Ultimate Series, Past Lives Revealed

17: Rex offlineAfter school, Arthur Wang suggested going to the new bar his family just opened!

But as soon as they reached the bar’s entrance, Wang Dadong wanted to go home!

Arthur Wang said, ”No way, Arrogant One, you’re still playing the good boy? Your parents have already shown their true colors, so you don’t need to keep hiding yourself!”

Wang Dadong replied, ”Oh, this is our family’s invisible house rule; it’s a matter of principle! You guys have fun, I’m heading back. Bye!”

After Wang Dadong left, Arthur Wang still looked incredulous. ”Please, that Arrogant One is the leader of Class One and ranked in the top three of the KO Chart, yet he has to be home by ten o’clock sharp every day! He even goes to church on Sundays...”

”Just thinking about it makes my skin crawl!”

Ding Xiaoyu’s face was full of envy. ”That’s just Dadong, isn’t it? Besides, Dadong is very happy!”

Hao Jiaqi looked at Xiaoyu and took his hand. ”If you envy him for having a perfect family, if you’re willing, you can come home with me tonight! We’ll be family!”

Ding Xiaoyu looked at Jiaqi holding his hand and blushed slightly, but he didn’t pull away. Hearing her words, he was momentarily stunned and then felt a bit moved!

”Jiaqi, this is the second time you’ve invited me to your house! It would seem a bit rude if I didn’t go!”

Jiaqi said, ”It’s good that you know!”

Arthur Wang rolled his eyes beside them. ”Are you two finished? Let’s go!”

Then, thinking of something, he asked Xiaoyu another question. ”Xiaoyu, aren’t you curious about who is rank two on the KO Chart?”

Xiaoyu looked at Jiaqi with gentle eyes, not even sparing a glance for Arthur Wang. ”Not curious!”

Arthur Wang was choked up. Seeing that Xiaoyu’s heart was already focused on the beautiful lady, he stopped speaking!

Jiaqi’s face was turning red from Xiaoyu’s gaze, and she didn’t know why. ”Xiaoyu, stop looking at me!”

Xiaoyu agreed readily enough, but his eyes didn’t move! ”Mm!”

Just then, from an alley not far away, there came fluctuations of Special Ability and screams!

The group looked over; it was students from their school. They had to go check it out. Regardless of the situation, they were classmates from the same school and couldn’t just ignore it!

The bar’s bodyguards also noticed and asked Arthur Wang if they needed to handle it. ”Young Master, do you want us to handle it?”

Arthur Wang replied, ”No need. My business, I’ll handle it myself. You guys go back!”

The bodyguards responded and retreated!

The three of them slowly headed towards the alley. Just as they were about to reach the scene and see who it was, the mysterious person suddenly attacked Arthur Wang!

At the critical moment, Hao Jiaqi acted. She was fast as lightning, her figure several times faster than the mysterious person!

Hao Jiaqi quickly grabbed the hand wearing the weapon, the Ares Hand, and gave it a forceful twist and snap. With a ’crack’, the hand was broken!

The mysterious person hadn’t expected Hao Jiaqi to be so strong. He had no power to resist at all, and his arm had been twisted and broken! He endured the sharp pain and let out a muffled groan!

As he tried to escape, Hao Jiaqi quickly blocked him, grabbed the broken hand, and violently tore off the Ares Hand!

This was truly adding injury to injury; the Ares Hand would not be withdrawn without seeing blood!

Yet it was violently torn off by Hao Jiaqi; one can only imagine the result!

”Hmph, this is the price for hurting my friend. Your weapon is mine now!”

The mysterious person was full of resentment. The Ares Hand was his important weapon and his bargaining chip for dealing with Wang Dadong!

He had originally intended to collect some interest tonight, but he hadn’t expected to miscalculate the opponent’s strength!

Ding Xiaoyu and Arthur Wang walked over to stand by Jiaqi’s side. Just now, there had been no room for them to do anything. Now, they wanted to see who was targeting them!

