Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1419: Chapter 1413: Few Memories_1 Chapter 1419: Chapter 1413: Few Memories_1 “Do any of you remember where your homes are?” Wu Jie asked, looking at these young children. If they didn’t remember, it would be truly difficult to return them all home.

“Uncle, I don’t know where my home is, I only remember being taken away while playing at my house gate.” One of the children replied after hearing Wu Jie’s question, expressing the scant memory he could recall.

“I don’t remember where my home is either, I’ve been sold several times and have been taken to many places.”

“Me too.”

As each of the children expressed their experiences, the adults present were at a loss for words. These were children who had no memories of their homes, and some had changed hands multiple times. Finding their families was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

“What do you think?” Wu Jie, looking at the composed Chu Molin, asked.

“Let’s take them back first, we’ll deal with the rest later.” Chu Molin was prepared for this situation, so he directly gave Wu Jie his answer when asked.

“That seems to be the only way.” Wu Jie, too, was aware that this was the best solution.

“Wrap it up and take all the children back to the police station. Detain all these people.” Wu Jie began to arrange the ensuing matters.

“Mr. Wu, once you take these children back, you could issue a public notice for missing people. If it’s published in a newspaper, many people will see it. Although not all the children might find their families, some will.” Qin Xue suggested that this era, without fingerprint and DNA testing, was very different. Or else, with a click into the computer, the families of these children would be clear. No need to find them blindly.

Even in much more advanced times of the future, there are many abducted children who never find their families. Qin Xue thought of the frequent broadcasts of programs on television that find family members, all featuring children who had grown up since being abducted, wanting to find their own families once they realized they didn’t belong.

If you asked why they were so desperate to go home, it’s because to be separated from one’s flesh and blood is the most painful thing.

Many people would buy children to bring home, either because they couldn’t have any, or they didn’t have a son. For those that received societal criticism, they imagined buying a boy to carry on the family line. Such closed-mindedness in ancient society is what led to many unfortunate incidents happening to many families.

They manage to find someone to pass on their lineage, but those families lost everything, spending every day searching for their lost children.

“Thank you for your suggestion, we’ll consider it.” After hearing Qin Xue’s method, Wu Jie felt it was a good idea and perhaps they could adopt it.

“You’re welcome, I just want to do something for these children.” Qin Xue looked at them and was reminded of Chenchen. Chenchen was abducted and sold off when she was young. Until now, she and Nangong Beiying had never found her family. Who knows how she is doing on her own now.

“Did you find your sister?” Wu Jie asked, recalling that they had reported their sister as missing. Had they found her yet?

“We found her, she is our sister Xue Ling. Can we go home now?” Qin Xue asked, given that there were now people taking over, did they still need to manage the situation here?
