Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 210: Abyssal Phantom

As the aroma of the corpses that Xu Feng prepared, the more frantic the smaller Behemoths became. They started increasing their pace, frantically searching for the source of the smell.

ʼOkay, these smaller Behemothsʼ resistance is indeed terrible.ʼ Xu Feng exclaimed inwardly.

He was sure that these younglings might still seem large in size, but their attributes and resistances were definitely worse than the adult ones. There was just no way it could resist the temptation of delicious food.

”Throw the corpses out,” Xu Feng instructed.

Shortly after, Jeff grabbed one of Raburleʼs corpses and threw it perfectly beneath them.

They had already taken the high ground from earlier without distracting them. Hence, they had the advantage of overseeing the lair in contrast to the Behemoths.

The lair was a massive one, otherwise, it wouldnʼt have been able to become the habitat of these large Behemoths.

Till now, the adult Behemoths still hadnʼt realized it was a trap. They merely thought their younglings became restless and wanted to fool around a little.

However, once three or more of Raburleʼs corpses started to drop from above, the adults became alarmed.

Unlike the terrible awareness of the younglings, their awareness was more experienced.

They growled in a different tone, clearly a signal to call for their younglings to return.

Alas, it was a little too late. The younglings seemed to be cast in an illusion spell, unable to hear their warnings.

”Now, Jeff!” Xu Feng hurriedly called out once he noticed the adult Behemoths were starting to rush to their younglings.

Without hesitation, Jeff leaped from his position, gripping his battle axe tightly. He swung with tremendous power, targeting the ceiling of the lair.

The impact created a loud and flashy strike that echoed through the chamber, causing the rock above to crack and splinter.

Chunks of debris began to fall, cascading down and creating a barrier between the younglings and the adult Behemoths. Dust filled the air as the ceiling partially collapsed, the falling rocks effectively separating the Behemoths.

The adult Behemoths roared in frustration, unable to reach their young through the newly formed wall of debris.

”Carmen, itʼs your turn now.” Xu Feng turned to her and instructed.

”Yes,” Carmen responded, summoning her Elementalists. She began using them as a medium to bombard the younglings with a series of spells.

The Elementalists conjured fireballs and icy blasts, targeting the young Behemoths with precision. The lair filled with the sounds of magical explosions and the pained cries of the young Behemoths as Carmenʼs spells found their marks.

Upon hearing their distressed younglings, the adult Behemoth became more fierce and aggressive, hoping to destroy the debris barrier that had separated them.

It was just a pity that this debris wasnʼt something they could easily trample over. After all, this lair was their habitat so if it was fragile, there was no way it would choose such a place.

”Jeff, start attacking the joint of the younglingʼs legs.” Xu Feng commanded, his eyes staring at the younglings muffling in pain. The more they screamed, the more the adult Behemoths would lose their composure.

ʼAs long as those adults lose their composure, I wonʼt have to worry about them fighting intelligently.ʼ Xu Feng thought. His worries were never toward the younglings, but the adults that had the proper skills to pose danger to them.

Meanwhile, Jeff nodded, and held his battle axe, gleaming as he swung at the younglingʼs joint with precise, powerful strikes.

Each hit landed with a satisfying thud, targeting the weak points in the younglingsʼ legs. The young Behemoths stumbled and fell, their roars of pain and anger echoing through the lair.

While Carmen and Jeff continued their relentless assault, working in tandem to keep the young Behemoths incapacitated, Xu Feng leaped down and began walking toward the debris that currently separated the battlefield.

The debris was falling rapidly, and he could sense the ground shaking tremendously, mainly from the headbutting that the adult Behemoths were doing on the other side.

Scanning around the surroundings, Xu Feng noticed a few large debris spikes on the ceiling that had yet to fall from Jeffʼs strike.

Although these spikes had yet to fall, it was shaking rapidly, almost as if it was going to fall at any moment.

With a cold grin, Xu Feng sacrificed 10% of his health to activate Dark Pact, summoning a powerful shadow creature.

Emerging from the dark void, the creature materialized into a towering figure, shrouded in swirling shadows that seemed to absorb the light around it. Its eyes glowed a sinister red, and its form was amorphous, shifting between solid and ethereal.

The creatureʼs limbs were long and tough, ending in razor-sharp claws that sparkled with an unnatural shine. It moved with an eerie grace, its presence exuding an aura of malevolence and dread. As it took shape, the very air around it grew colder, and a faint whispering of dark incantations filled the lair.

The shadow creature was a manifestation of pure darkness and power, ready to obey Xu Fengʼs every command. It stood poised, awaiting its masterʼs orders, its eyes fixed on the Behemoths with a hunger for destruction.

This was the very same shadow creature that had hindered the Skyrazor Harbinger, Abyssal Phantom.

Xu Feng smirked at the attributes of the Abyssal Phantom.

For a measly 10% of health to sacrifice, he could summon such a powerful creature. Even the average Summoner would rip their hair out from jealousy of his ability.

After all, the 10% health could easily be recovered with Heal or Heavenʼs Grace.

For a Cleric to worry about their health was a hilarious joke.

The Abyssal Phantom started hovering around him, its eyes glaring at the youngling, clearly wanting permission to attack it.

Despite its eagerness, Xu Feng shook his head.

ʼCarmen and Jeff could easily handle those two younglings that have been affected by the particleʼs aroma.ʼ He deduced silently, taking on the responsibility for the adult Behemoth stuck on the other side.
