Chapter 1500: Chapter 1494: Want to Go Together_1 Chapter 1500: Chapter 1494: Want to Go Together_1 “I know, but I can’t bear to watch you go there and not be able to do anything to help.” Qing Zhu understood, but she couldn’t shake off the feeling.

“Qing Zhu, why don’t you stay here and wait for us to return? You can also take the children back to my house, help my mom take care of those rascals, what do you think?” After hearing Qing Zhu’s words, Qin Xue realized that Qing Zhu was feeling guilty for not being able to do much, so she thought of giving her some tasks.

And there was indeed a task right now. A mother single-handedly taking care of four boys, no matter how you look at it, was quite challenging. So, why not let Qing Zhu lend a hand? This way, she wouldn’t feel so useless.

“Yes, Xuexue is right. This time we brought back four children, all of them between one to two years old, the oldest one is just four. Imagine how busy my aunt would be taking care of them all by herself. So, why don’t you help out? ” Nangong Beiying tried to persuade her. There was really no other option; they couldn’t just let her go on her own.

“Alright, I will go and help Auntie take care of the children. But you all must come back soon.” Qing Zhu pondered and felt that what they said made sense, so she agreed.

“Sure.” Both Qin Xue and Nangong Beiying looked at each other, answering in unison.

“Hmm.” Then the three of them chatted about this and that.

At this point, Nangong Beiying finally understood what Qin Xue meant by saying Qing Zhu was extraordinary. This was not some uneducated village woman. She was knowledgeable and elegant in her speech. The rare qualities she occasionally revealed were beyond ordinary.

Therefore, Qing Zhu was definitely not an ordinary girl. At the very least, her mannerisms were not ordinary.

But how could such a person fall into such a state where she almost lost her life? It was hard for anyone to believe.

“Qing Zhu, pick up the child. We have to return home early for dinner as per my mom’s request. We have been delayed for quite a while; if we don’t return soon, they will be waiting for us.” Qin Xue recalled her mother’s instructions. She had come to Qing Zhu’s place, but yet the child was still not looked after.

“Alright, let’s go. We shouldn’t keep Auntie and the others waiting.” Qing Zhu was not fond of making people wait. She felt that it was impolite to do so.

“Okay, let’s go.” Qin Xue and Nangong Beiying waited outside for her.

“You’re finally back. I was about to call for you.” As Nangong Shulan stepped out of the threshold, she saw the trio approach, with Qing Zhu holding a child in her arms.

“Mom, sorry to keep you waiting.” The sight of her mother brought a smile to Qin Xue’s face, her eyes curving into crescents.

“No worries, dinner just finished cooking. I was worried you might be hungry because you had been traveling for a while.” Nangong Shulan was just concerned that they hadn’t eaten much after such a long journey.

“I’m sorry for the trouble, auntie.” Qing Zhu felt that she had caused a lot of inconvenience to the Qins.

“What nonsense are you talking about? Friendship is a matter of fate. You get along well with Qin Xue, so it’s only natural for us to help you out. Stop saying such discourteous things from now on.” Nangong Shulan was genuinely fed up with Qing Zhu’s constant formalities.

“Alright, I won’t say these things anymore. I will come over to help with the children tomorrow, so you won’t be so tired.” The only way Qing Zhu knew how to express her gratitude was to help them.

“Alright, thank you.” Nangong Shulan hadn’t expected Qing Zhu to volunteer to help with the children, especially since she already had a child of her own to look after.

“Auntie, as you said, let’s not be so formal. You’re making me blush.” Qing Zhu said, smiling sheepishly.

“Okay, I won’t say it anymore.” Realising her mistake, Nangong Shulan decided to drop the matter.