The mysterious person intentionally suppressed his voice. ”Give me back my weapon, or don’t blame me for being impolite!”

Hao Jiaqi laughed disdainfully. ”You are no match for me; you’re just a defeated opponent. Where do you get the confidence to say such words?”

The mysterious person said, ”You!”

Hao Jiaqi said, ”Since you’re looking for death, I’ll fulfill your wish!”

Xiaoyu was about to pull Jiaqi back, saying he should go, but before he could speak, Jiaqi had already moved!

The mysterious person also hadn’t expected Hao Jiaqi to strike as soon as she said she would!

His eyes turned bloodshot as he watched Hao Jiaqi charge. He didn’t believe that he, KO.2, would lose! He had to win!

Hao Jiaqi didn’t care about his attack at all. Her figure flashed, and she appeared behind him, delivering a heavy punch aimed squarely at his back!

The mysterious person struggled to block, but he was still hit until he spat blood. He was unwilling; clearly, during his investigation, he hadn’t found that this girl had any martial power. Why was she so strong, yet not a single bit of information had leaked out?

Ding Xiaoyu stood by, watching the fight between the two with worry—or rather, the one-sided beating!

Arthur Wang looked at Ding Xiaoyu and shook his head. ”What are you worried about? It’s clearly Jiaqi one-sidedly beating that guy!”

Ding Xiaoyu said, ”You don’t understand!”

Arthur Wang felt like he had used up a lifetime’s worth of eye-rolls! ”I can’t win an argument with you!”

Meanwhile, on the field, the mysterious person felt that if he didn’t run now, he would lose his life. He feigned a desperate strike, but in the blink of an eye, he used teleportation to escape!

However, at the last moment, Hao Jiaqi still landed a full-strength kick on him!

Only a scream was heard as the person vanished!

Ding Xiaoyu saw the person escape and ran over, taking Jiaqi’s hand to check it. ”Does it hurt? Why did you have to take the lead? I could have fought too!”

Jiaqi said, ”But none of you are his match. I certainly couldn’t watch you guys get hurt!”

Arthur Wang didn’t want to see these two constantly ignoring him. ”Hey, do we still want to go have fun?”

Hao Jiaqi said, ”Forget it, today was a bit of a mood killer. Let’s go home; next time!”

Ding Xiaoyu said, ”I’ll listen to Jiaqi!”

Arthur Wang was speechless again. ”Why do I feel like you two are dating or something!”

Arthur Wang’s words struck the hearts of both of them. It made Ding Xiaoyu panic as he looked at Jiaqi, afraid she would hate him, especially since they had previously talked about being like brother and sister!

Hao Jiaqi, on the other hand, had a sudden realization. She had wondered why Xiaoyu was always acting a bit strange; so he wanted to date!

”Xiaoyu, you want to date? But we’re still young!”

Ding Xiaoyu was somewhat pleasantly surprised. ”You don’t hate me?”

Arthur Wang saw the two of them talking endlessly as if no one else was there, so he left. Anyway, the two of them couldn’t hear his voice right now!

Hao Jiaqi said, ”How could I hate you? What did I do to give you that impression??”

Ding Xiaoyu was a bit shy. ”Then... is it like, then??”

Hao Jiaqi said, ”I don’t know, but you are different to me than others. I’ve never been in a relationship, so I don’t know!”

Ding Xiaoyu was already very pleasantly surprised by Jiaqi’s answer. Even if they didn’t become boyfriend and girlfriend now, he believed that as long as he didn’t give up, he would eventually succeed!

Suddenly, Hao Jiaqi leaned close to Xiaoyu. ”Honestly, could it be that the content on the heavenly screen stimulated you?”

Thinking of the heavenly screen’s content, Ding Xiaoyu’s face suddenly turned bright red. His hands and feet were flailing, and he didn’t know where to put them!

Hao Jiaqi looked at Xiaoyu’s reaction and found it a bit funny. She decided not to tease him anymore, lest she go too far!

”Let’s go! Home. You promised to come home with me!”

