Online Games: Billions Spent on In-app Purchases, Archery Becomes a God

Tower of Babel rewards settlement! Choose one of three happiness options! Here.

After Ye Xingyu killed the boss guarding the pass, the entire tower of heaven emitted a long, resonating hum!

The sound shook for a thousand miles.

”Ding! Congratulations on clearing the 10th floor of the tower of heaven! Reward: one random card draw opportunity!”

”Swish!”

Three bright purple cards suddenly descended before Ye Xingyu, filling his entire vision.

The upper half of one card’s face depicted two long swords clashing.

The annotation on the lower half was: Attack +30% (permanent).

Ye Xingyu trembled.

He had heard about the settlement page for the 10th floor of the tower of heaven in his previous life.

It was said that players would randomly draw 3 cards and choose one out of the three.

These three cards could increase one or several attributes of the player.

Or they could increase the usual three: attack, health, and defense.

The effects were, of course, permanent.

Players could synchronize the attributes and attack benefits gained from the tower of heaven back outside the tower!

The attributes, abilities, skills, or even professions obtained through cards could be permanently inherited by players!

Even when the game descended into the real world, all humans on Blue Star could gain significant improvements by clearing the tower of heaven.

This was the special nature of the tower of heaven.

It was said that the founders of the tower of heaven were involved with cosmic powers even more distant than the Galactic Alliance.

Their power was naturally immense!

Everything obtained from the tower of heaven could not be stripped from the rewarded individual thereafter by anyone!

In other words, the cards Ye Xingyu chose now would all have permanent effects!

This was why he came to clear the tower of heaven.

Every 10 floors cleared, he would get a chance to flip and draw a card, thereby gaining additional abilities and increasing his strength!

The quality of cards obtained in the tower of heaven was divided into three types: blue, purple, and gold.

The effects ranged from low to high.

Blue belonged to common quality.

Purple was rare.

Gold was mythic grade!

It was the pursuit all people dreamed of.

It was said that only a very small number of people might draw a blue card when flipping.

Most people would only get purple.

From the results of his previous life, 102 people on Blue Star had cleared the 10th floor of the tower of heaven.

None of them had ever flipped a gold card!

This showed the rarity of the mythic grade!

Normally, it was 100% impossible to flip a gold card after clearing the 10th floor of the tower of heaven!

According to Ye Xingyu’s estimation, only when clearing higher-level integer floors like the 20th, 30th, 40th, etc., would there be a chance to flip a gold card!

The difficulty of the 10th floor was still too low!

The chance of flipping a gold card might be 0!

However, because Ye Xingyu was the first player globally to successfully clear the 10th floor of the tower of heaven in this lifetime, he received an exceptionally rare opportunity to upgrade a tower of heaven settlement page card to gold once!

This meant Ye Xingyu was guaranteed to get a gold card!

This was the only opportunity in the entire world!

Ye Xingyu had to seize it well!

”A mythic grade gold card! Will I get a mythic grade skill, or perhaps a weapon, equipment... or something similar?”

”If it’s a weapon or equipment, then the quality will definitely reach the ’mythic’ level, right?”

Ye Xingyu couldn’t help but rub his hands excitedly, full of anticipation.

In the bottom right corner of the settlement page, a small line of text indicated that Ye Xingyu had one opportunity to upgrade to a gold card, waiting to be used!

Ye Xingyu excitedly glanced at the other two purple cards directly above.

He wasn’t in a hurry to use this precious upgrade opportunity.

He had to carefully consider this three-choice-one opportunity.

The face of the second purple card depicted a special arrow.

The arrow was covered with dense, black tadpole-like squiggles, like a ghost’s drawing.

A large ’Demon’ character was carved on its background!

The annotation below the card face was: Archer-type purple gold grade universal skill → Demon Sealing Arrow!

This was a purple card used to learn the Archer-type special skill—Demon Sealing Arrow!

Its quality belonged to the purple gold grade.

For a purple card, the quality was already very high!

If Ye Xingyu used his only gold card upgrade opportunity to upgrade it, ”Demon Sealing Arrow” would immediately be replaced with a ”mythic” grade skill!

Its effect would be several to dozens of times more powerful than Demon Sealing Arrow!

This second purple card, Demon Sealing Arrow, had a better effect than the first card’s Attack +30%.

If he only had to choose between the two, Ye Xingyu would definitely choose Demon Sealing Arrow.

Because a new mythic grade skill would clearly bring him a greater boost than simply increasing attack power!

But at this moment, Ye Xingyu immediately turned to look at the last, third card!

The third card was still a purple card.

The card face depicted a simple, pure black silhouette of an ordinary Archer.

The Archer’s prototype had no detailed features like eyes, nose, or mouth.

Instead, it was a simple human figure.

The center of the figure was entirely black.

Behind it, a large purple question mark ”?” was added.

The annotation was: Randomly obtain an Archer’s hidden profession.

”Whoa—!”

”This last card is actually related to changing to a hidden profession!”

”But the differences in hidden professions are huge; it could be bronze, silver, gold-grade, or with good luck, even dark gold, purple gold, or even later epic, legendary... grades!”

”The gap between them is enormous!”

”It can be described as the difference between heaven and earth.”

Under normal circumstances, a purple card could not randomly grant epic, legendary, or mythic grade hidden professions.

The best luck would only yield a purple gold grade hidden profession.

Anything beyond that was unthinkable.

Ye Xingyu’s mind raced.

Among these three purple cards before him, which one should he choose to maximize his gains?
