The System Arrives: Leading My Clan to Become the Strongest

132: Zhang Lianxu Confrontation”Go, follow me.”

”We obey the Elder’s command!”

Dozens of black-robed figures responded in unison. Ghostly Qi soared into the sky, transforming into a black cloud that sped forward. Everywhere it passed, the sky and earth changed color, birds and beasts fled in terror, and a thick killing intent swept across the entire world.

Mo Tu gripped the burning life-chasing jade, his black robes fluttering loudly as he led dozens of Bone-Corroding Netherworld Sect Cultivators in a black torrent, racing toward Qingyun Peak.

The Aura of the Spirit Transformation Realm swept across the land. Vegetation withered along the way, and even the air was dyed dark green by the dense ghostly Qi, exuding a bone-corroding chill.

”Elder, the Aura of the life-chasing jade is growing stronger. The murderer is just ahead; they surely won’t be able to escape now!”

A Law Enforcement Disciple shouted loudly, his eyes filled with bloodthirsty excitement.

Bai Hanye’s death had caused the Netherworld Sect to lose face. As long as they captured and killed the murderer, they could not only report back to the Sect but also plunder the Annihilation Sword Intent Legacy from the opponent. Such a temptation made them unable to restrain their killing intent.

Mo Tu nodded with a gloomy face, his withered fingers tightly clutching the life-chasing jade, though he felt a faint sense of unease in his heart.

It was inherently illogical for someone at the Nascent Soul Stage to kill one at the Spirit Transformation Realm. Furthermore, the Sword Intent left by the opponent could actually backfire against his Soul Searching and Tracing Technique. Such a person could never establish themselves in a remote place like the Yuan Kingdom without someone backing them.

However, Old Devil You Xue’s orders were as absolute as a mountain. He had no choice but to brace himself and move forward.

Moreover, he didn’t believe that with so many people whose cultivation far exceeded the opponent’s, they could possibly lose under such a disparity in strength.

However, not long after the group had sped off, a cold voice suddenly came from the distance, exploding in everyone’s ears like a clap of thunder.

”Rats of the Bone-Corroding Netherworld Sect, halt!”

Before the voice had even faded, golden light suddenly filled the sky, tearing a hole through the dense ghostly Qi.

In the air ahead, a figure dressed in a mysterious black robe stood suspended. His face was cold and stern, his eyes sharp as a hawk’s, and he radiated a righteous pressure that was the polar opposite of the Netherworld Sect’s cold Aura. It was the newcomer from the Ancestral Court, Zhan Ding.

Behind him followed five Cultivators also dressed in black. Four of them were at the Spirit Transformation Realm, their Auras heavy and steady, faintly forming an encirclement.

As for the other one, the Aura he emitted was on par with Mo Tu’s—they were both surprisingly at the Void Refining Realm.

Mo Tu’s pupils constricted. He abruptly raised his hand to stop the group, and the unease in his heart instantly solidified.

”Who are you?”

Mo Tu suppressed the alarm in his heart, his raspy voice carrying a hint of vigilance.

Zhan Ding’s gaze swept over the crowd of black-robed Cultivators, a cold arc curling at the corner of his mouth.

”Zhan Ding of the Ancestral Court. This path is closed. However, since we’ve met, it wouldn’t be right not to say hello, wouldn’t you say, Grand Elder Mo Tu?”

Hearing Zhan Ding’s words, Mo Tu didn’t know how to respond for a moment. He knew that since people from the Ancestral Court were here, they certainly knew why they had come.

For a time, everyone from the Bone-Corroding Netherworld Sect looked at the six people from the Ancestral Court with defensive expressions.

Zhan Ding didn’t intend to waste words with these people. The golden light around him grew increasingly brilliant, like a scorching sun in the sky, forcing back the dark green ghostly Qi surrounding Mo Tu and the others.

The words ’Ancestral Court’ felt like Mount Tai pressing down, causing the faces of all the Netherworld Sect Cultivators present to turn pale, and even their breathing became stagnant.

Mo Tu stared fixedly at the Void Refining Realm Cultivator behind Zhan Ding. His withered hand unconsciously tightened around the life-chasing jade, the cold sweat on his palm nearly soaking the jade pendant.

