Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 617: Greater Experience Potion Buff

The crowd couldnʼt control their emotions, especially those who were supposedly calm and collected in the front row. People from their position knew especially just how valuable the item was on display.

A 300% EXP increase was already exaggerated enough, but the duration lasted for one whopping hour.

That might not seem a lot, but for players like them who were at the mainstream. The one hour of grinding with that potion consumed was enough to extend the gap by a large margin.

However, that wasnʼt even the main concern in their thoughts. Instead, it was the fact that the Vanguard Guild could afford to put up such a godly tier item to be auctioned off.

If the Vanguard Guild could afford it, then wouldnʼt it make sense that they had many more in store?

Almost everyone on the front row was a sly fox, so as soon as they made that connection from their logic, they quickly informed their guild while maintaining a stoic expression.

What they wanted was to become allies or friendly with the Vanguard Guild and get their hands on the Greater Experience Potion Buff.

As for the risk of offending Lethal Corp or Reaver Guild?

Those two guilds could scram to the side for all they care.

In front of a common profit, all first-rate guilds would naturally have a unanimous silent decision to eliminate anyone who dared to stop their road to riches.

Meanwhile, Veronica knew the effect was amazing when she noticed how silent those in the front row were. As an expert in marketing, the more silent they were, the more greedy and anxious they actually were being.

ʼThese people might go bankrupt soon.ʼ Veronica thought, feeling amused to butcher these fat and naive sheep. It was truly an addicting feeling to be the butcher and watch the sheep fight among themselves for some food.

Nevertheless, she didnʼt let the feeling cloud her judgment and objective.

”Ahem, I wish to start announcing the bid price and increment, but I canʼt do so when everyone is talking over one another.” Veronica cleared her throat and subtly implied them to shut the hell up.

A few seconds later, the massive crowd turned silent, their eyes gazing at Veronica. By now, the doubt and skepticism regarding Veronica had long been replaced by their greed for wanting to have the Greater Experience Potion Buff in their hand.

”The bidding price for the Greater Experience Potion Buff is 30 Silver Coins, with each increment bid being no less than 1 Silver Coin,” Veronica announced, startling everyone at present.

It wasnʼt that the crowd found the price expensive, but rather the price to be very cheap.

Someone from the crowd was so dumbfounded that they raised their hand, hoping to be addressed.

Meanwhile, Veronica recognized them. ʼHmm, he should be Steelshot from the Silver Wind Guild.ʼ

Initially, she didnʼt plan on addressing any questions once she announced the bid price. But since the person who was trying to ask a question was someone with a decent relationship with the Vanguard Guild. Veronica decided to allow it once. Think of it as a good gesture, which she wouldnʼt allow the next time.

”Yes, do you have any inquiry?” Veronica pointed at him and asked softly.

”Uh, yes, is it really set at 30 Silver Coin price?” Steelshot stood up and inquired.

Nodding, Veronica smiled. ”That is correct. Iʼm sure you wouldnʼt think I would make a mistake like that, right?”

”Oh no, please donʼt misunderstand me.” Steelshot hurriedly clarified himself. He had no intention of trying to imply Veronica might have made a mistake in announcing the supposed bidding price whatsoever.

”What I mean is that our Silver Wind Guild would love to use the Raid Points that we earned from the previous raid to purchase it.” He continued, immediately starting off the auction with their advantage.

However, the moment Steelshot declared his intention, almost everyone nearby was displeased and infuriated by his action.

This was especially true for the guilds and teams who didnʼt participate in the large-scale raid with the Vanguard Guild. They were at a complete disadvantage. So if they were to lose out on a fantastic item because of that, they would naturally be unwilling and resentful.

”The Silver Wind Guild sure knows how to use their connection well.”

”Hmph, maybe it was intended from the start that the item was meant for the good relationship with the Vanguard Guild.” Experience tales at My Virtual Library Empire

”This was just a blatant tease and humiliation to us.”

Soon after, the representatives of their guilds began talking about how they were being discriminated against.

Meanwhile, Steelshot was dumbfounded by the swift change of atmosphere.

ʼWhy did they all suddenly turn hostile?ʼ He cried inwardly. He merely contacted his guild leader who told him to obtain the item at all costs. Never once did he expect a question of him trying to utilize the Raid Points from the start to result in such a backlash.

Just when the atmosphere was turning more suffocating, Veronica suddenly clasped her hands.

Once the attention had been redirected back to her, Veronica smirked. ”To those who were displeased about the Raid Points advantage that other guilds or teams obtained through their sweat and hard work. Iʼm sure you would do the same if you were in their shoes as well, right?”

The moment she raised such a question, the vocal ones in their dissatisfaction only kept a sullen or darkened expression in response. It would be an easy lie to detect if any of them dared to say they wouldnʼt do the same.

Their reaction was something Veronica was used to seeing whenever she had to do a presentation regarding marketing sales and how they needed to change their strategy.

Yes, it was reluctance, but they also knew it was something they needed to accept. Life was not fair, and you couldnʼt just expect everything to go on your way.

Except for this time.

She was going to be the savior to bankrupt these filthy rich people.

”The advantage of the Raid Points could not be denied, but fret not. Those who wish to compete against them but do not have enough in-game currency. They are free to use real-world currency to bid at the exchange rate of 1000 dollars to 1 Raid Point!” Veronica solemnly declared.
