Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1803: Chapter 1797: Why Give Things Again

“Qin Xue, after you go back, focus on your work. If anything comes up, write to me and your dad, okay?” Nangong Shulan was reluctant to let her daughter leave, but as her daughter said, everyone has their own life; as long as they’re living well, that’s what matters most.

Therefore, Nangong Shulan was thinking about whether their business might have good developments in the future. If so, they could expand into other areas, which would mean spending time together with her daughter again.

“Mom, I understand. You both take care of yourselves.” Qin Xue feared that continuing the conversation would only make her more upset.

“Alright, let’s not talk about it anymore, or the kids will miss the train.” The old man was also reluctant to see them leave, but being older, he had come to accept it. There is no such thing as a never-ending feast; coming together and parting ways is as normal as anything else could be.

“True, such things are indeed very normal. Shulan, let the kids catch the train. If you miss them, I’ll take you to the Imperial Capital to visit them,” Qin Lei advised his wife after listening to his father’s words.

“Okay.” Nangong Shulan knew the chances were slim, but she still agreed.

Actually, it was more about her not wanting to return to that place. Here, she had her family, and she worried that anything happening over there could affect her family here. She did not want to change the way she was living.

Thus, Nangong Shulan was avoiding it, letting some things pass without thinking of them anymore, although sometimes life won’t easily let anyone off the hook; what should come will come. But that’s another story, back to the present moment.

“Xue’er, let’s go.” Chu Molin held the child while everyone else carried their luggage.

“Grandfather, Grandmother, you’re getting older, take care of yourselves. Here, these are for you; take one now and then, it’s good for your health.” Qin Xue handed them some pills made from supplements, as elderly people occasionally need a little nourishment.

“Thank you, Qin Xue.” The old man did not decline and accepted them. Nowadays, he wouldn’t refuse anything Qin Xue offered since the things she gave him were all good.

Sometimes, some of the old friends in the village would ask about Qin Xue having anything good that they could buy, but the old man wasn’t foolish. He couldn’t tell them about his granddaughter’s talents or cause her trouble, so he declined them all.

During Qin Xue’s visit, they also wanted to see her, but coincidentally Yu Ze went missing, delaying them. They probably didn’t expect Qin Xue and the others to leave so soon.

Thinking of this, the old man felt truly happy as Qin Xue’s grandfather, always having a share of good things.

I wonder how Qin Xue would feel hearing her grandfather think so. Could such small things really make him so happy? It seems the saying that old folks are like children, seeking attention and showing off, is quite true.

Besides, having elders at home is a wonderful thing, always giving a sense of home and love, leading to the saying: having an elder at home is like having a treasure.

“Qin Xue, why do you keep giving us things?” The old man had no objections, but the old woman was unhappy; life outside wasn’t easy for the children, so how could they keep taking things from them?

“Grandma, I have more of these. Please take them. If you need more, just ask dad to write to me; I’ll send them.” Qin Xue laughed, feeling warm inside.

The family always had their best interest at heart; such family members are the real ones, the kind that makes you want to go home and be with them.

“It’s not necessary, don’t always think of us; take care of yourselves too. Hurry up and go.” The old woman ushered them away.