He never expected that the Ancestral Court would not only send people but also deploy such a powerful lineup.

One Void Refining Realm and five Spirit Transformation Realm Cultivators—this configuration was enough to run rampant even in the Deep part of the Great Wilderness.

”Ancestral Court... You actually mobilized such a large force for a single Nascent Soul Stage Cultivator?”

Mo Tu’s raspy voice carried a hint of disbelief, but more so the ruthlessness of being backed into a corner.

”This matter is a private grudge between my Netherworld Sect and that murderer. He killed our Sect’s True Disciple, Bai Hanye, and we have come to seek revenge. I ask that the Ancestral Court does not interfere!”

As Mo Tu saw it, although the Bone-Corroding Netherworld Sect didn’t care about commoners or some ordinary Cultivators, they hadn’t taken action against the Ancestral Court. To the Ancestral Court, their killing of a few people shouldn’t have any impact.

”Private grudge?”

Zhan Ding gave a cold laugh, his gaze suddenly becoming as sharp as a blade.

”To seize our Ancestral Court’s secret treasure, the ’ancient star scroll,’ Bai Hanye slaughtered innocents within the Human Race’s borders, using civilians and Cultivators as nourishment to practice evil arts. He long ago violated the Iron Laws of the Great Wilderness and defiled the majesty of the Ancestral Court. His death was well-deserved, and you accomplices shouldn’t dream of leaving alive today!”

”ancient star scroll?”

Mo Tu’s pupils shrank as he inwardly cursed Bai Hanye for concealing the truth.

He only knew that Bai Hanye had gone out on a mission, but he didn’t know it was to snatch a secret treasure of the Ancestral Court, which had invited such a fatal disaster.

But things had reached this point, and there was no retreat. A flash of determination crossed his eyes, and the ghostly Qi around him surged frantically, transforming into a pillar of black smoke that pierced the sky.

”The Ancestral Court is being far too overbearing! The ancient star scroll belongs to the virtuous. What wrong did Hanye do by taking it? Since you insist on stopping me today, then don’t blame my Netherworld Sect for being impolite!”

Before his voice had finished, Mo Tu abruptly waved his hand.

”Do it! Kill them! The clue to obtaining the ancient star scroll is on that murderer!”

Following his command, four Netherworld Sect Spirit Transformation Realm Elders acted together. Ghostly Qi surged around them, transforming into countless hideous ghost claws and Ghost-Headed Blades that pounced toward the Ancestral Court group.

Those Nascent Soul and Soul Emergence Disciples were not to be outdone either. They one after another unleashed the evil techniques of the Netherworld Sect. Black venom and the shrieks of resentful souls intertwined, forming a terrifying black torrent that swept toward Zhan Ding and the others.

”Courting death!”

Zhan Ding’s gaze turned cold as he shouted in a deep voice.

”Everyone, uphold justice for Heaven and eliminate these evil spirits!”

Before the words finished, the Void Refining Realm Cultivator behind him was the first to strike.

With a flicker of his body, he turned into an afterimage. Spiritual power surged around him like a tide as he struck out with a palm. A golden palm print instantly expanded to dozens of feet in size, carrying a momentum that crushed everything as it blasted toward the four Netherworld Sect Spirit Transformation Realm Elders.

”You dare!”

Mo Tu’s figure swept in front of the four Spirit Transformation Elders like a phantom. His withered palm struck out abruptly, and dense ghostly Qi condensed into a giant shield as black as ink, barely blocking the golden palm print.

”Boom!”

The forces of two Void Refining Realms collided violently. The golden palm print and the black ghost shield locked in a stalemate in mid-air. A terrifying shockwave of energy spread in all directions, and the ground instantly cracked into several bottomless ravines. Trees and rocks along the way were all reduced to powder.

Mo Tu only felt a surge of vast, righteous power backlashing through the ghost shield. His chest felt as if it had been hit by a heavy hammer, and he let out a muffled groan, his footsteps staggering back several paces. His face beneath the black robe grew even paler.

”Running dogs of the Ancestral Court, you dare to act presumptuously before me!”

Mo Tu roared, and the ghostly Qi around him surged again as he released the pressure of the Void Refining Realm without reservation.

”Today, I shall let you witness the might of my Bone-Corroding Netherworld Sect!”
