Global Exploration: Starting from Decrypting Chernobyl

122: Shipwreck on the seabed! Biogas explosion!”Hehe...”

”Of course!”

The Supreme Councilor curled his lips, picked up the landline next to him, and dialed a number!

Five minutes later... a super ocean-going aircraft carrier—the St. George—departed from a secret port in Bear Country and sped towards Miami, near the Bermuda Triangle!

And this action by Bear Country!

It couldn’t be hidden from other countries... such as the British Empire, Bear Country, Romantic Country, and even Japan, under the instruction of Ogawa.

They all began to stir.

Regarding this truth about Bermuda, first discovered by Dragon Country... they all chose to ignore it!

So what if Dragon Country discovered it first?

To use the shameless words of Stick Country... ”Your discovery isn’t a discovery; everyone’s discovery is a real discovery. Anyway, this thing is just sitting here, so let our Stick Country discover it first?”

...”Boom...”

As the rosalie crashed into the dark seabed with tremendous inertia, black sludge was stirred up by the immense impact.

It obscured everyone’s vision.

”...”

”Did you always come back like this before?”

Feeling the immense tremor from the surroundings.

Wu Tian’s mouth twitched.

He turned to look at the two skulls and asked.

”Uh...”

Master Sang, who had been arrogant and unrestrained before, now spoke with trepidation when answering Wu Tian.

”We’re all just bones, so returning to the seabed...”

”There aren’t that many rules.”

”A tremor is just a tremor, it won’t break us apart...”

”Hmm.”

Wu Tian smiled faintly.

He said with a hint of meaning.

”A tremor like this won’t break you apart, but... such a big commotion!”

”Won’t all your companions hear it?”

”...”

”No, no, no...”

Master Sang was stunned, then the green ghostly flames in his eyes flickered wildly.

”It’s not like that!”

”Except for the specialized personnel assigned to patrol the sea, the other skeletons should all be in slumber at this time, and since we returned early, they definitely won’t notice!”

”You can rest assured!”

”...”

”Oh?”

Wu Tian looked at the black sludge gradually settling outside the polymer resin protective cover.

He continued to ask Master Sang behind him.

”Sea patrol?”

”Why do you need to patrol?”

”Uh...”

”This...”

Master Sang was stunned, then the eerie green fire in his eyes flickered slightly, and after a moment of hesitation.

He then spoke to Wu Tian.

”Actually... it’s to guard a secret.”

Master Sang’s voice was low.

The eerie green flames in his eye sockets flickered unnaturally.

”This sea area seems to hide many secrets, secrets that span an unimaginably long time, so long that even Hernando spent a full 500 years and still couldn’t unravel them, and our existence is to ensure that this sea area is not disturbed by humans!”

”Or rather...”

Master Sang’s tone was uneasy.

”To kill every person who mistakenly intrudes here!”

”...”

”Hehe...”

Listening to Master Sang’s words, Wu Tian sneered.

”How ironic, isn’t it?”

”Your deaths were caused by previous patrollers trying to keep the sea undisturbed, and now you, for the same purpose, kill others!”

”Hehe...”

”I don’t know if Hernando is too strong, or if you are too weak!”

A cold light flashed in Wu Tian’s eyes.

”You’ve lived like this, without any backbone!”

”Disgraceful!”

”...”

The two skulls remained silent, their eye flames trembling slightly, as if awakened by Wu Tian’s blunt words.

They... began to reconsider these questions.

What exactly had they been doing all these years, and why?

”...”

Wu Tian glanced at the seabed outside the high-polymer resin protective cover, which had gradually returned to calm, and with a ’click,’ pressed a button!

The clustered high beams from the Breaking Waves’s front lit up.

Shining into the distant seabed.

”Alright!”

Looking at the almost impenetrable darkness a hundred meters ahead.

Wu Tian said faintly.

”Let’s go!”

”Since we’re already close to the Pyramid, why wouldn’t we go take a look!”

”Hernando...”

”Hehe!”

”I want to see just who you are!”

Hum... As the roar of the engine echoed in the silent seabed, a stream of bubbles emerged from the Breaking Waves’s stern.

Then!

Splash... The seabed current was parted by the Breaking Waves’s streamlined hull, and it began to move rapidly!

In the deep blue-green seabed... there were many ghostly shadows!

