’ve woken up, it’s time for me to face reality.” Dongfang Li shook her head.

”Alright, I can offer you a job opportunity. I can provide food and lodging, and your salary each month will depend on the merchandise you produce. Are you willing?” Qin Xue thought of An Hao’s bridal shop; those were all Western-style wedding dresses.
