Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 96: Be a Coolie

As Zhao Xin managed to win the shareholdersʼ trust and funds, she bid them farewell, saving the next discussion of Project Genesis for another time.

After all, it was a multi-billion project, so much planning was needed now that they agreed to it.

Not to mention, they needed time to comprehend what just happened, especially how there were two traitorous bastards in the company.

What shareholders despised the most was people harming their profits!

They invested to earn money, and not to lose money. And those who deliberately caused them to lose money were essentially their enemy.

However, since the two traitors were family of the Zhao, it would be an overreach for them to teach them a lesson.

Additionally, it could be considered a favor to Zhao Xin, allowing her to clean up this mess internally.

Sometime later, the meeting room was left with Zhao Xin, her assistant, and two brothers.

”My two dearest eldest brothers, the shareholders have left. You can drop the act now,” Zhao Xin said, her voice a blend of steel and disdain.

Zhao Hengʼs finger trembled uncontrollably as he pointed at her, his voice filled with a raw mix of fury and disbelief.

”Y-You set this trap for us!”

Meanwhile, Zhao Ming remained silent, his head lowered, and deep in thought. His eyes flickered with realization and a hint of fear as he looked up at Zhao Xin, searching for answers in her composed demeanor.

He lifted his head up, gazed at Zhao Xin, and asked nervously, ”Does grandfather know about this?”

”Grandfather?” Fear instantly erupted in Zhao Hengʼs expression at the mere mention of his grandfather.

”Where do you think I obtained the footage and images from?” Zhao Xin responded to them with a question of her own.

It was as if a truck had crashed into them, or a boulder crushed every bone of them, or possibly even struck by lightning, the two brothers were frozen on the spot.

”N-No… how can that be possible?”

”Yeah, grandfather wouldnʼt be that ruthless to his own blood.”

Sighing softly at their pathetic reaction, Zhao Xin stood up and said, ”Iʼve given the two of you many chances. Before this meeting happened, I had repeatedly told your secretary to relay my warning, but I guess they didnʼt care.”

”My secretary?” Zhao Hengʼs mouth twitched as he clenched his fist.

”That damn slut didnʼt relay shit to me!” He roared angrily, stood up, and dashed away from the meeting.

Without even needing an expert to explain, it was quite evident that Zhao Heng was going after his secretary.

”Sigh, get the security team ready, Anna, lest this brother of mine might beat the secretary to death.” Zhao Xin sighed exhaustively.

Despite the fact that she could just let it happen and send her brother to jail, she could only put a close lid on this matter and resolve it internally.

Besides their family blood, exposing this matter would cause a sharp drop in their stock, and might even lose the trust of others in their company. This was also another reason why the other shareholders decided to let her handle this matter internally.

”Elder brother, you should return to grandfather and seek forgiveness now. Otherwise, itʼs hard to tell if you would be a coolie.” Zhao Xin patted his shoulder and said.

A coolie was essentially a low-wage worker, and with his huge mistake this time, it wouldnʼt be surprising if he got kicked out of the Zhao Family and forced to work in a low-end job.

After all, his temper was not the greatest, and having offended many people, without the backing and support of the Zhao Family, his life would be miserable.

”You really are a good little sister!” Zhao Ming laughed hysterically, stood up, and exited the meeting room, his footsteps uneven.

As his silhouette slowly disappeared from the scene, Anna Liu stepped forward and comforted, ”Thereʼs nothing else you could do, CEO Xin. They chose this path and you only did whatʼs good for the company.”

Smiling bitterly, Zhao Xin shook her head. ”Why must all rich families always fight to the bitter end for some more wealth? Could they even bring it to their grave? If we just worked together, then we could rise even further as a family.”

”Itʼs human greed. Just look at me, Iʼm only working as your personal assistant because of the salary.” Anna Liu suddenly said.

Zhao Xin rolled her eyes at Anna. Her attempt in trying to lighten the atmosphere and mood was evident.

”Right, those secretaries that didnʼt warn my eldest brothers. Although I donʼt want them to be beaten to death, I also donʼt want to see them in the company anymore.” She said coldly, her expression turned fierce.

Anna Liu nodded her head. ”Rest assured, CEO Xin. I have already sent a termination notice to them all and informed all amicable companies of them being blacklisted. I doubt they would be able to get another job in this industry.”

”Not enough, these secretaries failed their job miserably and forced my hands to choose this route. Iʼm sure they helped my brothers in embezzlement…” She trailed off near the end, but it was enough for Anna Liu to comprehend her intention.

”Understood,” Anna Liu flatly responded as she made a few texts on her mini-tablet. She was going to inform someone to do the dirty work in sending these secretaries to their new life in prison.

”How many years?” She subsequently asked.

”How many years have my brothers colluded with those in the Feng Enterprise?” Instead of giving a direct response, Zhao Xin brought up another question.

Anna Liu pondered for a moment and calculated silently before answering, ”5 years.”

”Then 5 years it is.” Zhao Xin waved her hand, dismissing Anna Liu as she got an incoming phone call.

Her fierce expression swiftly softened up as she connected the call.

”Little Kai, what were you doing earlier huh? You donʼt want this elder sister anymore and want to ignore her now?” She said somewhat teasingly.

”Haha, I was just busy playing a game.” Zhao Kaiʼs voice resounded through the phone as he laughed heartily. ”Earlier I was stocking on some food, so I missed your phone call. What did you call me for?”
