Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 22: Making a Killing

Right after Xu Feng accepted his fate of being a poor man, he turned to the Game Forum.

Aetheria Empire, Riverwood Town

-First appearance of a resistance potion in the Auction Market!

-4 Fire Resistance Potion sold in an instant by players with a buyout price of 1 silver coin!

-Would we see a first clear achievement dungeon soon?

Sure enough, the discussion of the topic had quickly shifted from a mysterious player eligible to head upstairs in the Town Hall to the Fire Resistance Potion sold from the Auction Market.

It was within Xu Fengʼs expectation that this topic would drown the previous topic anyway. Thus, he wasnʼt a bit worried about being camped by multiple players in the lobby.

After all, the potion he just sold was highly scrutinized thanks to the beginner dungeon nearby Riverwood Town, Scorched Caverns.

Due to the system warning of the dungeon being extremely hot and cautioning players to have some fire resistance, the players around the region became more alert, hoping to find such items.

Of course, there are bound to be players who ignore such warnings and enter the dungeon, believing it to be a piece of cake, only to end up suffering miserably.

Not only did their gear durability drop tremendously, but they were also afflicted with an ailment status.

Dying in a dungeon doesnʼt penalize players too much, but the aftermath of suffering in the hostile environment upon revival still continued.

Thus, players were enlightened by the fact that they shouldnʼt tackle these dungeons without preparation.

ʼWell, itʼs thanks to those foolish players venturing ahead that let the others know how important it is to be prepared. Otherwise, I wouldnʼt have been able to sell my potions.ʼ Xu Feng thought to himself.

Having investigated the region and the available dungeon, he chose to synthesize the Fire Resistance Potion for a reason.

If one wants to sell things, then they must ensure the items they sell are in high demand. After all, no one would care about how good your things are if they canʼt be put to use.

This was the concept of demand and supply.

ʼIʼll let those mysterious buyers test the potions out first before selling them in batches.ʼ Xu Feng smirked evilly.

To ensure that the buyer wouldnʼt stall for time and attempt to wait if there would be more potions available, he decided to fan the flame.

Making a post of his own, Xu Feng naturally used the ”anonymous user” identity.

-Usage of the Fire Resistance Potion and methods to conquer the Scorched Caverns.

Using this title as the clickbait, Xu Feng began to reveal bits of information on how to clear the dungeon. Of course, it was information mixed with lies and truth.

The intention of making such a post was to create an illusion to the buyers that it was possible to clear the dungeon and that they should act swiftly, lest others would take the achievement from them.

It was a devious plan to ensure they would reach the middle and end section, only to come up short every single time. Facing such a situation, their desire for success and belief in being able to do it would soon overwhelm them.

By that time, he would be like a god, offering batches of these potions to let them attempt it again and again.

ʼAhhh~, once again, Iʼm really too generous.ʼ Xu Feng lamented silently, feeling the burden of having such a kind heart.

As he was praising himself, Xu Feng suddenly received a private message.

Startled, Xu Feng opened the message and was quite surprised.

Gentle Wind: How many more Fire Resistance Potions do you have? I wished to purchase them with real currency.

ʼLook at this Gentle Wind go. Her brain is really functioning pretty well.ʼ He smiled softly.

It was not as if he didnʼt expect Gentle Wind would contact him again.

After all, he had just mentioned to her previously that he could help her get the first clear achievement of the Scorched Caverns, and a player suddenly auctioning the resistance potion appeared.

If she couldnʼt even pinpoint this connection or even suspect him to be related, then he would truly be disappointed.

Though the speed of her messaging him had somewhat startled him a bit.

If it was him, then he would at least wait a bit or speak about another topic. He would definitely not be so straightforward and ask for the price, going as far as using real-world currency as payment too.

But now that she had done this, it meant that she had lost all initiative.

Not to mention, he could easily deny being the person who auctioned it.

What proof does she have against him?

Meanwhile, Gentle Wind seemed to be anxious about not being responded to yet and decided to send another message.

Gentle Wind: I can offer you 100,000 dollars if youʼre willing to give me a batch of them.

ʼSheʼs getting desperate…ʼ Xu Fengʼs expression turned solemn as he realized the situation.

Despite the Divine World being recently published, the popularity and hype of it was no joke. Therefore, the exchange of currency from real-world money to in-game money was very high.

100 copper coins equaled 1 silver coin, and 1 copper coin in-game was equivalent to 10 dollars, then 1 silver coin would have been worth 100 copper coins, which was 100 times 10 dollars = 1000 dollars.

Therefore, with 100 silver coins, you would have 100 times 1000 dollars = 100,000 dollars.

Of course, the exchange rate is subject to change in the future depending on the circumstances, but right now, Gentle Wind was essentially offering him a value of 90 percent higher.

Even if he were to sell them in batches, the best he could earn was probably around 50-60 silver coins, equivalent to 50,000 to 60,000 dollars.

It was a far cry from the amount that Gentle Wind was offering to him.

ʼIʼm actually making a killing here,ʼ Xu Fengʼs glasses glinted in a sharp light once he noticed this golden goose.