...Just as the Breaking Waves continued to navigate the seabed under Wu Tian’s operation... the bullet comments in the live broadcast room began to discuss wildly.

”...”

”No way...”

”I remember aztec gold coins appearing in Pirates of the Caribbean. Could it be...”

”They exist in reality too?”

”Is that so outrageous?”

”...”

”Don’t panic upstairs, this gold coin really does exist!”

APopular Science (science popularizer) carefully organized the information he found into his own words in the bullet comment box.

He spoke with reason and evidence.

”The 15th century was indeed the time when countries like Spain and Portugal experienced a colonial frenzy. Hernando was a real historical figure, and the Aztec Kingdom also existed!”

”And the truth back then was no different from what the Host said!”

”Hernando was insatiably greedy, not only obtaining 882 aztec gold coins but also betraying and destroying the Aztec civilization!”

”So...”

”These gold coins were all cursed.”

”Anyone who takes the gold coins out of the box will turn into bones under the moonlight!”

”...”

”Hiss...”

”No way!”

”Are these gold coins still around now?”

”With Hernando?”

”...”

After a moment of silence in the bullet comments, thePopular Science spoke again.

”Actually, ever since the Aztec civilization was destroyed in 1516, these aztec gold coins seemed to evaporate, disappearing into the river of history along with the missing Hernando. I never thought...”

”Hernando and these gold coins would sink to the bottom of the sea?”

”Hehe...”

”It’s truly karma, what goes around comes around!”

”Serves him right!”

...”Boom boom...”

Amidst the waves of ’serves him right’ from the Fans in the bullet comments!

The Breaking Waves slowly broke through the seawater against the immense pressure of the seabed, heading slowly in the direction Master Sang pointed.

At first... what the group saw along the way was a peaceful and quiet normal seabed scene.

Schools of fish and shrimp, abundant species!

Colorful coral reefs, schools of deep-sea fish, giant octopuses emitting faint bioluminescence... and even a giant shark foraging, brushing past the Breaking Waves!

However!

When the Breaking Waves had traveled about two thousand meters... a scene of desolation and ruin.

Instantly appeared before everyone’s eyes!

Hundreds of broken ships, vessels, airplanes... and even submarines... were scattered haphazardly across the uneven seabed!

Planes broken in half, small sailboats snapped in the middle, white-painted jet skis that were still very new, rusty giant anchors... everywhere!

Even near the Breaking Waves... there was the wreckage of a former Bear Country fighter jet!

At this moment, the fighter jet only had two engines and half of its fuselage remaining, and its fuselage... had almost turned into a dark reddish-green under the erosion of the seawater!

Everything... was like a gigantic junkyard!

Making the entire seabed appear shadowy... dark and mysterious!

Moreover... all marine life seemed to have tacitly avoided this place, leaving it utterly silent!

”Here...”

Wu Tian frowned, glancing at Master Sang’s skull, which was staying by the control panel.

”Hmm!”

The ghostly fire in Master Sang’s eye sockets flickered.

”This is our parking area for all of us; all kinds of ships, vessels, and even planes are docked here!”

”Those people...”

Master Sang said softly.

”They are all sleeping in here.”

”Let’s be quiet.”

”Don’t wake them up!”

”Hmm.”

Wu Tian nodded.

He slowly reduced the Breaking Waves’s output power, and the engine’s sound quieted down, leaving only two long high beams... constantly advancing in the dark seabed!

”...”

”That...”

Suddenly!

Zhang Meng’s eyes lit up, and she pointed excitedly at a black hull, whispering.

”That’s the Ladahomer. It’s said that in 1935, sailors on a freighter named the Rex witnessed this ship being swallowed by waves. They bravely rescued the drowning sailors from the Ladahomer, but...”

Zhang Meng glanced at Master Sang and Kyle.

”It is said that five days later...”

”The sailors on the Rex were surprised to find the Ladahomer reappearing completely intact on the calm sea surface!”

”At the time, it was indeed a world-shocking unsolved mystery, but now it seems...”

Zhang Meng asked Master Sang.

”Hehe...”

”This must all be the work of that Hernando you mentioned!”

”...Hmm!”

Master Sang nodded.

”These ships were all swallowed by giant underwater whirlpools, and indeed...”

”It’s his work.”

”What about the people on the ship?”

Zhang Meng asked.

