Peninsula: Director of Public Prosecutions Starts with Daily Intelligence

Kim Ji-won from ”Queen of Tears”Chapter 142: Kim Ji-won from ’queen of tears’

Eastern Police Precinct, practice shooting range.

“Bang! Bang bang!!!”

“Target number one, 9 rings! 8 rings! 9 rings!”

Director Yu nodded with satisfaction and laughed, “It’s been a while since I played with a small shooter.”

“My marksmanship is a bit rusty.”

Cao Wenxi flattered him, “Chief, look at what you’re saying.”

“Three bullets, two nines. If you weren’t rusty, that would be something else—you’d hit ten rings every time.”

Director Yu handed the pistol to Lee Se-hyun and asked, “Section Chief Li, would you like to try?”

“Director Yu, this is my first time touching a gun.”

Lee Se-hyun took the small shooter, full of novelty, and gestured with it back and forth, scaring Director Yu, who dodged repeatedly.

Director Yu thought to himself, it’s a good thing he sibal had turned the safety off beforehand.

If he had known Lee Se-hyun was a complete novice, he wouldn’t have dared to hand him the pistol directly.

Now it was too late to regret it.

[Director Yu’s negative emotional value +10]

“Young Cao!”

“Here!”

Director Yu ordered, “Go get me another small shooter.”

“I’ll teach Section Chief Li how to use a firearm.” “Yessir!”

Cao Wenxi was inwardly delighted, not feeling at all that this was a chore he was being ordered to do.

This was his stepping stone to progress!

At least in front of Director Yu, he was on his radar.

He knew there was such a person as Cao Wenxi.

Lee Se-hyun held the small shooter, perhaps due to his Gun-Fu Technique talent.

He was exceptionally familiar and sensitive to firearms.

“Then I thank Director Yu very much.” Lee Se-hyun expressed his gratitude.

A proper Chief of a Police Station teaching you how to shoot.

What a great honor that was!

And it seemed this Director Yu’s marksmanship was quite good.

When Director Yu held the small shooter, an expert could see the skill, while an amateur just saw the excitement. It was clear he had received professional training.

As expected of a top student who graduated from the Police Academy.

“Actually, to handle a small shooter well, there are only a few key points.”

“One is the grip, another is aiming, and finally, it’s the mindset.”

Director Yu held the gun correctly and taught in great detail: “When I was at the Police Academy.”

“My teacher taught me that the first step is to develop a good grip.”

“It must be firm!”

“The waist and horse combine! Use the strength of the waist to connect the strength of the arms and legs.”

“To achieve the state of man and gun as one.”

“Next is aiming, three points in a line. Shoot a few more targets to get a feel for it.”

Lee Se-hyun observed very carefully, meticulously pondering Director Yu’s key techniques.

Even Cao Wenxi on the other side started to learn.

This guy was quite good at seizing opportunities.

“Director Yu, what about the last step, mindset?”

Lee Se-hyun asked, “Are there any key techniques for mindset?”

Director Yu pondered for a moment and said, “Speaking of mindset, there really aren’t any techniques to pay attention to.”

“It’s not like aiming and gripping, which are tangible activities that can be corrected through continuous practice.”

“Mindset is intangible content. If I had to say there’s a technique.”

Director Yu paused, then slowly took a deep breath and said, “Pay attention to your breathing rhythm.”

“As long as your breathing rhythm is stable, then there’s no problem.”

Director Yu’s words reminded Lee Se-hyun of a certain film and television drama.

A gunfight movie starring the greasy sect leader.

The greasy sect leader played a genius sniper in it.

He created a unique skill.

When shooting a sniper rifle, hold your breath, which eliminates the problem of chaotic breathing rhythm.

Achieving a state of no distractions.

One shot, one kill!

As he spoke, Lee Se-hyun quickly drew his gun, disengaged the safety, aimed at the bullseye, held his breath, and swiftly pulled the trigger.

Three shots in one second.

“Bang bang bang!!!”

This sudden burst of gunfire startled everyone.

Director Yu thought to himself, sibal! Does it have to be so sudden?

He instinctively almost prostrated himself on the ground, thinking someone had come to assassinate him.

Cao Wenxi, being closest to Lee Se-hyun, almost dropped his pistol from fright.

My goodness!

Boss, why didn’t you say anything before you started shooting?

Pulling the trigger like a machine gun, the small shooter fired automatically in rapid succession.

It almost gave him a heart attack.

[Director Yu, Cao Wenxi’s negative emotional value +10]

Soon, the target scorer shouted.

“Target position 2, 9 rings… uh, 0 rings???”

The target scorer looked at the target with only one bullet hole, a bit confused.

He remembered hearing three bullet sounds just now, didn’t he?

Although it was a very fast burst, why was there only one bullet hole?

The target scorer’s bewildered behavior left Director Yu and the others a bit stunned.

“Young Cao, go take a look. What is the target scorer doing? He can’t even report a target clearly.”

Soon, Cao Wenxi returned with the bewildered target scorer.

The target scorer was still holding the number two target.

