Survival in the Underground Palace: Get the instant kill skill at the beginning

136: Goblins are coming“Report~~~”

An urgent report came from afar, and in a flash, the messenger rushed into the command room and stood before Shen Yansheng.

“Reporting to Team Leader Shen, a large number of sprites are attacking from the east.”

“East?”

Shen Yansheng mused for a moment, then immediately remembered that the east was the direction of the forest they had attacked yesterday.

Could it be that those sprites had come for revenge?

Shen Yansheng couldn’t help but wonder.

However, it was just a few Fairy Elders leading the remnants of an army. Yesterday, on their home turf, he wasn’t afraid, and now on his own territory, with sturdy walls and numerous weapons and items, he wasn’t flustered in the slightest.

Thinking this, Shen Yansheng said calmly:

“It’s just a few sprites, don’t panic, we have nothing to fear.”

“Team Leader Shen is absolutely right. Yesterday we could kill them all, and today they’re delivering themselves right to us, perfect for annihilating them in one fell swoop.”

“Yesterday wasn’t enough killing, today we’ll have our fill.”

The messenger’s face fell when he heard everyone speak like this.

“Team Leader, it’s not just a few sprites, it’s a lot, a lot of sprites.”

“A lot?” Shen Yansheng frowned slightly: “How many is ‘a lot’?”

“They’re densely packed, covering the sky and ground, and there are Flame Sprites among them.”

“What?” Shen Yansheng was shocked, rising from his seat: “There are even Flame Sprites? Have the Flame Sprites finally appeared?”

Ever since the world announcement about the unsealing of the Flame Sprites, he had been wondering when they would encounter them, but he never expected it to be so soon.

It was soon enough, but they were also mixed in with the Forest Sprites.

Not just him, but everyone else’s expressions changed upon hearing of the Flame Sprites’ arrival.

“This is troublesome now.”

Shen Yansheng’s heart sank, then he said gravely: “Everyone, let’s move together. It seems a big battle is unavoidable today.”

“Who cares about Flame Sprites or not, as long as they’re enemies, they won’t have an easy time.”

“They’re all sprites, just different attributes, how much stronger can they be?”

“What’s there to be afraid of? You can run from the first, but not the fifteenth. We’ll have to face them eventually, it’s just sooner than expected.”

Everyone stood up, grabbed their weapons, and followed Shen Yansheng out of the command room.

Soon, everyone arrived at the outermost eastern wall.

Looking out into the distance.

A sea of fiery red, a sea of emerald green.

The two types of sprites stood in separate sections, clearly distinct.

“Holy moly, looking at these patches, aren’t there nearly ten thousand of them?”

“Looking at this situation, I have a bad feeling about it!”

“Yes, yesterday the Forest Sprites had five Elders. The Flame Sprites must also have many Elders. Combined, the situation is dire!”

“Quick, everyone get ready, prepare all attack items.”

Seeing the large number of sprites, the people on the city wall felt a tightening in their hearts, knowing the situation was not optimistic.

Suddenly, someone looked around and asked, puzzled: “By the way, Team Leader Shen, why haven’t I seen Liu Yang?”

“I kept feeling like something was missing, and hearing you mention it, it turns out Liu Yang isn’t here!”

“Oh right, against a large number of enemies, we still need Liu Yang. Where is he now?”

“No way? Liu Yang hasn’t arrived yet? Could he be scared and ran away?”

“How could that be? Liu Yang is so powerful, how could he run?”

Listening to the chatter around him, Shen Yansheng reassured them: “Don’t guess wildly, Liu Yang was delayed by something. I’ve already notified him, he’ll be here soon.”

“Nearly ten thousand sprites attacking?”

The sudden news from Shen Yansheng startled Liu Yang.

He looked at the remaining time for the double drop rate, which was 01:15.

Then he looked at the sprites in the cage; an hour and a half had passed since they took the energy recovery potion.

“There’s enough time. I’ll kill the last batch of monsters after half an hour and then go out.”

Liu Yang thought about it, then sat down to wait patiently.

He would be ready in half an hour.

And it would take at least ten or eight minutes for the sprites to arrive, right?

Plus the base’s defenses, even if it couldn’t hold for a whole day, an hour should be no problem.

Distant plains.

Rows of giant Forest Guardians were slowly advancing towards Stone Mountain Base.

Behind them, the Forest Sprites and Flame Sprites followed closely, clearly separated.

They were not in a hurry to attack, just walking leisurely, unhurriedly.

“The humans must have peed their pants seeing our formation, right?”

“Hmph, yesterday the forest was burned, and the Forest Guardians were afraid of fire, which is why those hateful humans had an opportunity. Now with the Flame Sprites here, let’s see what they can do.”

“Don’t worry, mere flames are just playthings to us Flame Sprites.”

“Friends of the Forest Sprites, rest assured, with us here, we will definitely avenge you.”

“To be honest, this is my first time going to war. I really want to see humans quickly.”

“What’s so good about humans? They’re just big, clumsy oafs.”

In front, the leading Fairy Elders immediately frowned upon hearing the quiet conversations in the ranks.

“Everyone, be serious. Although humans are not to be feared, there are still some strong ones. If you keep your current mindset, you won’t even know how you died when the time comes.”

“Exactly, although humans are weak, there are many of them. You should know that to gather our current forces, many were drawn from other places.”

“It’s because we heard there’s a large human army here that the Queen attaches such importance to this. So, if even the Queen takes it seriously, what reason do you have to underestimate it?”

On the city wall, watching the approaching sprites, many people trembled with fear, their faces ashen.

As time passed, the sprites’ formations became remarkably clear.

“Don’t panic, although there are many sprites, we also have many people, plus all sorts of siege weapons, victory will surely be ours.”

Seeing the low morale, Shen Yansheng straightened his body and spoke loudly.

After Shen Yansheng spoke, the other team leaders also cheered everyone on.

And in this time, the Forest Guardians had already reached the foot of the city wall.

The enemy had arrived, and Shen Yansheng decided to strike first and gain the upper hand.

“Humans forever! They are just mere sprites, kill them!”

As his voice fell, countless attacks rained down upon the sprites’ positions.

Ballistas, arrows, fireballs, Ice Arrows, wind blades, stone spears, sword qi...

All kinds of attacks, overwhelming.

The sprites were not at all panicked by this.

First, several Fairy Elders acted, opening a defensive barrier, then immediately ordered the Forest Guardians to advance.

“Forest Guardians, all disperse and attack.”

The sprites were not rigid; seeing the main force of humans on the city wall, they immediately ordered the Forest Guardians to attack from multiple directions.

As the Forest Sprites made their move, the Flame Sprites were not idle either.

The Flame Sprites took out their staffs and chanted spells, and then countless magic circles appeared in the sky.

Subsequently, to the humans’ astonished gazes, Flame Giants emerged from the magic circles one after another.
