Online Games: Billions Spent on In-app Purchases, Archery Becomes a God

Devastating news! The main city has fallen! In fact, Ye Xingyu had considered putting the flame blade into the Guild Point Exchange. He thought about setting a very high guild point requirement for guild members to exchange.

But if he did that, no one would be able to use the flame blade in the short term!

Because the point requirement for exchange would definitely be very high.

Ye Xingyu didn’t want such a powerful epic weapon to gather dust in the warehouse.

That’s why he came up with this Warrior Selection Competition mechanism.

He wanted the guild’s elites to get their hands on it and use it as soon as possible.

The Warrior Selection Competition was thus decided...

Several warriors who had good relationships with Blood Cry and Dashan approached them.

They gently patted their shoulders and chests, saying, ”Commander, Vice Commander, don’t worry, your strength is the greatest, and all the warriors know that very well.”

”In this selection competition, you two still have the highest chance of winning!”

”The flame blade will ultimately be yours!”

”Don’t worry too much!”

Blood Cry and Dashan nodded heavily in gratitude.

They immediately made up their minds to win the Warrior Selection Competition!

The flame blade!

Blood Cry and Dashan’s desire for it was the most intense!

They definitely wanted to get it!

...At this time, at the Goddess Palace Guild’sstation.

Shen Zhaojun and the Qiao sisters came together behind Goddess Daji.

They recounted their experiences in the epic struggle.

When Goddess Daji heard that all three of them had died at Ye Xingyu’s hands and thus failed to obtain an epic weapon, she couldn’t help but frown slightly.

Her crimson lips parted and closed as she softly sighed, ”Fallen Sky God, is he still so untameable?”

Unless absolutely necessary, even Goddess Daji and Goddess Palace didn’t want to become enemies with Jun Luo Guild.

But clearly, the reality was not as Goddess Daji wished.

There would always be conflicts of interest between their two guilds.

Ye Xingyu’s ruthless killing of the Seven Fairies of Goddess Palace was something Goddess Daji hadn’t expected.

She had thought that Ye Xingyu would give her some face and let them off, more or less?

...Just then, a loud system announcement came:

”Ding! Xia Country Server Region Announcement:

This epic Descent event has successfully concluded.

We wish all players a pleasant game!”

”Whoa!”

”All ten epics have owners!”

Countless players exclaimed in amazement at this moment.

The final statistics were released:

Jun Luo Guild obtained a total of 3 epics in this epic Descent event:

They were the bow, blade, and zither (auxiliary profession artifact) among the 10 epics.

Goddess Palace Guild obtained two:

They were the staff and spirit ruler among the 10 epics.

Besides these two guilds that obtained more than 1 epic, the other 5 epics were divided among 5 different guilds.

Only I Sword Sect’s In the Name of the Sword, with the full strength of their guild, successfully obtained the popular weapon among the ten epics—the sword type—Moonlight!

The Shockwave Brotherhood’s ’Shock’, with the full strength of their guild, successfully obtained the popular weapon among the ten epics—the spear type—Purple Jade Qilin!

War God Guild successfully obtained the greatsword among the ten epics—Heavenly Punishment!

A newly established assassin guild, ’Sanctuary’, cleverly snatched the dagger among the ten epics—Fragrant Blood Butterfly Dagger—from the hands of heroes across the land!

A rising star guild, ’Grand Blueprint for Domination’, with the full strength of their guild, successfully obtained the battleaxe among the ten epics—Hellish Evil Eye!

At this point, the epic descent event, which had kept countless people tense and excited, unable to sleep, finally ended.

After several days of turmoil, the Xia Country Server Region finally ushered in a period of peace and recuperation...

In a flash, two days passed.

In the Warrior Selection Competition of Jun Luo Guild, Blood Cry, the former leader of the Jun Luo Guild’s warrior group, advanced all the way, defeating all opponents he encountered with his own hard strength.

He became the first place in the Warrior Selection Competition and successfully obtained the final reward—the flame blade!

From then on, the last wielder of the ten epic Descent weapons was decided.

Blood Cry ultimately lived up to expectations, once again becoming the number one figure among all warriors of Jun Luo Guild!

He also possessed an epic weapon.

On this day, as dawn was just breaking, shortly after most people had logged into the game and were busy with their respective tasks, the system suddenly issued an announcement that caught almost all players in the Xia Country Server Region off guard.

”Ding! Xia Country Server Region Announcement:

Attention all players!

Linyuan City has fallen!

Linyuan City has been occupied by Dark Star Creatures!

All teleportation points related to Linyuan City are invalid!

City safe zones are invalid!

Please proceed with caution!

Linyuan City has transformed into an extremely dangerous zone!

Players, please check the system map!”

”× 3”

”Whoa—!”

”When? Linyuan City was actually captured by the Dark Star!”

”Can we still go to Linyuan City?”

Countless patriotic players couldn’t help but exclaim!

At the same time, almost all players in the Xia Country Server Region began discussing this matter.

The sensation caused by this event was no less than the moment of the epic descent a few days ago.

It spread like wildfire among the Xia Country players.

Not only were people in the game discussing it intensely, but this matter also quickly topped the trending topics on major social media platforms in reality!

It became the most concerned topic in the hearts of all Xia Country players.

The group chat that Brocade of Mountains and Rivers had set up for the leaders of major guilds suddenly exploded!

Goddess Daji: ”What’s going on???”

”I haven’t paid attention to that side for a few days, how did it suddenly explode?”

War God: ”Where’s Shan He Leader? Didn’t the official say they would guard Linyuan City long-term? And constantly monitor the Dark Star’s movements?”

”What happened today?”

Robin: ”+1”

Divine Diaochan: ”+1”

...Brocade of Mountains and Rivers: ”Sorry everyone! I’m late!”

”Things happened so suddenly! I’m also very confused.”

”I’ll explain now!”

”Here’s what happened: At 4 AM this morning, the number of Blood Crows from the Dark Star suddenly surged!”

”Before, everyone saw millions of Blood Crows flying in the sky, right?”

”The NPC guards on the city walls could barely resist.”

”But this morning, the situation changed!”

”The number of Blood Crows visibly increased by at least ten or even a hundred times!!!”

”Even the NPC guards and sentries couldn’t hold them back! A massive wave of Blood Crows used their ’Crow Blood Tactics’ to forcefully break through the gates and storm in!!”

”All players and NPCs couldn’t resist!”

”Finally, the City Hall was breached, all players and NPCs were driven out of the city, and Linyuan City completely fell. At the same time, the system issued an announcement.”

”That’s the whole story.”

Goddess Daji, Divine Diaochan: ”Huh?”

Robin: ”It doesn’t sound like your fault, Shan He Leader, you’ve worked hard (ง •̀_•́)ง”

War God: ”Really?”

”Shan He Leader, I’m not blaming you, but there were already millions of Blood Crows last time. This time, there could be ten or a hundred times more Blood Crows?”

”I can’t even imagine that scene.”

Ye Xingyu suddenly popped up: ”...”