“What’s going on?”

Cao Wenxi stammered, not knowing how to speak.

He was also confused. A total of three bullets were fired. The first was a nine-ring, but where were the other two?

Why was there only one bullet hole?

This matter was probably only known by Lee Se-hyun himself.

Director Yu leaned in for a closer look, sibal!

Hitting a nine-ring the first time he touched a gun, this talent was too terrifying, wasn’t it?

He even felt a bit inferior.

It should be known that among the Police Academy cadets of that year, the first time Director Yu touched a gun, he barely hit the target.

7 rings, or even a lucky 8 rings, was considered good.

Even so, he was still hailed by his teachers as the most promising sharpshooter of that class.

Wait... wait a minute?!!!

Director Yu seemed to have found a blind spot and deliberately rubbed the target with his hand.

He exclaimed, “This... this is impossible!”

“Absolutely impossible!!!”

“You... you actually hit the same spot with all three bullets?”

Lee Se-hyun, on the other hand, smiled calmly, as if he had done something insignificant.

“Ah shi ba! This is insane.”

Director Yu’s surprise was so great that he could have stuffed an egg in his mouth, saying, “Is this really your first time touching a gun?”

“You’re lying, aren’t you?”

“This... three consecutive shots in the same spot, I’ve never seen anyone like this.”

What level of skill is it to hit the same spot three times?

As is well known, when a bullet is fired from a pistol, the target position it hits.

Will be affected by various factors, changing its bullet trajectory.

Such as wind speed, breathing, grip, etc...:

Unless you have already mastered it to an extraordinary degree.

Capable of controlling various uncertain factors to achieve three shots in the same spot.

Director Yu carefully observed Lee Se-hyun’s palms; there were no signs of training at all.

Let alone calluses, apart from those caused by holding a pen, his hands were basically soft and delicate.

The typical appearance of a Prosecutor.

“Are you a once-in-a-million genius?”

Director Yu exclaimed. This was the only possibility. Since Lee Se-hyun was touching a gun for the first time.

Without extensive training.

Only talent could explain this behavior.

Little did he know, Lee Se-hyun had only shown a small display of his skill.

If Director Yu knew that Lee Se-hyun’s bullets could also curve.

It would flip Newton’s coffin lid.

Director Yu would probably faint on the spot and lie in the same coffin as Newton.

“Siba old ma!”

Cao Wenxi also understood. It wasn’t that only one shot hit, which caused a single bullet hole.

Instead, all three shots hit the exact same spot.

Ah shi ba!!!

The coffin lid of Coconut Tree couldn’t hold it down anymore.

“Section Chief Li, you’re truly amazing! As expected of the boss Mun-seo has acknowledged for life.”

“Awesome!”

The target scorer was stunned: “This is the first time I’ve seen something so amazing.”

“It’s like a cow flying to the sky, incredibly awesome.”

Meanwhile, on the other side.

In a high-end residential complex with good greenery.

A couple was having dinner.

The man had the appearance of a young Idol, a standard Korean oppa style, clearly a semida.

The woman was pure and beautiful, every movement exuding a cool elegance with a hint of allure.

“Ah shi ba! Kim Ji-won! Can’t you just order takeout?”

“You insist on cooking yourself, wasting time, and it tastes terrible!”

Kim Soo-hyun, with his bowl-cut hair, said disdainfully.

He had been very frustrated lately!

He had just debuted and starred in a TV series, ’My Love from The Peninsula,’ which became a worldwide hit.

It even caused a cold wave in the neighboring Xia Kingdom.

Becoming synonymous with the Korean oppa style.

However!

His career had recently encountered difficulties, like the short-legged emperor of France.

He had met his Waterloo!

Kim Soo-hyun vaguely felt that his career setbacks were related to the woman in front of him.

“Eat it or don’t!”

Kim Ji-won said calmly, picking up her knife and fork to eat her homemade fruit salad meal.

As an Idol who successfully transitioned into an actress.

She was very strict about her body management and diet.

Kim Soo-hyun, also an actor, was different.

After starring in a Peninsula drama that became immensely popular, Kim Soo-hyun became a bit arrogant.

He threw all self-cultivation as an actor and diet management aside.

Doing whatever felt good.

This was also one of the reasons why he agreed to pretend to be a couple with Kim Ji-won.

He was genuinely attracted to Kim Ji-won’s body.

Secondly, it was to avoid a certain entertainment industry big shot who was attracted to him.

“Kim Ji-won.”

Kim Soo-hyun said, “How was the audition for ’queen of tears’?”

“Did you even talk to the director for me to get the lead role?”

“I haven’t received any news until now.”

“Did you even say anything?”

Kim Ji-won said speechlessly, “The crew decides who plays the male lead, and it’s not up to me, and I don’t even know the director.”

“You say it’s not up to you, but you can ask the director!”

Kim Soo-hyun shamelessly said, “Didn’t the director personally name you to play the female lead?”

“Are you still pretending not to know him?”

“If you don’t want to help me, just say so.”

“Kim Ji-won, you hypocritical woman!”