”...”

”The people on the ship, they should...”

The eerie green ghostly fire in Master Sang’s eye sockets flickered.

”They’ve all become skeletons like us. Of course, those without special souls have probably truly died!”

”There’s no way...”

...As the Breaking Waves continued to go deeper.

Zhang Meng also discovered one after another the wrecks of various ships and planes that could be named and were considered unsolved mysteries of their time!

In 1944, the Cuban freighter Rubicon was found abandoned!

In 1949, the ’Star Sprite’ airliner took off from Bermuda, and an hour later, the ’Star Sprite’ mysteriously disappeared in the Bermuda waters, leaving no trace, and... it was flying at an altitude of 18,000 feet!

In 1951, a Brazilian warship disappeared, and a plane sent to search for it on the same day saw a huge black shadow navigating underwater, as fast as lightning; soon after, the plane lost its Target!

In 1963, when the American oil tanker ’Marine Sulphur Queen’ sailed through this sea area, after sending the message ’Course normal, position 26 degrees 4 minutes north latitude, 73 degrees west longitude,’ it disappeared forever in this sea area, leaving no trace!

1972... 1973... 1977... As the Breaking Waves went deeper, the traces of all kinds of ships, planes, and submarines that had appeared in documented records, all reappeared in everyone’s sight through Wu Tian’s live broadcast screen!

However... before people could marvel at the unbelievable truth... an accident... happened!

...An F-22 fighter jet, which took off from the Deck of the American St. George, had arrived in the airspace above the sea area near where Wu Tian and the others were in the Bermuda Triangle.

”Hehe...”

The pilot, looking relaxed and comfortable, turned on the communication device.

”Mr. William.”

”My F-22 stealth fighter ’Falcon’ has arrived on schedule in the airspace above the Bermuda waters.”

”At the same time...”

The pilot gently pressed the button on the radar monitoring device.

”Hehe!”

”Our radar has also detected a large number of shipwrecks beneath the sea!”

”Please instruct!”

”...”

”Static...”

As a burst of radio static faded, the voice of William, the highest representative of Bear Country, appeared in the communicator.

”Well done, young man!”

”Now!”

”Retain radar detection evidence, collect sea surface images, then turn on the automatic camera function on the plane, and circle in the airspace above the sea for five minutes!”

”After this...”

William chuckled.

”You can come back!”

”Young man...”

”You will be a hero of our Bear Country!”

”Yes!”

”...”

The pilot nodded heavily, and after hanging up the call, he opened three or four buttons as William requested, recording this historic moment!

...However... at the same time!

”Boom!”

At the shipwreck site on the seabed, not far from where Wu Tian and the others were in the Breaking Waves, a huge roar suddenly erupted!

”Splash...”

”Splash!”

Then... a massive amount of white bubbles rose from the explosion point towards the sea surface!

”...”

”What’s going on...”

Wu Tian was stunned.

”Oh?”

”You mean that?”

Master Sang replied in a relaxed tone!

”That’s our ’good friend’!”

”There are many mixtures of frozen water and marsh gas on the seabed in this sea area. Sometimes when a shipwreck crashes or falls, it shakes these things up, and then these extremely unstable crystals rapidly vaporize!”

”Finally, they evaporate from the sea surface!”

”Hehe...”

Master Sang’s laugh was eerie.

”The reason we call it our ’good friend’ is because... once these gases encounter the engines of ships or planes on the sea surface, they will be instantly ignited by the high temperature!”

”Then...”

The ghostly fire in Master Sang’s eyes flickered!

”Boom!”

”Hehe...”

”A huge explosion can save us a lot of trouble!”

”Oh?”

Wu Tian was slightly surprised.

”There’s such a good thing?”

...Just as Master Sang was telling Wu Tian and the others about their ’good friend’... ”Gurgle...”

A massive amount of bubbles instantly rose from the calm sea surface.

Sweeping towards the plane in the sky...!

The pilot’s confident and proud voice came from the plane!

”...”

”Headquarters, this is Falcon!”

”Mission complete, requesting to return to base!”

”Okay!”

”Permission to return to base!”

”Yes...”

Suddenly!

Boom!

Flames erupted, and the ’Falcon’ F-22 fighter jet, which had just lowered its altitude and was preparing to turn around, instantly... turned into a fiery fireball in the sky!
