Online Games: Billions Spent on In-app Purchases, Archery Becomes a God

A God-level equipment set! Ice and Fire Saint Cloth! The second golden card depicted a huge, sharp arrow pointing straight upwards!

Selecting this card would unconditionally grant 10 levels.

Based on the description of its effect, this level-up could even bypass the level cap!

Even if a player’s level reached its maximum, it could still break through the cap and gain an increase!

As expected of a golden card from the tower of heaven, it could even arbitrarily alter such fundamental game mechanics and rules!

However, for Ye Xingyu, increasing his level was as easy as flipping a hand.

He naturally wouldn’t choose this card.

Below that, only the third golden card, located on the far right, remained.

The final golden card’s face showed three golden plus signs.

The three massive golden plus signs were stacked upon each other.

The annotation below read:

Attack Power permanently +50%!

Movement Speed permanently +25%!

Attack Speed permanently +50%!

If he chose the third card, Ye Xingyu’s attack and both speeds would immediately increase by 25% to 50%!

The effect was also permanent!

”Hmm... the effects of the first card and the third card both look good!”

After a moment of contemplation, Ye Xingyu’s gaze still shifted to the ”mythic grade Set” on the first card!

Although the permanent increase in attack power and both speeds was very tempting, since Ye Xingyu currently didn’t have a single piece of mythic grade equipment on him, he was still more inclined to immediately exchange for a mythic grade Set to use!

One must know, this was a mythic grade set!

How difficult was it to obtain mythic grade equipment?

Every Blue Star native knew it well.

One had to kill a mythic grade opponent to get a 100% drop of mythic grade equipment.

Furthermore, an enemy would most likely only drop one piece.

It was even harder to gather a 5-piece set!

Not to mention, it was an entire set! It possessed the extremely rare mythic grade Set Effect!

If Ye Xingyu hadn’t been lucky, he wouldn’t have been able to draw such a golden card at all!

The flip card rewards from the tower of heaven ultimately depended on luck.

There were probably significant differences even between golden cards.

For example, how could a simple attack power increase compare to the effects of rewarding mythic grade skills, mythic grade sets, mythic grade pets, or mythic grade professions?

Thinking of this, Ye Xingyu no longer hesitated.

He directly reached out his hand towards the first golden card, which was on the far left.

”Ding! System notification: You can consume 1 billion gold coins to upgrade the quality of the golden card to ??? Grade. Do you wish to upgrade?”

”What!!!”

When this prompt sounded, Ye Xingyu couldn’t help but be greatly alarmed!

He said with a bewildered expression, ”So mythic grade isn’t the highest grade on Blue Star!!!”

”Are there even higher grades after this???”

Ye Xingyu’s talent could even continue to upgrade and evolve mythic grade cards!?

This was something he hadn’t anticipated.

In reality, mythic grade was indeed the highest quality grade within the Milky Way Galaxy.

But the tower of heaven was not created by Milky Way life forms!

Its existence was extremely mysterious in the universe!

The identity, status, and abilities of the being who created it far exceeded the comprehension of the Milky Way Galaxy.

The authority and power of the tower of heaven far surpassed the limitations of the Milky Way Galaxy!

Therefore, it could transcend the limitations of mythic grade!

From it, one could obtain equipment, items, and other things better than mythic grade.

Everything still depended on the challenger’s ability.

Even without the same talent as Ye Xingyu, if someone could clear the 100th floor of the tower of heaven, they could still obtain items above mythic grade!

This was by no means an empty boast.

”Hiss~!”

After taking a deep breath, Ye Xingyu excitedly chose: ”Yes!”

Even though this upgrade required consuming 1 billion gold coins in one go, Ye Xingyu didn’t hesitate for a moment!

He directly chose to spend it.

He believed this investment would definitely be worth it!

In fact, as soon as Ye Xingyu chose ”Yes,” the entire tower of heaven suddenly began to tremble violently!

”Om~~~~~~~~~~~~”

A deafening sound instantly spread within a hundred-mile radius!

The commotion caused by the tower of heaven this time far exceeded any previous occasion.

Countless players were shaken by the sudden earthquake beneath their feet, unable to even steady themselves.

Tens of thousands of players stumbled and fell to the ground simultaneously!

The violent earthquake made it impossible for everyone to maintain their balance.

They had no choice but to sit down on the ground in a very disheveled manner!

Countless people wailed repeatedly, ”Ah! What’s going on!?

”Why did the tower of heaven suddenly go crazy!”

”Damn it! Why didn’t it say something before the earthquake came? It made me look like a fool in front of my friend’s girlfriend! Damn it!”

...”Om~~~~~”

Inside the tower of heaven at this moment, under Ye Xingyu’s incredibly astonished gaze, the volume of the first golden card suddenly expanded by 1.5 times!

Its original length instantly increased by one-third!

What was even more peculiar was that the card’s golden face directly evolved into a more dazzling and brilliant seven-color!

A large surge of rich and dazzling seven-colored essence instantly enveloped the entire 20th floor of the tower of heaven!

At that moment, the seven-colored glow enveloped everything within the tower of heaven.

Even Ye Xingyu’s entire body was enveloped!

Ye Xingyu’s eyes widened, and he looked at the seven-colored card with extreme surprise in his tone, saying:

”This... this is a Main God Grade artifact, a level higher than mythic grade!”

”I actually obtained a Main God Grade artifact!!”

”Do you wish to choose the Main God Grade card?”

”Yes!”

”I’m sure!”

Ye Xingyu chose the first seven-colored card without hesitation!

”Swish!”

The card transformed into a stream of seven-colored essence and directly poured into the top of his head!

Then, Ye Xingyu’s entire set of equipment was completely transformed.

A brand new, complete, and perfectly fitting battle robe draped over his body!

This new battle robe was woven from seven incredibly noble colors: purple, gold, red, yellow, ice blue, white, and emerald green.

Its appearance was noble, grand, and extremely beautiful!

It perfectly accentuated Ye Xingyu’s entire being with a divine aura!