Kim Soo-hyun blamed all his dissatisfaction on Kim Ji-won.

Now, hearing that Kim Ji-won was unwilling to help him.

Kim Soo-hyun slammed his chopsticks on the table.

Seeing this, Kim Ji-won felt very uneasy.

She truly didn’t know the director of ’queen of tears’.

As for why the director specifically named her to play the female lead.

She was also puzzled.

However, she ultimately felt a bit guilty towards Kim Soo-hyun.

Kim Ji-won took out her phone and dialed the main director of ’queen of tears’.

“Hello? Who is this?”

Kim Ji-won softly said, “Kim Hee-won, it’s me, Kim Ji-won.”

“Oh, Ji-won, what’s wrong?”

“Is something the matter?”

There was some noise on the other end of the phone; Kim Hee-won was in a bar.

Kim Hee-won fawningly said to the young man beside him, “Young Master Zhao, it’s Kim Ji-won’s call.”

“Oh?”

Zhao Zhengzhe shook the wine glass in his hand and gave a crooked, evil smile.

He gestured for Kim Hee-won to continue the call with Kim Ji-won.

“Well... that, I wanted to ask Director Kim, has the male lead for the crew been decided yet?”

“If not...”

“Of course not.” Kim Hee-won said with a smile.

“What? Ji-won, do you have a recommendation for the male lead?”

“If it’s Ji-won’s recommendation, we will seriously consider it.”

“After all, you are the female lead of this drama.”

Upon hearing this, Kim Ji-won was a bit stunned.

Is it that direct?

Kim Soo-hyun, who was beside her, heard this and his face lit up with joy. He hadn’t expected Kim Ji-won’s status in the crew to be so high?

Even the director had to give her some face.

Under Kim Soo-hyun’s expectant gaze, Kim Ji-won said seriously, “Thank you very much for your recognition and importance.”

“I read the script and thought, for the male lead role, could my boyfriend perhaps try out?”

“Boyfriend?”

Kim Hee-won heard this and looked a bit troubled. He was just being polite, and you took it seriously?

A small actress dared to influence the choice of the male lead. Kim Hee-won couldn’t help but shake his head. This Kim Ji-won really didn’t know her place.

Boyfriend?

Is it that actor who became famous with ’My Love from The Peninsula’? This person does have acting skills.

He had even considered Kim Soo-hyun for ’queen of tears’ as a good option.

However.

Who the male lead was wasn’t up to him.

It still needed the approval of this young master beside him.

Kim Hee-won muted his phone, turned his head, and asked Zhao Zhengzhe, “Young Master Zhao, what do you think about this...” Zhao Zhengzhe heard that Kim Ji-won actually pleaded with the director for her boyfriend, and his face darkened.

Although it was known in the industry that Kim Ji-won and her boyfriend were pretending to be a couple, using each other as shields.

In reality, there was no real relationship.

But!

Zhao Zhengzhe couldn’t wait that long!

Time could even lead to affection!

A forced melon isn’t sweet? Even if it’s not sweet, he’ll still eat it!

Zhao Zhengzhe said disdainfully, “Want to be the male lead? Let that kid answer the phone, a coward hiding behind a woman.”

Kim Hee-won didn’t dare to neglect, turned to the phone and said, “Ji-won, the choice for this male lead.”

“It’s not something I can decide either.”

Kim Ji-won had already felt hopeless, and hearing that Kim Hee-won couldn’t help, she sank even further into despair.

“But!”

A turn of events!

“There’s someone who can decide. Young Master Zhao is right beside me.”

“If Young Master Zhao agrees, then there’s no problem.”

“Have your boyfriend answer the phone; let’s chat.”

Kim Ji-won’s face lit up with joy, and she handed the phone to Kim Soo-hyun.

If there’s something to talk about, it means there’s a chance!

Kim Soo-hyun’s mood also changed from cloudy to sunny, and he said fawningly, “Director Kim! Hello! Hello!”

“I’m Kim Soo-hyun!”

“Soo-hyun?”

Kim Hee-won said with a smile, “Soo-hyun, I heard you want to audition for the male lead of ’queen of tears’?”

“Alas, to be honest with you, Director Kim, Soo-hyun hasn’t received a script in a long time.”

Kim Soo-hyun sighed, “As long as there’s a role, a play to act in, even if it’s a walk-on, I’m willing.”

Kim Hee-won smiled. It seemed this guy was truly pushed to his limits.

Who told you to provoke someone you shouldn’t have.

Touched a woman you shouldn’t have.

Kim Hee-won said regretfully, “Soo-hyun, I actually think highly of your acting skills.”

“Especially your performance in ’My Love from The Peninsula’ is enough to prove that you are a very excellent actor.”

“But, this crew isn’t entirely up to me.”

“There are also other directors, screenwriters, and even investors; their opinions are also very important.”

“This...”

Kim Soo-hyun heard this and said with a bitter expression, “Director Kim, I really want to act.”

“I beg you, I’m begging you!”

“Give me a chance! Even if it’s a small supporting role, I can even do it without pay!”