Only Xiaoyu knew why his face was bright red—because he had unconsciously replaced the two people on the heavenly screen with himself and Jiaqi!

The more he thought about it, the faster his heart beat! It felt as if it were about to jump out!

Hearing Jiaqi’s words, Xiaoyu suddenly followed her with stiff, uncoordinated steps. He suddenly didn’t want to refuse a ”cohabitation life” with Jiaqi anymore!

If Hao Jiaqi knew Xiaoyu was overthinking so much, she wondered if she would still let him stay??

Meanwhile, on the other side, the mysterious person had been directly and heavily injured by Hao Jiaqi’s final kick. Just as he escaped to the vicinity of his hotel, he could no longer hold on and fainted!

Not long after, a strange man covered in a green glow suddenly appeared. He glanced at the unconscious mysterious person, waved his hand, and took him away!

The next morning, in Class One, Wang Dadong was waiting in the classroom with an excited expression!

Arthur Wang, seeing Wang Dadong look so excited for once, asked curiously, ”Arrogant One, why are you so excited? It’s like you’re waiting for a lover!”

Hearing this, Wang Dadong jumped up. ”Narcissist, don’t talk nonsense. Last night I got a call from The Brain saying he’s coming back to Class One today! I’m waiting for him, my good brother!”

Hearing this, Arthur Wang felt slightly jealous. ”Good brother? Arrogant One, then what about me?”

Wang Dadong didn’t react in time and was directly stunned by the question. ”Eh?”

Xiaoyu found it a bit funny and reminded Dadong, ”Dadong, Arthur is jealous!”

This time it was Arthur Wang’s turn to jump. ”I am not jealous!”

Wang Dadong understood and looked at Arthur Wang with a moved expression. Arthur Wang’s skin crawled under his gaze!

”Narcissist, don’t worry, you’re also my good brother!”

Arthur Wang sat down awkwardly. ”Nonsense, of course I know that. I’m just curious that you have such a ’Brain’!”

Jin Baosan, hearing Arthur Wang’s words, immediately began to educate him on Rex’s story!

To put it simply, Rex and Wang Dadong were good brothers who grew up together, and Rex was also Wang Dadong’s ’Brain’!

Seeing that Rex hadn’t shown up for so long, Wang Dadong got a bit anxious. ”Could something have happened?”

Arthur Wang said, ”Why don’t you give him a call?”

Wang Dadong had a sudden realization. ”Oh, right! I almost forgot I could call!”

”Hello, the number you have dialed is turned off. Please try again later...”

Wang Dadong called several times, but it always showed as turned off. He was getting anxious!

He was about to rush out to find him when Tian Xin walked in. Seeing Wang Dadong about to run out, she stopped him. ”Dadong, are you going to skip my class?”

Wang Dadong explained with a face full of worry, ”Teacher, I need to go find Rex. He promised me he’d return to Class One today, but he’s still not here!”

Tian Xin quickly said, ”I know what happened to Rex. He suddenly filed for a leave of absence with me today, saying there was a sudden change in his family’s business abroad and he had to go handle it. No matter how I tried to persuade him, he wouldn’t listen. He’s already left!”

Wang Dadong was incredulous. ”Impossible, he clearly promised me he’d finish high school with me. How could he take a leave of absence? I don’t believe it!”

”And didn’t he just get back from abroad? How could something happen in the blink of an eye?”

Arthur Wang, seeing Wang Dadong’s devastated look, comforted him. ”Arrogant One, it’s no use being anxious now. Even if you go after him, you probably won’t catch up. You might as well wait until after school, and I’ll have the Earth Dragon Gang help you investigate what happened!”

Ding Xiaoyu and Jiaqi watched the whole thing, feeling a bit suspicious. It was too coincidental; could that mysterious person from last night be... The two of them exchanged a look but didn’t speak, choosing to remain silent. Anyway, looking at that person’s appearance, he didn’t seem like a good person!

Hao Jiaqi and Xiaoyu agreed to keep this secret and not tell anyone!
