Special Forces Soldier: Me, the Number One Troublemaker of Wolf Fang

129: Chapter 129 Running WildA faint look of confidence appeared on the Major General’s face.

Thud, thud, thud... thud, thud, thud...

Helicopters flew in one after another, as participants from various nations for the Carlos Competition arrived one by one.

Before the competition began, there first had to be an opening ceremony.

This Major General from the Island Nation in the Water, named Major General Mars, was the person in charge of managing the Carlos Competition for the Island Nation in the Water.

Just then, a helicopter appeared in the sky, and Major General Mars on the ground suddenly narrowed his eyes!

That was not all.

Many generals from various nations on the ground looked up.

”That is Great Xia.”

”Great Xia’s helicopter has arrived.”

”I heard that this time, it’s Lieutenant General Gao Shiwei from the Southeast Military Region. I didn’t expect such a big shot to come in person!”

Generals from many countries discussed among themselves.

At the same time, several hateful gazes were directed their way.

For instance, Country R and Country H. These two nations had always been very displeased with Great Xia. However, they had no choice but to accept that Great Xia had been developing better and better in recent years, while their own nations were on a downward slope.

It felt rather like a poor relative they once looked down upon had suddenly transformed into an unrivaled powerhouse.

The helicopter slowly landed.

Lieutenant General Gao Shiwei walked out first, followed by Yang Han and Long Baichuan walking side-by-side.

Behind them were the members of the Dragon Blade, the Beast Battalion, and others.

Altogether there were only about twenty people; the number was not large.

As soon as Lieutenant General Gao Shiwei stepped down, Major General Mars hurried over, accompanied by an interpreter. He said respectfully, ”Welcome, Lieutenant General Gao from Great Xia!”

”The Island Nation in the Water always welcomes you with open arms.”

”Your arrival here makes us feel truly honored.”

Major General Mars did not spare any compliments; Great Xia was such a powerful nation. One of their Lieutenant Generals held a higher status than a General from the Island Nation in the Water.

That was why Major General Mars was so respectful. Many other nations also came over, including countries from Southeast Asia and North Asia.

Country R and Country H also eventually came over, albeit reluctantly, to greet Lieutenant General Gao Shiwei.

Although they were very displeased with Great Xia, they had to maintain surface-level etiquette.

Even though Great Xia was thousands of kilometers away, its influence could still reach here.

”Everyone, you are too kind.”

”There is no need to be so polite to me; I am merely leading the team,” Lieutenant General Gao Shiwei smiled.

”Lieutenant General Gao, please this way.”

Major General Mars invited Lieutenant General Gao Shiwei to a commentary stand, seating him directly in the center position.

Meanwhile, the members of the Dragon Blade, the Beast Battalion, and others waited in an area specifically designated for the Great Xia contestants.

Jiang Xiaoyu and the others kept glancing at Yang Han, He Chenguang, and the others.

Most of their gazes were fixed on Yang Han.

Because his military rank was simply too conspicuous.

He was actually a Major!

How old is he?

He had only just finished new recruit training, yet he was already a Major. Good heavens, is this fake?

Jiang Xiaoyu couldn’t help but mutter to himself, ”Could this rank be fake? It’s too unbelievable.”

Xiang Yu also had a complicated expression. He was a veteran who had been a platoon leader in the Beast Battalion for a long time. Yet, his rank was completely overshadowed by Yang Han.

”What kind of expressions are those?”

Long Baichuan sensed the strangeness among the group and said coldly, ”Does this Carlos Competition look at military rank? I am a Lieutenant Colonel; does that mean if I participate in this competition, I will achieve better results than you, hmm?”

”The most important thing is performance!”

”If he performs poorly in this competition, his rank will instead become his disgrace.”

Everyone nodded upon hearing this, and intense fighting spirit welled up in their eyes.

Long Baichuan was naturally very puzzled himself. He had been in the Marine Corps for so long and had achieved merits several times.

He was now over forty years old and was only a Lieutenant Colonel.

This Yang Han... he was about the same age as his own son, yet his rank was almost catching up to his own.

At this moment, on the commentary stand.

Major General Mars said respectfully, ”Lieutenant General Gao.”

”The Carlos Competition does not have many events; it mainly tests Physical Fitness.”

”These are the competition events for this time; please take a look.”

”There are five items in total.”

Lieutenant General Gao Shiwei swept his gaze over it. This Major General Mars was quite thoughtful to have specially prepared a Chinese version.

The first four items included a five-kilometer cross-country run on the Sentinel Island track, mud pit Combat, and underwater breath-holding.

Besides these, there was the shooting assessment, which accounted for four items.

The final item involved entering South Sentinel Island without any equipment to collect various badges. The more one collected, the higher the score.

”Hmm, this is fine,” Lieutenant General Gao Shiwei nodded. These assessment items were nothing special.

He believed that Yang Han could handle it!

Not only could Yang Han handle it, but the new recruits of the Beast Battalion were not weak either. He had heard from Long Baichuan that Jiang Xiaoyu’s breath-holding ability was extremely strong.

”Since there are no problems.”

”Lieutenant General Gao, shall I announce the start? The Great Xia soldiers have just arrived; would you like them to rest for a while?” Major General Mars asked tentatively.

A cold glint flashed in Lieutenant General Gao Shiwei’s eyes. There was a hidden meaning behind this sentence.

On the surface, it was out of respect for them, but in reality, it was looking down on the Great Xia soldiers.

They had been sitting on the plane; they hadn’t just finished a mission or training.

In such a situation, there was absolutely no need to rest!

Yet Major General Mars asked if they wanted to rest.

Wasn’t the subtext that he felt the Great Xia soldiers were relatively weak?

With Major General Mars speaking like this, Major General Yamamoto from Country R also chuckled, ”I think Major General Mars’s suggestion is correct.”

Major General Jin from Country H also laughed, ”Let’s give the Great Xia soldiers a rest; they look a bit tired.”

The two of them were directly kicking them while they were down, beginning to taunt them with their words.

Lieutenant General Gao Shiwei said indifferently, ”No need, let’s start directly.”

”Then, we shall start directly.” Major General Mars’s eyes flashed.

Then, he stood up, picked up a megaphone, and shouted loudly, ”I announce that the Carlos Competition now officially begins!”

Everyone was jolted, their eyes becoming sharp.

The soldiers from various countries were extremely excited, wanting to perform well in the upcoming competition events.

But Yang Han still maintained an expression as calm as an ancient well.

Xiang Yu looked at him and thought to himself, ”I didn’t originally need to participate, but to defeat you, I came to compete anyway.”

”You are strong in hand-to-hand Combat, but it’s impossible for you to be strong in other areas as well.”

Xiang Yu did not believe that a hexagonal warrior existed in this world.

Yang Han must be someone who was lopsided in his skills.

The soldiers from various countries had expressions of eagerness, with more than ten people participating from each nation.

The total number of people exceeded five hundred!

”The first item.”

”Is a five-kilometer cross-country race around Sentinel Island.”

”The requirements are very simple: you must run on the planned track. If you go off the track, you are directly eliminated.”

Major General Mars shouted loudly, ”Now—begin!”

As his voice fell, the figures of the soldiers from various countries shot out like arrows from a bow, sprinting wildly along the planned track!
