Leveling Up And Becoming Undefeatable

Chapter 1325: Most Powerful Wave

Luo Tian ignored the Black Robe High Priest.

The more indifferent the leader was toward the paladin legion, the more concern Luo Tian tried to show.

At this point, Luo Tian had made up his mind: he had to bring the paladin legion over to his side.

He desperately needed a legion of knight warriors like this!

“Prepare for battle!”

Kailin glanced briefly at the approaching Luo Tian and said once more, “You had better stay back. We won’t bother whether you live or die.”

Luo Tian smiled and said, “Don’t worry, we will take care of ourselves.”

Luo Tian wanted to say a few more words after that, but he noticed that Kailin was already focused on the front.

He had intended to ask her to hand over command to him, but he knew she wouldn’t agree. And the Paladin Legion wouldn’t trust him anyway. Another reason was that changing commanders during a battle was a major taboo.

Luo Tian turned to Liu Zhan and the Saintess and said, “Follow my commands once things start.”

Liu Zhan nodded and replied, “Got it!”

The Saintess didn’t reply, but her expression suggested her silent consent.

She had no experience with small-scale team battles. If Luo Tian had the experience to command this fight effectively, that would be for the best.

Commanding a battle?

Luo Tian had led not only small groups of twenty but even massive armies of twenty thousand.

He had done it once at Heavenly Sword City on the Tianxuan Continent.

In the online gaming world of his past life on Earth, he had led countless raids. Back then, people frequently hired him specifically to be their commander. A small-scale battle like this was naturally no problem for him.

It would have been even better if there was inspiring battle music to accompany this.

But in the Ancient World, he didn’t have his old War Leader’s System nor was there any Blindman Liu.

Luo Tian looked at the turbulent space and muttered to himself, “This kind of formation for the paladins is likely…”

What were paladins best at?

Without a doubt, it was their charge!

They were the absolute strongest force in a wide-open area.

Yet Kailin had suddenly ordered them to form a defensive formation, which would greatly diminish the power of a paladin. At this critical juncture, it wasn’t easy for Luo Tian to offer a reminder.

“Crack~!”

“Crack~!”

Space was torn open by a sharp claw.

A ferocious demonic beast werewolf lunged out! It was a half-demon, half-human beast that had already cultivated to the peak of the rank nine. It was only a step away from entering the great perfection realm and transforming into a full humanoid form. Compared to the previous two waves of demonic beasts, this wave was significantly more powerful.

Everyone’s expression turned tense.

“It’s starting! It’s starting!”

“Hold steady!”

“Hold steady!”

“Hold steady!”

Kailin shouted rapidly from the center of the formation.

“Boom~!”

The werewolf landed and let out a fierce roar toward the void.

“Awooo~!”

“Crack, crack, crack~…”

A massive rift appeared as space was torn apart. Then, a vast swarm of rank nine demonic beasts charged out, radiating the most primal savagery.

“Bang~!”

“Bang~!”

“Bang~!”

One by one, the demonic beasts landed.

They didn’t rush forward immediately but instead organized themselves into a wedge formation.

While the paladin legion was arranging its ranks, the beasts were doing the same.

Luo Tian was inwardly shocked. “As expected of rank nine demonic beasts; their reaction speed is incredible! I’m afraid Kailin’s paladin legion won’t be able to withstand the first wave of impact.”

The demonic beasts were in a wedge formation, considered the strongest offensive formation. Moreover, their physiques were incredibly powerful, with fur like steel needles and skin as hard as iron. Combined with their speed and power, they could explode with lethal force within a distance of less than a hundred meters.

“Fuuu~…”

“I cannot let them cripple my paladin legion.”

Luo Tian immediately flew out.

Liu Zhan instantly shouted, “Boss, what are you doing?!”

The Saintess was also surprised, having no idea what Luo Tian was trying to do.

Kailin and her paladin legion all stared at Luo Tian. Her brow furrowed as she said in a commanding tone, “Get out of the way immediately, or you’ll be trampled into meat paste!”

Luo Tian didn’t say a word.

He continued to move closer to the army of demonic beasts.

The Black Robe High Priest’s expression changed. He didn’t care who died, as long as it wasn’t Luo Tian. His eyes darkened as he began to build up his aura, ready to act if necessary.

“Right here!”

“Haa~!”

Luo Tian let out a deep shout before unleashing his martial skill, “Magic Charm!”

“Crackle~!”

A net of static electricity descended, enveloping the lead werewolf.

The werewolf swept its claws out and instantly tore the electric net apart.

“Summoning failed!”

Luo Tian originally didn’t hold much hope because his realm was too low. It was nearly impossible to charm a rank nine demonic beast. He was only using Magic Charm as a test because what if it miraculously worked?

The werewolf’s eyes flickered with a predatory glint, looking as if it wanted to tear Luo Tian to pieces.

“Thirty Million Volts!”

“Lightning Beast, come out!”

A sudden massive surge of lightning charged forward like a ferocious tiger.

At the same time, Luo Tian turned his head and shouted to Kailin, “A paladin’s greatest strength isn’t defense, it’s their charge! Release all your warhorses, pull back to create distance, and charge! Have you forgotten the most basic principle of being a paladin?!”

“Huh?”

Kailin’s eyes widened, feeling somewhat embarrassed by Luo Tian’s words.

What was a paladin’s greatest strength?

It was the charge!

How could she have forgotten something she had known since the very first day she became a paladin?

The other paladins all looked toward her.

Kailin quickly turned around and shouted, “Pull back and open up distance! Prepare for a charge!”

Kailin was hiding how inwardly stunned she was. She thought to herself, “In the entire Ancient World, only the Eurasian Continent has paladins. How could he know that a paladin’s strongest power lies in the charge?”

She took a closer look at the positioning of the werewolf pack.

Her heart skipped a beat. “That wedge formation would have instantly shattered my defensive line. He just saved us again!”

Even though she was reluctant to admit it, she had to acknowledge that without Luo Tian’s warning, their nineteen-person defensive formation would have been torn to pieces.

In the moment they retreated to prepare, Luo Tian’s Lightning Beast Kiten had already charged into the pack of demonic beasts.

“Boom~!”

“Boom~!”

“Boom~!”

The noise was deafening, but the damage dealt was a little embarrassing.

They were all -1s.

He didn’t even manage to deal double-digit damage to them.

Luo Tian himself found it a bit hard to watch, but his goal had been achieved.

As long as he dealt some damage to a demonic beast, he would receive the experience points regardless of who ultimately killed it.

The muscles at the corner of the lead werewolf’s eye twitched slightly. A low, angry growl vibrated in its throat as its eyes locked onto Luo Tian. It instantly bared its long fangs, leaned its body forward, and kicked off powerfully with both legs.

“Swish~!”

Its massive body lunged forward, its claws flashing with a cold light.

Luo Tian’s pupils contracted as he knew he couldn’t withstand this move. Since the cooldown for God Flame had ended, he unleashed it without hesitation.

“Boom~!”

The God Flame interrupted the werewolf’s attack. It wasn’t instantly killed, but it was momentarily stunned.

Luo Tian did not retreat and charged straight ahead instead.

At the same time, Kailin, who was sitting atop her warhorse, raised her sword and shouted, “Charge!”
